Did muay thai this year, insane feeling of being pure as fuck after the training sessions, but i think i stopped going after a 4-5 months because of the annoying ego proving mfs of like 30 more kilos than me that were destroying me without making me learn anything
There was cool ppl ofc, but lots of them making it annoying as hell too
And we also were way too much for a too small room
Didnt feel like a place to seriously learn muay thai, felt more like a place that just takes my money and try making as much profit as possible without really making you learn as much as expected
Hope you guys find good muay thai places to learn, i will search for another one too

Yep, I would definitely consider you joining another one, alhamdulillah I've been very blessed that this gym that I've joined (so far) seems like one of the best gyms. Not because of equipment or merit but because the coach really truly cares for his students. I learned the other day that if you come to him and you're missing one parent or both, he'll let you come for free. If you're a woman/girl, also for free. If you're struggling financially, you can also come for free and he'll also try and get you discounts on equipment or give you them for free. If you have health problems, he will go out of his way to personally help you recover from them.
He is trying to create a community of religious fighters, people who have incredible resilience and faith in God and have utmost discipline and respect.
If you can find a gym where the trainer is trying to build a community of fighters, then you've found the right gym. Those guys may become your closest friends!

Hey Ihsaan, I loved the video. I went for a few boxing classes and I can definitely relate to the overwhelming feeling of not wanting to go, breaking yourself down during the session and feeling self actualized afterwards.
Specs can be a real problem sometimes, why don't you consider wearing contact lenses? I started wearing em and will never go back.

I'm glad you enjoyed it 😄 I'm glad I'm not the only one who experiences it 😂 and wow self actualisation is a great way to put how I felt into words!
It's definitely a great shout, I think however due to my poor time management it wouldn't be ideal as I tend to get to the gym in a rush and wouldn't be able to get my contacts in 😭 I'm also considering the possibility that leaving them off means I can prepare to fight without them because in a fight my glasses would likely be the first ones to go.
