The secret boss is part of a quest. After killing it I believe the charm changes and you have to beat every boss in the dlc using it. The charm randomizes all your weapons, charms, and brings you down to 1 hp. If you complete it you get the (in my opinion) best charm in the game.

You don't actually have to beat the DLC bosses to turn it into the divine relic. I just beat all the Isle 1 bosses and a couple of Isle 2 bosses with it and it worked :)

@@statewidecrib2155 I've seen a lot of confusion on this cause I don't think people check the wiki all too much for these things. The relic needs 16 points to turn into the Paladin Relic, and the way you earn these points is by beating bosses on normal. Inkwell Isle I's bosses are worth 2 points, II's are 2.5, III and IV's are worth 3, King Dice and his minions are 1 each, and the Devil and Saltbaker are worth 4
Man, despite some DLC's being short, they are incredible to play and this is no exception
and extremely hard
for $8 you get a very decent amount of content

You can use the cursed relic on any bosses to unlock the divine relic. You just have to beat like 6. You can technically go back to Inkwell Isle 1 and mop up on normal difficulty and still get it. The cursed relic sets your starting health to 1 and cycles out your guns and charms when you use them. The divine relic starts you off with normal hp, but still cycles your guns every time you shoot and gives you the powers of the smokebomb, whetstone parry, and parry heart charms all at the same time. It's incredibly powerful if you can deal with the guns cycling out.
Gun cycling isn't even that bad, because it doesn't swap unless you stop shooting. So besides the charge shot, you can keep whatever weapon you want at any point.
@@thexp905 true, but it also switches every time you dash. Which most people do frequently in this game. It's still an easy trade off that I'd make any time. But, it is worth noting that it's difficult to S rank bosses when you have to randomly change guns with no particular order every time you dash or release the shoot button.

Looking forward to this but also sad it’s the end. Hope we get more DLC in the future, or even a sequel. That being said whatever MDHR work on next, if it’s anything as great as this game, it will definitely be worth the wait. ☕️❤️💫

Hate to admit this but it's called "The delicious LAST course" for a reason
And knowing it took the same amount of time for the original game to be made (being completely 2D animated then old fashioned way and all)

Even if it is the end, Ryan i recomend that you enjoy everything in the dlc, there's still lots of content.
Tip: You don’t need to fight DLC bosses to complete the relic challenge, you can beat it by just playing old bosses on Expert.
It doesn't have to be expert, I did 8 old bosses on regular and it turned into the divine relic.

The old time cartoon style, the animations and the boss battles are just so good. There really don’t be anything like this. It really will withstand the rest of time for sure
This part clearly backed up Ryan in his luck. He unintentionally found the Djimmi wishes for extra HP, triple first tried the Giant and the remaining parry bosses, and it took three tries to take down Saltbaker. I think this may be the most luckiest Ryan will ever be in Cuphead.
Yay! I just watched all three parts of Ryan playing the DLC of Cuphead. The DLC really is great. It's wonderful, fantastic, another word that's bigger than those ones that I can't think of off the top of my head. Very big thanks to the devs.

Whenever you let go of the trigger with the cursed relic your attack thing changes, deafeating all bosses however in the dlc turns the cursed relic into the divine relic which allows you to swap through every attack you have.

I find it funny that Ryan had so much difficulty with the first few bosses in the first episode and eventually, the gears turned and he remember his lost memories of Cuphead, reinvigorating his spirit and make him wreck everything else. XD

Ryan about the cursed relic,you can kill every boss to "upgrade" the relic,like,if you kill bosses from inkwell isle 1 the relic will "upgrade"
The cursed relic is doable in normal mode bosses, I recommend fighting bosses you know you’re good at like Goopy and the Root pack to start off

Hey Ryan there’s a new secret filter for chalice, chalice will turn gold and white and to unlock you have to go up to the cactus and talk to it and it will say a boss without saying it’s name example there are 3 vegetables that have been annoying to me and that’s would be the root pack fight them on regular and then go back to her and she will give you a different boss to fight keep doing that and bam you will have a secret chalice filter your welcome 😁👍

the more bosses (main island & dlc island) you beat and of course becomes more powerful
Hey Ryan! With the cursed relic you can play old bosses! You must play 7 of them to make it evolve to its full power. With the full power you will (when equipped) be able to change between all weapons by releasing and then pressing the attack button. You will also have full health and multiple charms will be equipped at the same time.
It's actually extremely worth it to do the cursed artifact challenges because it gives you the best charm in the game. (All weapons choosable mid battle, parry's give you extra lives, parrying non pink enemies damages them, and invincible dash) it took me a day to beat not only the entire dlc but the cursed relic challenges so it isn't actually too much work to do.

Cursed Relic you need to beat ANY 8 Bosses (Different ones each time!) with it equipped, it can be any from Inkwell Isle 1,2,3, Hell or DLC Island, Be warned though that cease of fire instantly swaps your weapon to a different one from your inventory!
Also! Try beating all the bosses with Ms Chalice and you'll earn a new surprise!

Ryan when you defeat the secret boss the broken relic turns into the cursed relic now you have to beat every boss including the final one and it will turn into the divine relic the expert mode will be easier to do with this equipped (I’m not completely sure about this but I’m pretty sure it will help)
So really what the cursed relic does is that when you switch bullets it will be a random bullet and random charm each time and if you beat all bosses with it, when doing so the cursed relic gets very op

One of my biggest recommendations if you do end up replaying the game with or without the spooky charm, is switching your weapon. I’ve only been able to beat the first 3 bosses, but using even the regular shot feels more powerful the the deadeye or whatever. Yes, it’s super convenient especially for a CZcamsr because you can talk and focus less on aiming, but the projectiles do so little damage you’re making it harder on yourself. Obviously it can be done with the auto aim proj, but others are more powerful and will save you from spending hours on one boss. Fire content as always, keep it up Ryan!

4:07 you are the first person to ever 1st try that level, that I have seen
Using the cursed relic sets your hp to 1 at the start of each battle and every time you start firing, a random bullet type is used. You could start firing and one type of bullets will start firing, and when you stop firing and start again, a different bullet type will start firing. You can also gain hp by chance on a parry. I'm pretty sure the heal happens because your charm randomizes just like your bullets, and a certain charm heals you on specific parries. Beating a boss with the relic equipped will change the icon of the relic each time before finally changing the overall relic after about 7 or 8 bosses. Also note you can level up the relic by beating any boss, the boss doesn't have to be from the dlc, so you don't have to worry about struggling on any new bosses. The max level relic is really useful if you know how to use it, you'll know what I mean when you get it.

If you didn’t know the kings champions are chess prices which can be shown in the background of every battle with the first being pawns, then knight, then bishop, then rook and finally the queen.
It’s funny how Chef Saltbaker looks more evil and scary than literal Satan.
Hey Ryan here’s how you unlock the divine relic which comes from the cursed relic in Cuphead the delicious last course so in order to unlock the divine relic you have to play through all bosses again with the cursed relic in hand and once you do that it turns into the divine relic with allows you to switch weapons when you dash and use multiple relics at the same time
hey ryan, some tips:
the cursed relic is not that bad, all you have to do is beat any 7 bosses (including inkwell isles and king dice minibosses)
also, if you talk to the cactus girl npc near the entry place of esther winchester, she will subtly ask you to defeat the root pack. then, she will ask you to beat goopy le grande, and so on until king dice and the devil (no dlc bosses included) if you do all this, she will give you something related to ms chalice. i dont want to spoil it :)
I actually genuinely think this is the best DLC EVER MADE in a game
I'm actually quite happy how Saltbaker reformed into a better person. I never really hated him.
If you defeat all the bosses with the cursed relic, it will upgrade itself and then if you go to expert difficult it will be easier.

Just in case you didn't notice, in the last image of the epilouge you can see miss chalice is actually alive and cuphead and mugman aren't in their ghost form so later in the story miss chalice was able to find a way to bring herself back to life
Here's a guide about the Cursed Relic: aside for reducing your HP to 1, it randomizes your weapon every time you let go of the "fire" button. Also, the first few parries will not charge the card meter. The Relic does, however, give you some benefits:
>Every X dashes will have the Smoke Bomb effect, making you invulnerable during the dash.
>Every X parries will be replaced by a special spin attack, which allows you to damage bosses by parrying them.
>The first few parries will give you extra health, up to 3 hearts.
>After upgrading the Relic for the first time, it will passively charge your card meter.
The relic can be upgraded by defeating bosses. Basically, every boss you defeat will add points to an hidden score; King Dice and his minions give 1 point each, regular bosses give 2~3 depending on the isle, and the final bosses give 4 (the chess bosses give nothing). The Relic is upgraded every 4 points, with the final upgrade at 16.
Also, the King's Leap just allows you to fight the chess bosses any time you want, or fight all of them in a row boss-rush style.
The fact that you had to multitask in the final bonus battle was so cool
‘With a greater foe more evil shall go’ means that after you beat 7 bosses (even main game bosses) it turns into a good charm
Hey Ryan there’s a special animation for the 2P both Cuphead & Mugman if you equip both players with the Astral Cookie charm. Check it out when you start off the run of the DLC Expert boss fights.
I just realized something,
When you first speak to Chef Saltbaker after the cutscene, he says "Remember Heart and Soul is the secret Ingredient"
And then it's revealed that there was a secret ingredient for the Wondertart, a *soul*
you don't have to fight all of the isle 4 bosses
you can just do king dice and each mini boss counts to the reward
it has built in parry for health
Ryan here’s what’s left in the DLC,
1. Beat the bosses with the Cursed relic and it’ll turn into something cool.
2. There’s a hidden coin behind the houses next to the bakery.
3. Beat all the OG games bosses as Chalice to unlock a new filter for her. Simple is fine.
4. And of course S rank all the DLC bosses.

Ryan! The cursed relic is the most OP charm in the game! If you fight 8 bosses with it, and it can be any of the main story bosses or the DLC bosses, it transforms into the Divine Relic! It’s CRAZY! You won’t regret it! You can’t fight the same boss twice though, all 8 bosses you choose to fight have to be different. As for difficulty, it can be either Regular or Expert. Try it out, it’d make for a great bonus video on Cuphead so you won’t have to end this so soon!
