I've heard Edge and Christian both talk about how they hated receiving the Swanton Bomb. Hardy even admitted that after a while, he stopped trying to control it and just made sure he landed on his opponent. His full weight crashing down.
Jeff almost always landed more on his butt/hip on the mat compared to his back on the person laying down.
I’m surprised Santino’s “COBRA” is not on this list
It should have been banned because it can kill someone
The poison is real
Or Hornswoggle's chokeslam
It comes in deadly moves list.
That one is just straight up murder
Whoever that dude was to take Yokozuna's finisher in this video, hopefully had a huge life insurance policy.
in later years if you checked rikishi using the move he would hold onto the ropes to lower his momentum when going down to lessen the impact, the original banzai drop was dangerous though
I think Yokozuna did that on the second one they showed. That first one looked horrific though.
Someone said when yoko do the banzai drop, it felt like he was hit with a bunch of pillows
@@izaiaahjahad9240 500kg pillows when he was at peek weight, actually when he got heavier he often was more careful with it, not like you want to break someone's face by accident again... Undertaker took it like a champ, that mask was cool
I think thats Owen Hart
"Banned Moves"
Notes tons of moves that are still used.
You can't really keep wrestlers from not using them all the time.
Right spear elbow drop and more are still used
I've noticed a bunch of videos that have different titles than what is actually in the video
I see them do it all the time
It says most dangerous it looked like he did not mean banned
Edge's running hug is awesome!
LMAO
Still beats Bayley's Standing Hug (The Bayley To Belly)
kimbasland do you mean spear?
True, Roman's is real
Nightfac3
It's not a REAL "spear"
God damn, Bryan's got some Fingerprints on his chest there
Sunprism A chop is often dismissed as a powerful tool but as the marks on Bryan’s chest prove it can be lethal. I was watching a match recently with Timothy Thatcher and he had his opponent in the corner just firing chop after chop. The guy’s chest turned pure red and the look of pain oh his face, you could tell he was hurting bad.
@@precinctd i hope that's true, knowing how many wrestlers get heart problems the move makes me cringe a little
I remember Ronnie Gavin, left some jobbers chest, beet red. On the tbs show. Wow!
I thought this was a list of banned moves:
Like the Piledriver.
Or the Burning Hammer.
Or the Dominator.
itchweeed47 Wait,Why The Dominator?
@@s.i_xo lands on neck i think
xplay noob Yikes,I Always Thought They Just Landed Flat,Still Hurts Either way
@Ken Cooper of marshall tx Last time I remember it was used at the greatest royal rumble braun strowman and big cass I think

I don't get the banned part... Most of those move are legal.
It’s clickbait for views and stuff
@@WahBauarbeiter This video should be Banned for being clickbait!!! 😑😑 He could have just used the title "Most dangerous wrestling moves ever".
@@MaximusAdonicus your not wrong
pretty sure they still use the chop....
exactly !!!
I loved watching edge, but lets be real, his spear was a running hug.
The spear is about explosiveness. Edge has none.
Reigns was softer, but I agree here too
Thank you!! I’ve always said he had the weakest spear
But he did make it famous as when you think of spear you think of two people Edge,And Goldburg.
@@TwistedRing you should only think Goldberg. Or maybe Rhyno.
I would also like to point out that John “Earthquake” Tenta’s vertical splash was a nasty finisher as well. Unlike Yokozuna, who would grab the ropes to lessen the impact as he came down on the opponent’s chest, Earthquake had much less he could do to lessen the impact as he jumped up and landed on the opponent’s chest in a sitting position, at over 450 lbs.
& Bundy.
Pretty sure Earthquake didn't actually Land on you and Landed on his legs
There was no lessening of an impact of that bonzai bomb. That man landed and kept his knees straight.
Same with Mabel/Viscera.
Earthquakes looked like it would barely hurt, aside from a fat man sitting on you
If u get hit with Yokozuna’s move
You are a walking pancake
lol
Not walking a flat pancake how are you gonna get up
8:17 so that's why Edge had to retire.
Fitness Lyam is it really ?
Ya really?
To be fair, Edge had multiple extreme drops. The spear is just the cherry on top.
Fitness Lyam he was forced out of wwe I think not retired
He’s back now
I remember as kid when JR use too say kids if you wanna know what a chop feels like take a frying pan to your chest and there you go.Lets just say I was one of those kids that were dumb enough too try it. 💀
Ryan Kirk Were you ok?
Amelia yeah luckily the pots weighed more than I did at that time and I could barely lift them but when I did it felt like a slap on the wrist lol
Ryan Kirk Welcome to the club 🤪
@@sebastienhebert9758 I'm glad I'm not the only kid who did the opposite of the don't try this at home campaign and listen to every word Jim Ross spoke 😂😂😂
Ryan Kirk siblings and I did this a lot. We got a ton of pillows and we helped each other. Oddly while we were being stupid we still tried to be safe
I love that when u said wrestler protecting themselves and their opponents u showed a picture of Khali
It's safe when he has three moves XD
Wrestlelamia Ha Damn
But didn't Khali (prior to being in WWE) kill some guy in the ring?
LMAO
someguymatt probably by accident.
Well if Hogan had learned some other moves he wouldn't need to
have used the leg drop as a finisher, lol
He does know moves
L.....O......L
Hogan was so bad in the ring. It's painful to watch his matches
Hogan actually was a very accomplished wrestler, if you go back to watch him b4 he was in WWE you would know that.
Beth Waight go watch him in japan or the awa hogan was supposed to not be good in the wwf as that had nothing to do with his character
Banned ? Where. Almost every one of these is performed on any given day.
The chop, drop kick, elbow, spear and flying headbutt for sure. Clickbait
@@mrtrickay7111 gotta get dem views
Have you seen a Banzai drop in years? So it has to be banned :P :P :P
Triple h’s move is rarely used by himself when he does wrestle or Seth only because when they do it they let go of the persons arms so they can protect themselves
some moves only alowed by specific wrestler. Currently Undertaker and Kain are the only Stars alowed to do the Tomb Stone Piledriver. You have to prove u able to perform these actions .
That flyging headbutt is just.. crazy
How many times did Daniel Bryan used it? I'm glad he's still okay.
Accel Enough for him to start getting random seizures, which was one of the reasons he initially retired. I'm glad he stopped using it
I know from experience it used to be my signature move and it fucked me up I almost had to retire I'm 30 years old
Accel
Bryan usually lands on his opponent's chest though. A lot safer than landing on his opponent's head like Benoit and Dynamite Kid used to do
Scott Breon Benoit was doing it crazier though. He'd jump off ladders and steel cages. He'd also let people reverse it by putting their legs up or hitting him with a weapon.
I'm surprised RVD's Five Star Frog Splash wasn't here. Even as a child, I could tell that move hurt RVD like hell.
“Banned” these are moves that are preformed multiple times after.
The blockbuster is such a great looking move and kind of a top rope stunner. I really liked Buff as a kid and I hate that it's so forgotten
i felt that shit when yokozuna landed on the first guy😬
Dajai Anderson he literally got smashed
I would've died
Talk about banzai drop smashing a guys face with a big sumo wrestler backside
Bret Hart almost got even worse from the Banzai drop.
Come to think, it almost crushed brets skull which could be even worse
9:24 Just watching that hurt ME! How the hell did he survive taking that?! I watched in slow motion and the guys chest caves in!!
Hulk Hogan’s problem happened to Roddy Piper, he was 6’2, now he’s 5’7. Rest In Peace, Roddy.
Damn that's even shorter than me
That’s why when triple h does his move he lets go of the other persons arms so they can put their hands down
Not all the time thought. His earlier Pedigrees were fully locked. I think it was maybe during his Evolution days that he started releasing at the peak of the jump, which was definitely a good thing as it made the move much safer to take.
Yeah Until the Attitude Era ended he was using the pedigree completely locked arms.
Dude shattered dreams is fake! He kicks the turnbuckle
I suppose you missed when he performed the move on The Blue Meanie (aka Bluedust) at St. Valentines Day Massacre (1999)
K1productions it's been years since iv'e seen it. Gonna go back and watch it.
its still fake you idiots.. srsly.. dont you have some common sense? If some one really gets kicked in their balls, they wouldnt stand up 2 minutes later.. you should really ask a doctor.. what a crap.. i respect wrestling and all their actions, but seeing this dumb comment section.. man this human race.... i dont care if youre interested, but years back in school, we had some nazis beating up eachother.. one kicked the other in the balls... and this was far more real than in smackdown.. that guy who got kicked needed an ambulance, because he literally couldnt breath and was puking all day long..... and you think a "trained" muscular wrestler, WHO KICKS WITH FULL POWER does nothing? ... cmon man.. i know that some moves are really dangerous.. but this is just... for stupids who believes this crap
Like so many wrestling moves, if the move is done right, it is painless. But if the person applying the move gets angry and chooses NOT to do it right, then someone is in for a big serving of PAIN. The trick in wrestling is that moves done right don't hurt, but the same move done wrong, will hurt. And sometimes there is very little difference between no pain and pain. That is the skill of wrestling. Doing it right, at speed during a match.
The force of kick on turnbuckle if testes of wrestler lies above them can cause pain. You can't fake the force leg will produce and testes lie close to his boots
THAT Banzai drop by Yoko to the end OMG :O how was that guy even alive after?
I refuse to believe Randy Orton's punt kick isn't on this list
@6:19
Randy Orton has the most beautiful drop kick, ever.
Sola Scriptura so does Rey
Because he does it from a standing position, no running, no momentum.
John Morrison as well.
Reminds me of Rey
( The time stamp )
That was John Morrison on that time stamp
The WWE should have banned Benoit from using the flying headbutt because of his history of concussions. They just sat back and allowed him to destroy himself.
Terry Masters they told his dad thats not their problem
Anthony Kibbler yep it's a business they dont care. Other than trying to get good publicity they dont care. He made them money and fans like me cheered the guy on. He was my favorite wrestler of all time now I cant see any of his matches anymore. Wish he could have just stopped that move. It was cool but his crossface was the finisher. If we woulda known better but it was all fake and no one cared, but wwe should have banned that move years ago.
Its also our fault, because we kept asking for higher flying, harder impacts, more chair shots to the head, etc. Not a single one of us in the crowd stood up and said "Dammit STOP!!"
K1productions - Partly, but also a huge factor in those high risk moves was people who weren't over at all having to do crazy stuff to get noticed.
Terry Masters benoit destroyed himself u idiot. he shouldn't have to be told if ur doing a move and getting hurt over it to change the way u perform the move or to not not do that move. thats his own stupidity. also he hid most of his injuries from wwe.
Brett Hart talks so highly of Yokozuna and how he was so careful and never hurt anyone. Don't think Yoko every sat on him!
Respect to all the wrestlers who accepted the Banzai drop and lived to remember how painfall it was
If I received that the fight would've turned real
That man ate checks the time 2:03
Most every move in professional wrestling is gonna hurt both you and your opponent. Even performed perfectly. That's why undertaker seems so old even though he's barely 52
He's actually only 34.
Dude 52 is old
That was such a mouth full especially with his accent! 1:51-1:57 And he said is fluently!!! We appreciate your work so much!
0:12 fish be like
Non of these moves are. Banned. Fix you title for the video
Fix. you coment, the wurds are splet rong
Kraft Punk he talks like Dennis rodman captions on ig
Shattered dreams should not be on the list they fake it
Peter stamer Not so much "Fake it" but I always assumed it wasnt that bad because Goldust actually kicks the turnbuckle pad instead. I mean, I'm sure the guy receiving still feels something but its nowhere near an actual kick to the balls.
hersh23 I'm an Indy wrestler, u don't feel it lol
Same with the Bandai drop. Tho I'm sure they did botch it sometimes tho
Yes but I can assure you it takes a toll on Goldust's leg to punt kick the turnbuckle like that.
its faked obviously because if he hits it he can kill u it can cause damage to the vagus nerve
3:46 that's a t pose
4:52 oh God that won't feel good
I love how it looks like the wrestler is in the air higher from an angle in the picture but in live matches it looks like a small little jump 3:46
Nowadays, the “(karate) chop” is a slap and should be described as such.
Wahoo and Greg Valentine delivered the real thing.
Randy’s dropkick probably my favorite 💯💯
The “ Stinkface” 🤮
2:19 its called shattered dreams because it shatters all your dreams of one day being a father
banned moves but the normal chop is on it and is still in use? get your infos right
Where’s the piledriver? It broke Austin’s neck ffs
Jdcryno and andy koufman and many others
Reportedly, Dangerous Danny McShain claimed his piledriver killed two of his opponents. I don't know if it's true, but it's definitely a dangerous move.
Pile-driver is worked. The gist is you have to push up at the right time to save your neck.
Jdcryno *FUN FACT:* But before Owen botched that piledrive/Tombstone on Austin,Austin did the exact same thing/Move to a Japanese wrestler! Should be on CZcams if u search Austin botched piledriver.
jon young No, the gist is to hold your opponents head away from the mat. The only bump they take should be to the back. Owen botched it on Austin and held him too low.
Five knuckle shuffle can hurt if you do it too fast too long XD
Gejamugam Latsoomanam 😂😂😂
9:04 that's easy to fake.
I remember the 1st episode of WWF Monday Night RAW on his Match against Koko .B Ware.
He landed his feet first and then sits on Koko .B Ware.
2:40 If you put it in slow motion you can clearly see he's only kicking the turnbuckle
Yeah I always notcied that about the Shattered Dreams but still the impact from that turnbuckle has to cause it hit the guys balls a bit too.
i took a lot of these moves over the years .most of the givers got hurt a lot more than the takers . you had to work with each other and protect each other . i never had shattered dreams done to me but its just a simple kick of the bottom of the buckle .
Hogan was never 6'7" he was more like 6'5" now he's 6'3"
That's what I thought
I saw on Wikipedia his height is 6'7 I was shocked, he looks like he is 6'5 at very most
He was like 6'7 or 6'8 during rocky 3 i read one time and when he fought the rock at wrestlemania he was 6'5 n i remember thinking wtf but what I read was talking bout steroid use n it blew my mind to find out not only does steroids make u stronger n more ripped but can make u a lil bit taller too
Damn didn't know fire was a move guess I'll just have 2 use my earth bending become the next boulder
Fun fact: Mick Foley is the voice of The Boulder.
The Shattered Dreams looks like it actually targets the turnbuckle. It's probably scary, but I bet it misses pretty well.
it is and always has...this guy will probably regret reporting it as real
I wouldn't mind seeing a part 2. There is a lot that could be mentioned.
Oh my god!!! I always get morbidly intrigued and so impressed at what these wrestlers put themselves through; really appreciate this video highlighting just how injured they get sometimes, it really isn't always that obvious and of course they try to play it off too
I can't believe you left the Powerbomb off the list it's one of the most devastating wrestling moves
and it hurts my cousin is a pro wrestler in the indies and gave me one its real and it hurts
Mr. Fugi and Professor Toru Tanaka's finishing move was throwing salt into their opponent's eyes. I can't see getting any long term injuries from that move. LOL
5:42 This came to my mind when you said "The Military Press"
was expecting to see 5 star frog splash. especially some of rvds
It hurts both of them. RVD was talking about it. He said it hurts him more then the appointnet it takes the breath out of him he said.
I love how the thumbnail shows the moves that you explain first like that’s what I love about you tubers and they do that thank you for not wasting my time
Swanton bomb had to hurt, particularly because 50% of the time the person moves. As a matter of fact, everything Jeff Hardy did/does probably takes a toll.. you could probably do a whole video on how Jeff has destroyed himself. Just watch rvd vs jeff hardcore title match and watch him swanton thru a table and nearly kill himself.
The moonsault looks like it destroys the knees of the the person doing it. Especially when they miss. You see them selling the missed move holding their stomach but them knees hit that mat 100 MPH.
Thatdeal79 Yep. Apparently that's why Great Muta stopped using it.
Most of these are not banned
I always liked how this channel uses clips and not just stills. Helps a lot with following along and to catch the moments id usually go look up after watching a whatculture video - thats not needed here, I jjust see whats good and it's appreciated by all of us im sure
YES
I would like too see more ...
Thank ya
Hardcore Holly, best ever drop kick. Double undertook is excellent, even when arms are released prior to drop it's still me favoured finisher. Surprised no mention of tombstone or piledriver.
....Why is shattered dreams on this list? Even in your clip, you can see what they do with it. Note rope/turnbuckle placement, and if that's not available, inner thigh kick done quick does just fine.
Well, firstly, that turbuckle still bashes your gonads, and other times he still kicks you dead center, though I guess that depends on the opponent and if they are willing to take it. Reference St. Valentine's Day Massacre (1999) when he punted Blue Meanie (Bluedust) dead center.
Watch the clip in this video. the turnbuckle doesn't even move. This move should not be on this list, lol
As for accidents and/or arrangements made before the match to actually hit the guy with it, that doesn't mean the move can't be faked. :P
Um, the turnbuckle is attached to a non-solid apparatus, so it isn't rigid or fixed in place. It DOES move, it just moves into the person sitting on it, who feels the impact THROUGH it. Physics 101
Physics 101, yet the video evidence (in THIS video and elsewhere) and terminology like "non-solid apparatus" tells me you ain't got a clue. The move doesn't belong on a list of moves THAT CAN'T BE FAKED. The shattered dreams is faked. Yes, accidents happen, yes, sometimes the kicker, but the move is very safe, and very fake.
Are you kidding me? It has elasticity, it is not fixed and rigid, it has GIVE. This means when you KICK it, it MOVES. If it is shown not moving, that is because all the kinetic energy of the force of the kick is transferred THROUGH it and onto the person seated upon it, meaning he FEELS the impact.
The turnbuckle cushions it, but it doesn't CANCEL it in any stretch of the imagination. To claim it does means YOU are the one with no clue.
Try it yourself and tell me how fake it is.
Craziest signature moves I've ever heard was the flying headbat soo weird haha
diving head butt. there were two versions of it
Boston crab/walls of Jericho suck and hurts really bad
I love Yoko, but damn, the drop my have been hell to take.
Yes please I want to see many more finisher / moves that can't be faked
Nia jax’s finisher is a leg drop 💀
Hers not bad but yeah totally agree
She also uses a powerbomb
She could drop that leg on me 😍
Los she is ugly
@@dylanwweandnfl4681 that's your opinion
I always knew those Yoko bombs where no joke! It's a brutal sport that takes it's toll on the athlete... Just look at some of the insane bumps Mic Foley took. Much respect!
I know this reply is a little late but you probably shouldn't trust this list. According to guys who actually wrestled against him Yoko was very safe to work with.
yokozuna changed the banzai drop towards the middle and end of his career he started landing on his feet instead of putting all his weight on to the person
Bro imagine trying to soften ur 400lbs. Its not happening.
The Spear is still my favorite wrestling move.
Jamal Sampson Goldberg wouldn't have had a career without it!!
Instinctively Chelsea same with Roman Reigns lol
It's really a simple and bland move in my opinion it's also way overdone even Charlotte flair does it horribly might I add
Not Edge's spear though. No power to it.
Same but edges spear isn’t like others and not entertaining
The dropkick and the spear didn't got banned they still use them.
Yes very many
I freaking love the Spear. I always make that the finisher for my OC in wrestling games.
Great video
The last ride must hurt like hell i mean ur up 8 feet up and dropped down
This list is lame as hell. The Hulk's mundane leg drop didnt tear his body up, it's the fact he was 6'7" and not an athlete. Someone like CM Punk orAJ Styles will do drop kicks and leg drops for 30 years, because they are tough, athletic, and durable.
Quit hating on Hogan he is much more athletic than most people
I wouldn't mind the Banzai drop if a WWE Diva did it to me.
Profitable xD
Bronco buster XD😂😂
What about Kharma or Nia Jax
What about Nyla Rose?
loved the vid but I do disagree with one, shattered dreams is usually the turn buckle getting kicked. though I do think it has been done for real way back during the hardcore title era. Other then that great vid are you going to do a second part. There are plenty more especially some from japan.
Except for where most of these moves are STILL used...
You have the shattered dreams(kicking a padded turnbuckle) and left out the Moonsault? C'mon now!
I'm also surprised you didnt mention the coast to coast. Shane could never stick that landing right.
Almost anything off the top rope is going to be a hard bump.
Benoit's top rope headbutt was always spectacular to watch.
Macho mans elbow drop was poetry in motion was like he was floating down to the mat landing with a thunderous bang from the mat
Where's most dangerous of all ? The finger poke of death
yes it's so devastating, it killed a whole company.
Just ask Big Van Vader, It's a real eye popper!
dxcooper exactly! It should be got honorable mention
Yeah it can't be countered and nobody has ever kicked out of it, truly the most devastating move
Can't forget the World's Strongest Push, notably on Batista
Idk about the spear. Have you seen Charlotte's? It's just a diving stomach clothesline
Voodoo Chile well it can still cause damage to the person that's doin it like Edge that's what took him out of action
Tha Taurus I'm taking that with a grain of salt that that's what did it to the guy partially responsible for TLC matches and that match with Mick Foley
Voodoo Chile it’s like a football tackle those hurt
One name: Rhyno
Cube Clutch shit you don’t even have to take on to know that the Gore Hurts!!!
Would love to see a part two
This channel sure lives up to its name. the chop banned? Shattered dreams real?
God damn!!! Did Yokozuna kill that guy?
0:50 I have also successfully managed to hit one on myself and it hurts like hell and leaves a red mark
At age 10,me and my mates did the "backchop challenge",seeing how many u could take.
Was a sore chest to say the least but 20 rapid one aftwr the other,i was BCC(Back Chop Champ)
"13 Banned Wrestling Moves...." that are all still used. LOL Loved the video though.
Next u should do a video of what
Wrestling submission hold genuinely hurt .
Jay Jay yeah I like that idea I do know the sharpshooter and the figure 4 leglock legit hurt I know from experience lol
Brian Stone most submissions hurt like hell a few are fake as hell though.
That banzai drop looked like a murder 1 charge
I saw something on TikTok like these
1:21 That Face
5:07 The Militry Press😂
Wait, wait wait! Was that Andre the Giant delivering the double underhook facebuster!? Jeez!!!
Yes I would love to see a part two and also I'd like to give a word of advice to aspiring wrestlers, Everything in that ring hurts, when you see your favorite wrestler doing that high flying spinning kick bullshit there's a reason they won't wrestle after they hit 40 (if they make it there anyways) that ring and everything in it HURTS and anything can go wrong,I'm currently training to be a pro wrestler and I can personally tell you that I landed on my back decent but one of my legs landed about a split second before the other and I've been waking with something of a limp for about a few weeks now,it takes time to heal but taking those bumps every fucking day and at the rate we do it today? we won't last unless we start wrestling smart and not smark.
In a training accident, I too landed on my back, but one leg was straighter than the other. the heel landed first and the force of the landing flicked my foot flat, but it was not at the correct angle to the rest of my leg. The result was I had a painful ankle for YEARS. Wrestling looks good and easy, but there is very little between being fine and being injured. Try an arm bar with your palm facing down, then try it with your palm up. That is how little the difference can be in some devastating moves.
Ever since the Chris Benoit “incident”, I knew the flying headbutt had to have something to do with it. When I was wrestling with friends as a kid, I came extremely close to biting off my own tongue with that damn move
¨wrestling with friends as a kid¨
thats exactly whta you shouldnt do...
@@omegarugal9283 it was a blast when I was younger, but absolutely has something to do with me being fucked up now haha
His flying headbutt had nothing to do with him murdering his wife and son.
DAMN!😮😮 PART 2 PLEASE
I don't actively wrestle atm, but coming from someone who has trained a shattered dreams is a kick to the turnbuckle, taking a fall from the military press is the same back bump (or front bump if they just drop you) as you will ever take, just from higher up. Landing from a dropkick isn't difficult. There are others on this list that are grey areas but ones like the diving headbutt is something I would recommend to never undertake and I wouldn't ever perform a kawada driver on someone nor would I trust them performing on one me.
