This is so excellent, something i'll come back to, many times. I've already came back to it a few times, so far. I've always loved jazz, particularly with piano, and saxophone together, and likely that love won't ever fade.

I can't help but think that everytime I see this, I'm reminded of something that happened a couple months ago. I had a bad reaction to Pneumonia, and ended up in the hospital. It was at night, and I stared out the window, at the multitude of cars driving, and I was very envious of their freedom. Looking back, the next day, was the last day I had spent there, although it wasn't until evening that I left
Leave it up to a few doctors that couldn't determine when I was to leave. But I talked to a doctor that evening, (not one of mine) and shortly after that brief discussion we had I was released.

This is sad , but its poetry in my eyes. i felt that deep in my heart, it went deeper than my thoughts at night, it reached my darkest parts, darker than my secrets, during the day i hide them, at night the moonlight reveals them. 🎉

The music seems to transport you back in time to some smoke filled bar at the seedy part of town which ofcourse plays the best jazz.
I know another song, not at all jazz, to play before listening to this, to help set the mood, Affair on 8th Avenue by Gordon Lightfoot. (It was "the seedy part of town" that reminded me! He doesn't use "seedy" but you will understand)

The music's great. But, what the heck is going on with the office lights on the one floor of the building on the left? Flickering, flashing, and going off and on. It's bizarre.
An electric X-Man throwing a tantrum? Most likely something quite mundane like several bad ballasts.
It looked like rain, so I got up to close the window. That guy on the sidewalk was still playing his sax.
He was good, but I had heard enough for one day.
When I turned back to my desk, she was already standing in front of it.
"Can I help you?", I said.
"No, Mr. Starker, I'm here to help you.", she whispered. "You placed a Want Ad for a secretary in today's paper. I'd like to apply for the position."
"Cookie, you can have any position you want." I replied, "You're hired as of now. And from now on, call me Mick."
"Oh, thank you Mr, uh, Mick." she squealed, "You don't know how happy this makes me."
"Sit down, sugar, pour yourself a drink. We've got all night to get to know each other. And you don't know how happy this'll make me!", I said as I removed my tie.
That's when the phone rang. That's when it all started to go sideways.
Who could've figured that she'd wind up dead, and I'd be sitting in a jail cell talking to you?

I've been homeless 3 times in the past year. Left a trifling "wife". Many people say I'm a good man. I don't see myself as a good man. Just a man thats trying not to be a POS.
ANYWAY where I'm heading with this is I got a tour of an apartment that was remodeled to look like a speakeasy. I love that Era. I need a place so I can have my toddler. I'm still in the divorce court fighting for custody. I miss my daughter and being a father. Any prayers regardless of what you call your God will be appreciated. I want to play this music in my new place with a retro phonograph. Possibly slow dancing with my baby girl. Thank you guys and wish me luck

It was a late Tuesday Nate at the office, the rain poured down on the Seattle Streets...
It was a night to be filled with paperwork and a few too many cancer sticks.
There was a knock at my door, to my Surprise a gorgeous dame came to greet me. She was the kind of woman that made you wonder if the only thing in your drink was scotch.
And just like that I knew, I'd be working overtime.
Was she the tall drink of water to go with your Scotch? Did you offer a death stick and light it for her?

It was early evening on what had been a grey Friday. The nights had srarted drawing in and it was already getting dark. It had been a slow day and I was about to close up when Rachael rang through from the front office.
"Theres a Ms Pope out here", she said un her usual disinterested way. "Says she has to see you."
"Send her in" I said and in a second she was through the door.
Ms Pope was 5' 5" and skinny with short blonde hair done up in the new style. Her grey raincoat, cinched in at the waiste matched her purse. Her eyes were red rummed from crying and her mascara which earlier must have been immaculate was running, her devil-red lipstick smudged.
I took a pencil and pad from a draw and gestured for the girl to sir which she did without a word
"So", I said, "what can I do for you?"
She raised her eyes from her lap, those big doe eyes and looked me right in the face. Right thenI knew it was going to be a ling night...
I've lived this life a long time, too long some would say, but the day I met her made me feel like I was already running out of time. It's funny being in the big city, most of the time you don't even know what you're looking for, and then, bam! There she is, walking through that door. The classiest dame I've ever seen. Her eyes were dark, her lips were perfect, and I even liked the way she smoked her cigarette. Right then, I knew anything she asked me to do, I would do in spades. And it was that thought that made me realize my so-called long life was going to be shorter than I expected. But hey, at least the bourbon was good, and my gun was loaded. May 3rd 1am : im sittin at my desk with a slug of brandy in my hand, and lookin out on the city ,her lights twinkling like a thousand stars and i think of her, Lady Liberty. She stands tall over the city, a beautiful sword held alof over her head , and a scale in her other hand. I just hope that while im here, i can shift the scale, so those i love aint here when the sword falls
