  • Behind the scenes on Greenpeace's music video 'Don't Stop' with director Samona Olanipekun, protege of Sir Steve McQueen (12 Years A Slave). The director talks through the metaphors behind Don't Stop, a modern climate fable.
Don’t Stop is a contemporary fable about being young in the world today. The song is a call to action for people worried about their future and the state of the planet, and a rallying cry for those who dream of a better tomorrow.
Together we can stand up to the fossil fuel industry.

This was brilliantly done. I love how the overconsumption metaphor in the video could easily represent a number of areas in our society that is hurting our environment: the oil industry, the animal farming industry, the palm oil industry etc. that needs attention. It was an umbrella image of over consumption that is devastating the planet to name just a few of many areas of destruction.
