Does This Fashion Flashback Stand The Test of Time? || Reinventing A Lost Style

- Fashion is cyclical. Humans have only one general body shape, so styles are rehashed and fashion circles back to the same silhouettes over and over again. The 1930s were the beginning of a fluid, diaphanous bias cut which later inspired the boho, hippie dresses of the 70s.
Your style aesthetic is influenced by the world around you, especially in your formative years. So, as a ☮️child of the 70s ☮️, I adore the fashion of the 1930s. Old Hollywood glam, La Belle Epoque, coiffed hair… coin purses that hold nothing! They make my heart flutter.
Thank you to @RaleighVintage for letting me borrow this little piece of fashion history!

What a stunning dress worn to perfection, as usual! How does something from the 1930s look so immaculate when something I bought a year or two ago and worn maybe 5 times looks like junk? Vintage tailoring and materials were something else!
OMG, that color! *chef’s kiss*
Right?! Love this blue 😍😍
That vintage brooch hack is genius. And the neutral sparkling jewelry is unexpected and perfect, as is the coin purse.
Yay😍😍
SO STUNNING.
XOXO
That is a beautiful color ❤
That dress looks fabulous on you.
Learning, learning, always learning from you. Love that brooch idea. That cobalt blue is one of my favourite colours. Gorgeous!!

I love your videos! Makes me want to "dress up" more. I am friends with a wonderful lady with a love of vintage. She has beautiful clothes in her etsy shop that would love to be reinvented in modern ways. It's Capricorn Vintage 😊

You look absolutely fabulous in that gorgeous dress!! Love the little coin purse too! You definitely will be turning heads in that outfit!
The HAIR! Gorgeous (outshines even the dress 💙)
Yes! I just watched your all leather outfit and that was spectacular! And this cobalt blue styled as you have is an absolute contrast and even more spectacularly so!
you are beautiful and cultivated ! The Isadora Duncan joke was spot on ❤
Thank you for the broach idea. I have this dress that I wouldn't let go of because it's too big. I'm going to try this technique.
Try it out! Let me know how you like it xx
FYI:
Isadora Duncan, American choreographer born in California USA died in France "In 1929 the dancer Isadora Duncan died from strangulation and carotid artery insult when her scarf caught in the wheels of a motor vehicle in which she was travelling"(Wikipedia)
Your welcome 😂
she had such a tragic life, three children died, and she lost all of her money and her fame waned
Whiting and Davis? I have a few vintage pieces myself!
further proof that true style never goes out of vogue.
Oooh, wasn't it the dress you bought at the vintage market in one of your shorts with Ivy? 👀
Update please? How did she handle the holes?❤
poor Isadora Duncan, I got the reference but it's too ghastly to type out!
Carla, I lost my husband last weekend. 😢
Tuesday marks seven months for me. You have all my empathy.
