- The following incident from the life of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna took place in 1914, before the War. It has been saved by Natalia Vladimirovna Khvostova. The Empress used to like very much to take walks by herself, and for this reason, she would drive out of Livadia in an open carriage. This she also did on the day about which I am now going to recount.

What a beautiful heart she had and to go the extra mile as it were and care for not only the child, but the siblings too shows the extent of the love that dwelt with in her. A real example to all of us. Thank you dear Empress Alexandra. I will always remember you.
Absolutely lovely. The Empress was so beautiful. Her daughters all resembled her.
I would have loved it if there was more info on the shoemaker's reaction when he discovered the kind stranger who was Godmother to his daughter was in fact the Czarina.
Only anastasia and tatiana resembled her. Olga looked like her dad and Maria looked like her grandmother Dagmar.
Look closer.
The whole family had such striking good looks yet they never seemed all puffed up about them.

I've never heard of this but it doesn't surprise me Empress Alexandra was a very caring very kind-hearted woman...she loved Russia with her whole heart and especially loved the rural Russian people (she felt uncomfortable at formal function's because she was shy)...I read recently that when the IF were held captive even the guard's ended up liking her and her family...of course that didn't happen when they were moved to Yekaterinburg and were locked up in the Ipateiv House 😥
Alexandra was a saint in life and now in heaven. What a sad, sad loss for humanity, but in heaven the saints and angels sing to her in beautiful chants. I’m looking forward to that Eternal Rest.

There is now “The Church on the Blood” Cathedral, built upon the site of their execution in Yekaterinburg, Russia. It was erected in less than two years and was attended by President Putin.
She was absolutely gorgeous....and what an incredibly sweet heart she had....I wonder what ever happened to her God daughter and her family?
