I have to give massive props to Jamie. Not only is he able to pull off the sweet but slightly creepy Orderly, he's able to switch to the cold and calculated One, AND be really disturbing and sadistic as Vecna. This man has talent for days and he ATE this role up.

ââ@@KCohere33 Yeah there's a bts video of him sitting with all the actors who play the Hawkins lab kids. He talked about being mistaken for a girl as a child because of his hair. I think he was trying to make them feel less self conscious about having shaved heads. It was so cute.

Jamie's acting is unreal, one of the best villains I've seen, Him as Vecna just blew me away. Not one not two but 3 twists in this episode!
I'll say 4 cos we didn't know it was gonna be him murdering the kids, but I can't believe they had 4 twists in 1 scene

It's even more impressive if it wasn't planned from the beginning
it actually was planned from the beginning, since season 1 it's always been vecna. the very first "demogorgon" appearance in the the show is when will gets jumpscared while riding his bike on his way back home from Mike's house in the first episode of season 1. But, if you pay very close attention, it doesn't look much like the demogorgon and it doesn't act much like an animal that wants to eat will. It even uses telekinesis to unlock the shed door when will is hiding from it. I believe it was confirmed that this was literally vecna abducting will from the get go. The reason vecna wanted to abduct will and not kill him or something is not clear yet, but apparently will's role in the 5th season is supposed to be massive and it clearly meant something major, it's just yet to be explained. Pretty impressive that it's been planned and executed perfectly from the beginning, as all really good series are (books, movies shows). Another perfect example of planning things from beginning to end before starting is Harry Potter, JK Rowling knew what she was doing and how that series would end from the beginning, which is why it works so well and ties everything up so flawlessly. Same story here with the Duffer Brothers
you can also hear the clock in s2 when billy was âpossessedâ by the mind flayer and sees himself in the upside down (i have no idea how to describe it help)

â@@shafiabbasi340 I don't believe any of that either. The Duffer Brothers *are* incredibly talented as the managed to tie every plot laid in the beginning into a coherent, straight narrative and they deserve all the praise for that.
But saying all of it was planned from the start is simply not believable. There are small plot holes that wouldn't exist in that case. And they actually have said that they pitched the idea of Vecna around writing season 3.
The Vecna twist is so fucking brilliant. One of my favorite twists in any piece of media. Even when I suspected something was off with him, I never guessed he was 001. And when it finally dawned on me, I never guessed he was Henry Creel. And when THAT dawned on me, I never guessed that he was also Vecna. The layers are insane! And Jamie Campbell Bower completely sold it. He's cunning and terrifying all at the same time. Seriously an award-winning performance!
I figured it out just before it was officially revealed. That's the sign of a good mystery. There's enough clues all along, but only when they're all put together it makes sense.
You slow as hell to not realize any of those things.
It was obvious he was One at the very least.

Cody jumping when the demogorgon pounced out of the darkness actually made me laugh out loud.
One thing I love about this season was how apart from Max, Nancy was the most important part of Hawkins Storyline, her saving Steve as a return favor for him saving her in S1 was so good

I get why most people are confused why El is talking so much in the lab before she got out in 1983. I believe itâs because since sheâs mostly been isolated and the only people she had to talk to were Brenner and the other scientists, they only had her get to the point and say what they wanted her to say or just tell them what they want to hear. Itâs not like theyâre helping her increase her vocabulary or care what she thinks.
Itâs actually already been explained in episode 8 why her speech changes
Yeah i mean, after this massacre incident too her mind clearly blocked all of it out, and then 4 years basically all alone with nothing but said scientists it makes sense she regressed in her vocabulary as they just focused on building her power. It was another way of keeping control over her too.
Canât be mad at Owens lol he did what he had to do to help her get her powers back and is nothing like Papa
Something that I find interesting is, Henry/001's advice to El to use memories that make her angry to use her powers is what Kali/008 told her. I personally think Henry tried to manipulate 008 as well but she used his advice to break out of there.

I loved Jamie this season, He captured the creepy ness, the evilness, the crazy of 1 sooo well.
A lot of people correctly guessed that the Orderly was Vecna and I didn't. I felt so dumb lol.
But I DID guess that Victor Creel's son Henry was involved in all of this. His scenes in episode 4 deliberately jid his reactions to the attacks and he "died" off screen? Nahh that boy ain't right.
Yeah i never guessed either lmao, I also never thought he was creepy considering he had to talk to kids all the time so the âputting on a happy voiceâ never struck me as weird. Iâve seen some reactors decide not to trust him after he told el not to trust papa and thatâs so bizarre because he was objectively right considering papa quite literally kidnapped children for experiments
i only figured out vecna was one because of the hints being a 'dark wizard' and how one mysteriously disappeared
there are a lot of combinations of people figuring some things out but not others
i feel like my path isn't common lol

The actor who plays Henry/One/Vecna is phenomenal. To be both creepy but compassionate as the orderly... and then go to utterly terrifying at the end.
Jamie is so awesome. His face can go from light to dark and when it's dark, it's really dark. he's got some good vids on youtube, and i've enjoyed him immensely in other movies (twilight saga and mortal engines are the only ones i can think of). sometimes he looks so beautiful, other times utterly demonic. that's some dang fine work.
Jaime did an excellent job as a vecna the first time we saw this episode when it came out it was mindeblowing very hipe they excellent job pasting The story plot of Henry/ 01/vecna falls perfectly With his character and managed to play a sweet and innocent but sadistic psychopathic Mean and evil at the same time.

It wasn't her life flashing before her eyes, she fought with a happy memory instead of sad and angry and that is how she overpowered him.

I was unsure of The orderly all the way until the reveal đ. I didnât know what to think of him.
Yup we had to wait....painfully but 8 and 9 are one hundred percent worth the wait. Now its really tryna get on with life and forget about the upcoming final season because I'm ready for it today like now.....the wait is too much đ
This show is a masterpiece.
After this episode, it made SO much sense why The Upside Down always had this beef with 11. And in the 3rd season, when Billy trapped her in that vision in Hop's cabin and told her "We're building this for you." that really was a huge clue as to their history that you don't really realize till you see this. It really explained E V E R Y T H I N G.

This is the benefit of having full creative control and having time to build a story. The duffers knew the ending to this story before they ever wrote the first episode of the show. This was the best season by far and if somehow season 5 is even better then this show will jump Game of Thrones for me as my #2 show of all time only behind Breaking Bad.
