Custom listings with photos are not taken into account when they calculate the market price. Only regular Near Mint listings are used to calculate that price.
But my question to this would by why not make its clear and just separate the listings so there’s confusion on fine print research
@@EddieBrozKY I'd prefer if they did that as well. I have sold some JP cards on TCGPlayer and would much rather have separate language listings. However, that is a fairly massive undertaking on their end to add language support to all the different TCGs. Magic The Gathering has support for different languages, but that's it. Also, do they just add JP? What about Korean? German? Spanish? There's more than just JP and English, despite those being the most popular languages for most TCGs.
I don’t wanna be that guy but hell yea brother ! It would be a time and money investment but if I was TCg player I would look at it as killing the rest of the market NO-ONE. Would use TCg republic of TCg player had a Japanese tab and others
i think the solution would be pretty simple. Just have a japanese market price on the little graph. Just like there are reverse holo and holo prices and 1st edition prices on older cards.
YES !!! It would be a task/job for someone in their office but it would be worth it cuz they would put a lot other sites out cuz more ppl use TCG PLAYWR

magikarp ir was like $140 according to TCG player which is about £109 but on Ebay I see the magikarp selling for about £70 which is about $90

Yes but … eBay is wired unless you getting the last 20is recent sold just getting the most recent sold is wrong too

Dont think the sale of Japanese effect english on tcg, but you definitely need to read what card you're looking at
A lot of pppl are telling me this too but I just wish we didnt have to fine read the print to find this 😭 just image how many ppl thought they were getting a good deal and BAM Japanese

i do see your point however even if they did have a seperate listing and removed all the japanese cards from english listings that wouldn't effect the price too much, the population mainly prefer english cards for collections, taking out all the lower priced japanese listings will raise the average not lower it due to japanese cards at a lower cost to buy.... im just glad that the artworks are finally getting noticed and have the value based on art rather than just "play ability"
Yes ! I agree it wouldn’t go up much but in the Japanese it will even out the prices to Jason’s point in the other comments where in Japanese it’s 70$ish and they selling for 100 I just think it would help

The fact that the Japanese greninja is about $65 and people are buying it for $100 is horrible. They need to add a different category for non English. It's def affecting the prices. Great vid cuz!!
