- How to replace or upgrade your Hyfax sliders on a Ski-Doo Gen 4 without removing suspension. In this video I install the DuPont Sliders with Vespel inserts.

Few days ago we broke plastic part which is in front of this slider(probably it is here to protect slider) and that one screw that holds slider in place .And whole Vespel insert moved 10 inches . We planned to remove whole track from wheels but your video saved me from extra work. Thanks :)
Glad to hear my video helped save you some time! Please like the video and subscribe to my channel to share the news.
Just changed mine exactly like this guy does, worked perfect 👌 you see other guys loosening the track all the way off but it’s
Not necessary.
One guy suggested to first start the hi fax through the rear window and then starting the sled up and put it in gear.... The forward motion of the track will pull the hyfax out.. Just pick a target where you want it to land... Reverse the process installing with reverse gear of course.
I've heard from some people that works but I wouldn't put that in a how-to video.
Very helpful. I wasn't too sure what sliders were - mine needed them today so I wanted to see what the part actually was. A friend had previously recommended the DuPont version - and this video nicely explains features/benefits/why buys. Thanks for the education!
Do you have a link as to where you purchase those. I have a 2018 Renegade XRS with a 137 and I'm thinking about putting those on
need a link to those duponts !!!
They are in the Ski-Doo Parts & Accessory catalog.
@@robkoenig I'm not able to find them.
@@scottpelzer9231 Can be ordered from your Ski-Doo dealer.
Rob, thank you for the video and demonstration on how to change the slides. I was going to see if the shop could change mine but your demonstration shows how easy it is of going to do it myself. Can you let me know how you got your sled up in the air. Do you have a stand or a jack that you use? I appreciate any feedback you can provide.
In that video I used an electric hoist that was attached to the ceiling. The rear of the sled was lifted up while the skis stayed on the floor. You can use other methods to raise the back of the sled but this method gave easy access.
Takes 15 mins to change, yet spends 9x over standard hyfax that requires changing every 3K miles.
