So about chat calling out the shackles, when you use it, it will do a HUUUUUGE AOE 0 damage attack, that will call the interact event, then if Mohg or Morgot are in the AOE, they get shackled.
The thing about this AOE, is that its so huge, go trough walls, and count as an attack that all invisible walls get reveled, all the pillars you hit to move get moved, and anything that otherwise have an event tied to it when it gets hit gets activated.
The hero grave with the triple chariots is a place where this is useful, because if you go trough the dungeon and hit a pillar, a light will shine on the chariots and destroy them, however, once you go into the room with the double side by side chariot, you can use the shackle and activate the pillar from outside, skipping that whole place, and destroying the chariots.
There are more places where this is useful, but i cant think of them at the moment.
Also, in this speedrun, you already go to patches, and get his bell, all you have to do is take the time to give it to the merchant and buy the thing, am shure it would save a lot of time in the two Morgot fights and the chariots.

@@slytheninja I mean, this category has CRAZY time save potential. He wasted like 3 minutes with his gold foot fail, another 8 or so in Sofria valley on a good amount of deaths. With proper routing and serious runs this could see sub 7.5 even 6
It’s astounding how Aggy is able to make this kind of run entertaining. As impressive as his skills are in his runs, I watch him because he’s just funny as hell, man. It can’t be easy to just be “on” all the time but he makes it look positively effortless.

Hope you see this Aggy! If you need one more stonesword key for the end of your run, you can route in one when you fall from one section of bridge to another after killing the ulcerated tree spirit in Mt. Gelmir. There's a stonesword key on that bridge!

@@miweneia That depends on whether he keeps doing this on patch 1.02 or always the latest. They've nerfed both weapons he's using and fixed the pegasus glitch, so it's definitely going to be different.
I agree. The setup is the most interesting. Ive seen the main bosses hundreds of times. If made 4 characters and the last two i stopped at beast clergyman because its just a boring boss run then.

Hey man! I’m loving your content lately. One of the most positive people in the speedrunning community for sure! I have a question. So I noticed that if you have godricks great rune activated and you quit out it refills your fp. Do you think it would be beneficial to use that in a run like this because you would have infinite bloodhound step? Or do you think the time it takes getting the tune arcs and actually activating the run isn’t worth?
Quitting out for the FP refill is faster, but my guess for why he doesn’t is that constantly quitting out over a 9hr run would get very tiresome and the time save difference is small enough that a long and not as competitive category like this doesn’t need to.

This is awesome! Can someone explain to me the the issue near the beginning where he quit out on the same frame as he died while in the Siofra River? He mentioned the run being invalidated, and I saw comments about Alt+F4 being something that's not allowed? He mentioned a few moments later that his run was ok and I was relieved. I'm new to the speedrunning world, but why would a forced game quit after a crash invalidate a run? Why is something like that disqualifiable? Can someone explain this to me? @@TwackGod if you quit out on the exact frame you die, it soft locks the game which requires an alt+f4, which is allowed but only if you load back in and are dead. If you spawn in and are still alive before the place where you actually died, run is invalid
4:50:05 hi aggy, i consistently able to spawn that bell bearing hunter doing the second pass up time, so the step i took after got beaten by that hunter is pass up time, exit bonfire, see the turtle still there, pass up time again, and poof the turtle is gone. hope this help
You can have a major time save in the snowfields by doing the ruin "glitch". By jumping off the mountain. You can take out the death bird and tree spirit at the same time. In about 30 seconds they say commander Niall ad well but I haven't seen it proven. Just jave to agro the bird first.

Fun fact, you can perma stagger god devouring snake/rykard by just using the R2 attack, with no combos.

The beginning of this run gave me massive Skyrim vibes, scaling mountains like they’re nothing on horseback. Good times
Funny how they fixed the soft wrong warps but alt+f4 still works. Saves a lot of time and effort on new games and +s though. Farum for the dragon stones, Nokron for the larval tears. Both essential for optimal fun :p

Small mistakes like not healing earlier to be at full hp or rolling past certain small enemy's attacks are what's gonna make the endgame to this run tough

This run inspired me to respec into being able to use Sword of Night and Flame. BUT...being that I'm playing on the current patch the results are less glorious than this run to have one believe Sword of Night and flame to be. I'd say it's roughly equal parts nerfs and my being a scrub😂
EIther way this run is fascinating and I can't wait to see how this run gets even more fascinating as it gets optimized.

Could save like ten minutes from getting Swamp Flies in Mohgwyn Palace and using that to kill the Caelid Dragon instead of tickling it with an unupgraded Katana.
