@@user-io5xd6to1kIt’s not necessarily who Islam wants to fight, it’s also what makes sense for the UFC. The UFC still want that Oliveira fight because that Brazilian market is still their 2nd biggest market and then they have Gaethje carrying around the BMF belt.
In regards to the Martins loss, it was his 2nd fight in the UFC, he got caught it happens and he’s moved on, something Dan clearly hasn’t done

None of his fighters are in line for title shots, Eugene was talking about taking opportunities for a belt, not for any random fight.
Dan knows he cant be champion anymore. He realised his level when he fought Islam. He tried Featherweight and failed there as well. Now he's fighting just to pay his bills which is okay.

It seems that way, but realistically, it could be another 2 years before he gets his chance. How long was Dariush there in the top 5 and he never got his shot. Belal is there now and will never get it. Islam, himself, had to win 10 in a row to get a shot. That fact is, Arman isn't a "star" right now, which you've highlighted. While he may be deserving, he probably will not get it anytime soon.
