If we are in a simulation, then whatever is running the simulation is way more advanced than we are. Our memories are fraught with misconceptions, so what is real, our faulty thinking or the simulation?
Great video! I liked how it established that the Simulation Theory has its roots in philosophy and not science--that it's a thought experiment and not something that we can attempt to falsify with scientific experimentation.

What if all conscious minds are part of a network which defines reality? Like each mind is a processor, a node in a greater network.
What if it’s true but instead of a digital sense, it’s a spiritual one. If everything is energy and energy “can’t be created or destroyed,” we find ourselves in a constant cycle of life and death ( which would explain why that dream of being a butterfly felt so real simply because it was a past experience) until we “awaken” or become enlightened. The pineal gland acting as both the gate and key to remembering who we really are, spiritual beings having a human experience. If energy is able to take any shape or form it would simply only need a third dimensional shell to maintain it but death might make us forget, this would also explain why some people remember past lives. DMT is usually released into the brain when one dreams and when someone passes on, however it can also occur during meditation because we find ourselves in a hypnotic state between these two worlds.
Yeah an endless cycle of living and dying is also what i believe, but What if your stuck living a life you already remember and get stuck weeks at time i call it ground hog day, like the movie!!!! Somedays I think I'll never escape then just as quick as it came into day and night the repetition is over!!!! And I go to the next day, like literally ppl think I can read thoughts or tell the future lol nope just already lived this life for 6 weeks stuck on repeat a monkey would know every word by now!!!

This may be the very best video about the simulation theory that I've seen y'all went further than just their being a real reality and a fake reality you'll actually choose to deep diving into thought experiments as well as reality itself and how our perception and complete lack of understanding of what reality actually is and could be and is not is profound and you all actually challenge that concept very well! Does philosophy is very basis in reality and reality is what we perceive it to be but what if our perception is dull because we can't perceive everything yet? Y'all did an amazing job

Truthfully, if I am living in a simulation it would not require such a huge amount of power. I'm the only individual and only what I am experiencing this moment. Everything in my past would only be a story I call memory.

It’s not so much a simulation, as it’s the thoughts and imagination of The universes. What some people call god, but not fully known or understood. I believe that’s why soo many religions have soo many similarities. I believe that not only the universe’s thoughts have weight, but do do ours. Energy is in everything, it’s just not known exactly what happens to it in every situation it’s exerted.
Think about how good your own imagination is.
Now imagine what the 'universe' is capable of imagining. OUR WORLD.

Again, these are just interesting beliefs I’ve heard or had, and I respect anyone’s beliefs that don’t try to hurt or discredit another person’s. What makes sense to me might not make sense to the next person, and I thoroughly enjoy hearing people’s perspectives. Like Edgar Allan Poe said “All we see and seem, is but a dream within a dream.”
Life and games are the same thing. it's full of micro transactions and different classes. It sounds like a game.
Excellent observation. At times, I only wish it was that way. I think what we feel would take up so much energy in our lives. Feeling is what makes us.. US. The emotions of life /death, love/ hate, rich/ poor, happy/ sad, and much more make us.
A friends' 91-year-old father just passed two mornings ago and just before he crossed over, he yelled, "WHAT IS THE PROGRAM AND WHO IS IN CHARGE?" There’s also the possibility that we are living in a universe where it is technically possible to create these “ancestor simulations” but are one of the instances where we just haven’t unlocked the technology yet (at least in public domain).
If we were living in a simulation, surely we would have got it right by now 🤔 x

Great head-scratcher. For simplicity, it’s best to envision a simulation for just one being. All other characters would be simple NPCs and only those NPCs and those parts of the universe observable to the being would need to be simulated with high fidelity. This drastically reduces the computation requirements. In addition, certain natural blockades could be inserted that would limit the being’s travel. For instance, in the simulation the technology for space travel or faster-than-light travel could be disabled which would limit the being to a single planet.
I was hoping you’d cover some of the evidences that we/I am in a simulation. For instance, there are many quantum oddities which point to a simulation.

Funny theory that springs to mind, is the Assassin's Creed Video Game series, based on Animus Technology with using Ancestors DNA to simulate historical events to user who enters it, from higher beings called the precursor's. Furthermore its a Game within a Game within a Game etc... 😊🤔

This was fascinating and the first time I've seen a good case so well put. You never know Where this channel is going next 😮 I don't believe we are in a simulation at all. Some people sail through life without issues, others have hell after hell. I have multiple disabilities and medical conditions and have carers in, and in 20 months over Covid lost I lost my mother, partner, father, fur family and my home. If this life is a simulation it can bloody do one 😕
Isn't religion really an explanation of a simulation! God, the creator, or whatever you believe in just a power higher than us running the simulation?

It's not simulation, it's the matrix construct. It's real, but it's not home, just the experience of life with limitations. This is an idea of reality shared among everyone, but with the different perspectives.
Let me be honest, I have severe difficulties, understanding this theory. I rather like to stay with what I believe I understand , and wait until my time has come to leave this world. By then, I might understand the new theory.
Let me learn more about it as long as I am here on planet earth.

The one thing that this theory completely ignores is, why would any level of civilization want to run a simulation of their ancestors, or for possible futures? It's pointless and therefore a self serving theorem. useless and pointless and, NO we are not living in a computer simulation. the very idea is an idea meant only for people to lose themselves and their hopes in considering. No simulation can account for the variables we live with. there is absolutely no possible way that a society could stay withing a simulation that would not eventually discover the limits of it's capacity to run all the variables we would have discovered it and would have failed as a simulation and it would have been shut down because of it. This idea is nothing more than science fiction based upon ideas of past movies already created and is a childish idea.
Also, there is an idea that reality is really perfect, such that everything you wish for happens to you unlike here in the world where wishing for a good thing and good things are harder to get.
Basically, humans have decided to enter a simulation of their own liking. The difficulty depends on the combined minds present in the simulation.
Each mind that enters the simulation carries intention and purpose that modifies the simulation.
Life is hard because every mind that enters it wishes to experience pleasure, and the only way to gain it is to be in a state of longing, thus the striving of humanity in all its complexity is just the harmony of all minds trying to maximize the experience of pleasure.
Pleasures like being loved, to love, to gain power, riches, fame, honor, glory, etc.
Everything we see is created. So, in this sense, we are living in a simulated world under the control of THE CREATOR who loves us and wants us to find THE WAY back to HIM.

What's that ancient Mr. Scott comment in one of the ST:TOS eps or books? A difference that makes no difference is no difference. Unless we could somehow prove that this is a simulation, it makes no difference to how we live our lives. Even as a person with a philosophy degree, it doesn't bother me one way or the other. I'll either discover this is the simulation or I won't. Either way, it's really not going to make a lot of difference to how I personally live. In some ways, it's another Shroedinger's Cat ... unless I can influence things once I know the "truth", it doesn't matter. This isn't bad as a life goes.

You know, there are thousands of people who have been outside of this simulation. They are called Near Death Experiencer's. Uncannily and against all random probability almost all share very similar experiences. I recommend listening to their testimonies if you truly want to get a glimpse outside. According to them, this IS a simulation. It's a school. One of the hardest schools. This simulates the much more perfect dimension there. And that's just the next dimension up. Not the final form. They are all God generated simulations to teach us about suffering, so to understand love and creation, and through us, as part of God, He is learning about himself through our experiences.
