So according to this there is only one great comic we have these days - Doug Stanhope. And a couple of good ones - Louis CK and maybe Dave Attell (if he's still around I'm not sure). That's it. Rogan never was a good comic not as O&A guest not as a standup.

Opie mentioned joe being hilarious live a lot and that was around the time joe had released the space monkeys special. I'm not huge on Joe's comedy but I don't think he sucks but the Space Monkeys special was one of the better specials at the time. Anyway I think opie wanted Rogan but even more so I think Rogan wanted the outlet to speak. You may not like him but you cant deny that joe won over the fans during the early to mid XM years.

But thats not the way the show is meant to be heard. This show is one of the pioneers of long form talk and full context. But if you must skip the palaver , search for opie and Anthony tid bits. Theyre fun too.
Am I the only one who skips through all the "someone does something disgusting" bits? For being so self aware about whether something is good for radio or not they sure do a lot of these bits
