Drills for Gymnastics Leaps | Jumptwist

  • Christina Gambino goes over a bunch of exercises and drills that can be used to enhance the leaps of you or your gymnasts. Whether you are a gymnast, coach, gym owner, or parent of a gymnast, these are great examples of drills that can increase the scores of gymnasts based on their leap performance alone.
    The judges are looking for amplitude, 180 degree split, even leg separation, and form for both your legs and feet. By training your muscles with these exercises you can form good habits during your leaps.

    This was awesome thank you. Not going to lie though, I laughed at the ring kicks just because you were like "and we are going to do ten, 1,2,3 1,2,3"

    Nice video. IMO, most of the work should be done from 90° and above, at least 45°.
    Good for beginners !
