This woodturning video is a woodturning project using scrap 2x4. This is something to give to the one you love. The lathe project takes about 10 minutes to turn. This is wood turning a vase. The vase design is up to your imagination.

I love it, but I can see how this could be a really hot seller on the bad side of town! 🤣
Thank you!
We will just avoid those areas.

Sweet 🌞
Thank you Ray!
just love this, but all my 2 x 4 pieces are pressure treated, so I will have to find another one.
Yes, it's not a good idea to use pressure treated wood. I find a lot of my 2X4's at construction sites. Most will let you take the scraps.
Enjoyed your 2 by 4 project, sorry if copying your idea❤️👍
Thanks! Enjoy!
That's what they're there for.
I watch this over and over. Great ideas ! Do you use a bowl gouge a lot???
Thank you Larry!
Yes, I use a 1/2 bowl gouge 95% of the time. It's my main tool.

...quick and cool...I like it...👍
But I beg to differ with you...there really is no "scrap" piece of 2x4...just leftovers that'll be used for something at some point...😆
Matt
Your right...I stand corrected.
Thanks for watching Matt!
Subscribed; I was intrigued by the use of a plain ol' 2x4. Curious: why do you wear a half glove? Never been a 'fan" of gloves around moving machinery.
@@knothead5 Thank you! I appreciate that. I used to wear gloves to keep my hands warm in the winter. I have since stopped wearing them.
Great projects with 4x2 scrap. Have copied a few they are great! Could you tell me what you use to finish your wood please? I like that gloss finish. Thanks for the great ideas......
Thank you Steven!
I use a homemade friction polish. It's shellac denatured alcohol and boiled linseed oil.
Thanks for watching.
Very nice
Thank you!
Nice series, where do you get the test tubes from please?
Thanks Barney!
I get them from Amazon.
These are the ones I use.
