Finally someone that use the real sound of the epiphone les Paul and shows what this guitar is made for thanks one of the best reviews!!
Thanks for watching! :)
Means he just plugged it into an amp without any pedal? Wow..this sounds great.. thanks a lot for doing that. :)
You're the only one who showed and detailed all the stuff this guitar has, that top flamed and all the combinatons of hambs and single, nice
Thanks for watching Juan :)
Loved the way you played and explained each tone
YES great review for all pickup combinations and song selections for each one
Really good demo, best one I’ve seen on YT good job!
Love this video man!!! Perfect review and I love the figures explaining the switch position, makes it so easy to understand.
Awesome that you are showing the pickup setting for each riff...thanks!
Broo dope video and perfect song choices! Love to see a part 2 to this as a review since you got it 👍🏻
Amazing video dude! Appreciate you posting it
Well done! Nice cleans....As oppose to the usual:"lets hear the guitar"(dimes the gain on the distortion channel and shreds) :)
You got cool energy bro, and your straight to the point this is how videos should b 👊🏾
Love the sounds man! I have the guitar and couldn’t be happier 😎
Hello from Kentucky and thank you for the nice demonstration. Thats an awesome looking and sounding guitar.
Thanks for watching Jerry! :)
Had had this guitar since 2016....will learn to play at my own pace lol
Nice ! Great video ! Now i'm superstoked to get my one .
I ordered the one with green burst finish, it looks so awesome. Can't wait!
The green looks stunning too! Hope you like the guitar :)
🎸Luv your choice of songs to demo with…
Thank for the review!!👍🏼
Thanks for watching! :)
Nico this is seriously one of the best guitar reviews ive seen, period!! Ty for using a wide genre of music to show the capabilities of this guitar. Subbed
Thanks Shannon, glad this was helpful :)
Nicely done! I picked one of these up used a few months ago in dirty lemon with an ebony fretboard. Super low action and sounds as good as most Gibsons I've heard. Great guitar for the money for sure!
defintly gonna get this one, thanks lad
This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks alot man I really appreciate your review 🙏 Keep up the great work and great guitar skills man :)
Glad this could help! Thanks for watching :)
I have the same exact model but in Honey Burst (2019). Excellent demo video and playing, thank you !! Subscribed.
Great video! Very underrated channel btw :)
It sounds nice, kinda reminds me of the George Harrison Lucy LP, also great video 🤟
Awesome playing man I've had my eye on that model for a while
Think I'll be getting one now 👍
Thanks! They’re really versatile guitars, really happy with it so far :)
Great review and presentation, just had a little request, if possible can you review CORT CR250
Great review, many thanks
Thanks for watching!
Honest n pure Sir! Thanks mate~
I heard a couple of TRUST riffs there?! 👍
amazing video, many thanks. I have this guitar for years now i got it how coil tapping works exactly lol.
Glad it helped! ;)
I’ve owned this guitar for almost 2 years now and I absolutely love it. It plays great especially for the price. I would recommend this guitar to beginner and intermediate guitar players and even advanced players too. The only downside is that the action comes a little high but that can be easily adjusted. Overall I have no other complaints about this guitar. It’s amazing!!😁
Hi Isaac! I ‘m with you man. I ‘m a brand new beginner (we’re talking a month) and I have it in translucent blue. Only
thing is I don’t quite understand the coil taps yet. Would you mind explaining to me how I should use them? For example: if I want to play crunchy like ACDC as opposed to more bluesy strat sound. I would really appreciate it because I’m at the point where I ‘m starting to learn songs and I want to get the tone dialed in right. I ‘m also about to pick up a katana mini because we have a kiddo on the way. FYI, you’re right about the action. I couldn’t play a bar chord to save my life when I got it. Thankfully got a nice set up and its right as rain.
Thanks!!
tjaymusiq hey tjay i have the same guitar but in wine red. It’s my first Gibson-esque guitar.(Mainly a Strat player myself) For Bluesy tones i use the neck pickup and pull the top Volume knob and turn up the volume and tone a bit.
It's the closest thing to the Lucy Les Paul at an affordable price. Great demo, man!
You just got a new sub. Nice editing
DJ Angelo Cabansag thanks 😊
Great, high quality.. sounds very very amazing!!!!!
The best Epiphone demo ever! Thanks Nico =)
Thanks! I really appreciate :)
Thanks for the vid! I just ordered a transparent blue one
That blue colour looks awesome! I hope you’ll like the guitar :)
Just picked up the same color at a pawn shop about a month ago. 9 year old guitar and looks brand new! Two years later, are you still playing it?
Brilliant sound. Love the AC/DC. A brilliant demo.
Unfortunately, these aren’t made anymore. I checked with Gibson/Epiphone and the last dispatches to the U.K. were made in June 2020.
I don’t like the new range and have been looking for exactly this guitar for ages. Having searched the internet for what seems like forever, I have managed to purchase the last brand new Wine Red Plus Top Pro in the U.K. I ordered it 30 minutes ago, so I don’t have it yet and I just can’t wait for the delivery man to arrive in a couple of days.
Then all I have to do is learn to play like Nico.
@Mark Seymour a week after mine arrived I found a very fine split at the headstock, which explained why I couldn't get it tuned.
I did get a refund and bought an Epiphone DC Pro, which is fantastic. Still quite heavy, but much easier to play. I love the shape of the Les Paul, but the DC is so much more suited to me.
Best of luck mate.
What a nice sound and price point. You talked me into buying one from Sam Ash. TY !!!
Hope you'll like it!! :) What colour did you pick?
Great demo video! I was lucky to be able to buy a used one (a honey burst without a scratch) at a good price after it had gone out of production. I'm actually a bass player, but I use this for projects in my home studio (preferably black metal) with an another fantastic Epiphone product; the Thunderbird Vintage Pro 60's bass)), so the Les Paul is for mostly just set to humbuck in the bridge position), nevertheless, a very versatile guitar that can be used in all genres. I will never sell it, it's a keeper!
I have one in bourbon burst. Your playing makes yours sound way better than mine!
Looks beautiful in the bourbon colour too! Picking the colour was definitely the hard part 😅
I’ve just picked one of these today in mint condition for £180 from a cash generator shop. I’m a very happy bunny having listened to that. Thank you!
Wow definitely a bargain at that price!! Hope you enjoy it ;)
Just picked one of these up used for £200 UK. Can’t believe how good it sounds stock. I’m used to buying Guitars and modding them… not this one. Sounds great just as it is! AND the neck is a dream 🎉😊
Bonjour, excellent vidéo, merci pour les configurations ! Au Canada environ $850 avec les taxes... À mon avis, ça demeure un excellent choix. Malheureusement avec le Covid, les prix vont à la hausse...
Hiya London calling, Just as well I have one already or I'd.be searching evilbay for one tonight 😄 Good to see a player who gives an honest run through. Top geeser.
Hey nico ,good video. What kind of amplifier are you using?.
Sounds great
Nice playing
I'm divided between this one and the ES version. For rock blues with gain mainly. Which do you think is a better choice? Both are awesome
2:00 didn't expect under the bridge coming :D
Can pick up one tomorrow at 350 EUR from 2013. Think that's probably a good price considering its nice probuckers?
Thanks for the demo - it makes to see that you can use the guitar fairly widely over different genres. To my ear it doesn't fully excel in any type, but does a really good job in almost every area.
You even adapted your songs to the type of coils you were playing. Nice touch.
Thanks for watching Nico :) Yes 350 Euros is definitely a good price if it's in decent conditions!
Hey man I’m from South Africa, I’m looking to purchase a les Paul standard plus top pro. This video helped a lot. Thanks man
Happy to help! :) Thanks for watching!
Thank you. I get so tired of seeing guitar demos that are basically amp and effects demos
Exactly that
Truly
Best version of Epiphone Les Paul so far
Thanks 😊
👍🎸great video, cool guitar and awesome guitar player.🙂🎸thank you.🎸greetings from Germany and The Cute.
Thanks for watching! :)
@@NicoSoro it's my pleasure 🙂🍀🍀all the best wishes. 🙂🎸
hey man nice video! this guitar has a D o a C shape neck?
When I split the pickups, the volumen goes down a half, but in your video I saw that it doesnt happen. How could you do that?
4:22 is aweesome
How does the weight of these models compare to the newer Epiphone Les Paul standards?
Hey there nice review, I was just wondering how well this guitar kept its tune, especially when bending the G a lot? Thanks man
Hey Will! thanks for watching :) It holds pretty well, the tuners are very nice on these modern versions
@@NicoSoro thanks nico
what AMP are you using for this guy?
Cool video. Are you French? I noticed that you played a song by Trust. 🤘🏻
Yes I am! I’d expect the accent would be what makes you think that haha
i own the cherry burst one...diffenatly the best guitar i own....nothing comes close to this one yet....real deal for money too.....
Thanks for the review! What colour is the guitar? (Blood orange or Cherry red?) and where did you purchase it? Thank you very much!
It’s a good question, I’m a bit confused with the naming of the colours... where I bought it (local shop in Australia) it was called Wine red, but it seems to be the same than the blood orange advertised on other websites
Thanks for your help mate! I’ll see if I could find it online at my local Sydney shops, fingers crossed!
This guitar or ESP LTD-256? no guitar shops here to try. Anyways, good review man.
Thanks! I haven’t tried any LTD recently but I’d expect a more define and less warm sound, good for heavy tones! The Epiphone is also probably more versatile with the coil split
Which collor is it
She's gorgeous indeed. Is that the wine red or the cherry red finish?
david wah Hey David! This one is the wine red colour :)
Hi! What would you recommend for the first guitar? Epiphone Les Paul Standard PlusTop PRO or Epiphone ES-339 Pro?
Hey! I've owned both, they are both great guitars for the price, I personally prefer the Les Paul just for the sound. Really depends on what you play!
@@NicoSoro I like pop punk, punk, alternative music, rock.
Looks like the Les Paul George Harisson had
Got this awhile ago, I recommend getting different strings and new tuners
I have an LP standard and this same LP standard Pro. The tuners on the pro are very nice. I see no reason to change them. They have been performing great for me. The standard (non pro) tuners I did have to change out. They were very plastic and “numb” feeling. The tuners on the pro are solid and I don’t have tuning problems with them.
@@c.h.r.i.s2253 my g string tuner is probably the worst, doesn’t stay in tune for more than a couple of minutes
@@tylerstahlberg could be the nut?
@@tylerstahlberg but then a dud or two are bound to happen right. The tuners on mine have been really solid. I did just buy it yesterday ($250.00) but no problems after a few hours of playing.
@@c.h.r.i.s2253 possibly, the intonation on it feels strange as well
this or player series hss strat for my first guitar, hard decision..
Always a hard decision! You'll eventually end up with both haha
Get a HSS strat.
is this guitar better then prs se standart 245\24?
I have both and they are both fine quality guitars. Across the board, PRS quality control is a little better than Epiphone, so you're less likely to get a lemon from PRS. Epiphone makes some high quality instruments too and the one I have is as good as my PRS. The fit and finish as well as component quality it close to equal.
did you full blast both tone knob sir?
Yeah rarely turn them down, expect for clean/disto switch if I don’t have a pedal
They stopped making these in 2019. Now it’s the Inspired by Gibson range 50’s and 60’s Standards
PLease... Is that a 2020 model? Thanks...
Hey Ricardo, 2019! ;)
Bien, mais dommage que vous n'ayez pas abordé les sons claires et jazz ...
Qué modelo de color es ese?
I think it’s called Blood Orange!
what amp do you use?
This was from Bias FX amp simulations :)
is it wine red or blood orange
Hey! The receipt when I bought mine said "Blood Orange" but I remember being super confused about those colors, as they look identical to me on some websites...
@@NicoSoro Exactly that's why i asked! Thank you so much . Best demo ever btw. Definitely gonna get this one.
Nice playing but RHCP is meant for a strat...the sound there just has it...
Epiphone website has taken off this model. What has happened? Have they stopped making this model?
It's a good question... It might be discontinued for production if that is the case! Most local shops or online store still have stock if you are interested :)
Honestly, what's best if I'm buying ... The new 50s, 60s Les pauls from epiphone or this?. Both costs 599$. I love the sounds of your video. 50s and 60s ones were released in 2020 I think.
@@charithratnayake8642 50s and 60s look good too! Not too sure what the differences would be... Surely the neck profiles must be different. I think they might have the same pickups that the PlusTop Pro but they may not have the coil-tap. Any way you can try them locally?
😂 no mate..I'm from Sri Lanka.. they don't have Epiphone Stores here. I have a friend in US. He told he can bring me when he's coming.. gotta have blind faith 😔
@@charithratnayake8642 No guitar stores that sell Epiphones? I got mine from a random store
Laudeerrr!
You playing strat things on a les Paul.
hey man nice video! this guitar has a D o a C shape neck?
