  • From April 13, 2023. This is the keynote lecture from our two-day conference.
    About:
On June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a historic decision, the Dobbs ruling, reversing Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which together had made abortion the law of the land. Pro-lifers celebrated, while pro-choicers mourned. The factual reality, however, is that the high court’s decision will not end abortion in America. It has instead sent the issue back to the states, each of which is now in the process of responding with a myriad of new statewide abortions laws, some of them more restrictive and some of them more expansive. The Supreme Court’s new ruling means a whole new world for the pro-life and pro-choice movements. We now have entered into a post-Roe America. What does that mean? What will such an America look like? What does Dobbs really mean for abortion legislation going forward? What did Roe mean? Where does activism and the law go from here? How are churches responding? What does this mean for faith and freedom?
    Bio:
Abby Johnson has always had a fierce determination to help women in need. It was this desire that both led Abby to a career with Planned Parenthood, our nation’s largest abortion provider, and caused her to flee the organization and become an outspoken advocate for the pro-life movement. During her eight years with Planned parenthood, Abby quickly rose in the ranks and became a clinic director. She was increasingly disturbed by what she witnessed. Abortion was a product that Planned Parenthood was selling, not an unfortunate necessity they fought to decrease. All of that changed on September 26, 2009 when Abby was asked to assist with an ultrasound-guided abortion. She watched in horror as a 13-week old baby fought, and ultimately lost, its life at the hand of an abortionist. At that moment, the full realization of what abortion was and what she had dedicated her life to washed over Abby and a dramatic transformation took place.
Desperate and confused, Abby sought help from a local pro-life group. She swore she would begin to advocate for life in the womb and expose abortion for what it truly is.
The media continues to be intensely interested in Abby’s story as well as her continued efforts to advocate for the unborn and help clinic workers escape the abortion industry. Abby shared her story at the 2020 Republican National Convention and is frequently requested as a guest on Fox News and other outlets. She is the author of the nationally bestselling book and movie adaptation, Unplanned, which chronicles both her experiences with Planned Parenthood and her dramatic exit.

Thank God for Abbey's courage and her journey Home to Our Lord, it's a miracle in the making and I am so grateful to have listened to her and met her 3 weeks after she left Planned Parenthood... A Pro-Life Champion Chris Slattery of Expectant Frontline Mother Care Pregnancy Care Centers who is a friend and mentor to me and so many others introduced Abbey at a fundraiser she did for his centers... Abbey was and is amazing at this talk and wherever and whenever she speaks, she is a testament to God's Love and Mercy even in the times we live today... She demonstrates by her life that with God everything is possible and we can become the Light in the darkness... Peter Lepre, Envoy For Mercy(MIC)
