Always makes me laugh when people give you or other tone chasers crap for using post processing when getting a studio tone. Even In Utero has post processing (most clearly heard in the reverb swells on the vocals for All Apologies)
THANK YOU for understanding! There are some that think if you use a magic combination of a specific guitar-pedals-amp-speaker that you will sound identical to a studio album but that's just not how it works. There's a reason why there are zero live performances that has identical guitar tone to the studio versions of any song on Nevermind and In Utero
@@NirvanaGuitars For April 1st it's a Guns N Roses cover please

Thanks as always man. I have a KC jaguar and from your videos you inspired me to get a twin reverb. Keep them coming!
Thank you so much for watching! Happy to hear you also have a Twin Reverb, such a versatile amp and perfect for Nirvana tones 🎸
Saludos...
Love the tone already!
Thank you! I'm proud of this one 😃
Nice! The tone for Mollys Lips was spot on
So well done. You seem like a really good dude. Glad to have your Nirvana content.
Really amazing tone from these sessions, it's a treat to see it deconstructed like this
That was great! I always loved how these songs sounded.
Same! Been trying to get close to these ever since making my K Strat. Thank you!
Thank you for all the information, your videos are always very interesting!
And you delivered!!! Love these videos, Eric. The long track ones are always the best.
Thank you so much my friend! Truly means a lot coming from a fellow tone chaser 🙏 Really hoping to get a Hallmark Gospel one of these days to put that one to the test against my K Strat!
Those Hallmarks really are awesome! Eastwood did reissue their "gospels" last year, however I haven't heard any good word. Completely wrong pickups and wrong tremolo system. Really need me a Hallmark myself
Oh yeah, there IS a Gospel identical to Kurt's on Reverb...
...If you wanna blow 25 grand.
Love Incesticide and that session, you did a great job well done, and I love your videos keep it up😃👍
Your guitar tones are always really good
I've been waiting for this video and it was amazing
@DM._OfficialNirvanaGuitars. I know you're a scammer. Leave me alone
YESSSS NEW UPLOADDDDDDDDD!!❤❤
New upload every Friday 🥳
Wow, this video is amazing, thanks
Thank you so much for watching!
Yes, finally! Nirvana's best tone for me personally. Tnx, bro.
You doing very cool work!!!!
Keep up the good work!
I love that tone so much
Great vid!!😊
awesome ! luv the disto !
I remember reading something in Guitar World magazine, an old interview with Ernie Bailey or someone at the time doing the guitar tech job for Kurt. He said that he assembled Strats for Kurt using spare parts from smashed guitars and WD products (or another company). So it’s not far fetched that the Vandalism Strat was built from parts of the K Strats. Like bridge pickup and neck.
*Stewart McDonald Parts. The Sunburst Reading Strat neck and Body were from them.
I'm so glad you did Turnaround. That was always one of my favorite covers by Nirvana. I feel like that one doesn't get as much love from fans but I always liked what they did with it. I also thought Son of a Gun was a really good cover (all 4 of these were great honestly). So cool to get the 1990 throwback. Thanks for doing this.
ey man! love yo vids bro!
Thank you so much! 😊
Wow! what a video! I never really thought that the K Strat was used a lot for these sessions.
Please do cow palace 😉
A tone video with a bit of tone history? Oh boy!
New upload let’s go
🥳
Just perfect! 🎉
Always a good day when I hear the intro "In this video, I will be recreating"!!
mr beast videos
Love anything involving the UK sliver tour! My favorite Nirvana tour maybe
YES!! The BBC Tone!!
I don't know how I ended up down this youtube rabbit hole, but as a musician who has toured Europe multiple times I can assure you they didn't fly with that giant guitar rig in that stage of their career. That's very expensive. Also, the Mesa Preamp and Crown power amp you say he was using doesn't have switchable power transformers - they're locked on 120v/60hz. UK/Europe power is 230v/50hz. They were 100% using rented backline.

Hey Eric! Huge fan. I've got an idea for like a mini tone spinoff series. For in utero live performances, you say you only do Kurts tone and not Pats. I was thinking itd be a cool spinoff series to recreate Pat Smears live tones
IT SOUNDS AMAZING!!!!!!! ❤❤❤🎉🎉
Thank you!
Btw you should do a Rhino records cover when nirvana was there
You think you could do the BBC session with something in the way? I’ve always loved that tone and feedback control
the K strat is such an epic guitar
💯 so underrated
Adoro muito o seu canal, parabéns pelo trabalho de apresentar os diferentes setup de guitarra, pedais e amps que Kurt Cobain usava. Todos esses setups tem timbres sensacionais, e isso é que mais me fascino do som do Nirvana.
Very yummy tone
🍴
YES THE BBC IS SO UNDERRATED 🎉🎉🎉🎉
again the tone is on point as always, but to me it sounds like the clean part of d-7 was recorded with the middle pickup
05:25 A neck humbucker was used becasue it had shorter mounting legs and would fit the Fender Body easier than a bridge position one.
Che sia facebook, CZcams oppure Instagram resti sempre il migliore
I love the way you ended this. Almost concussion like..lol
I just bought my first twin reverb that has Utah speakers just like Kurt’s quad.
hey!nice recreation.will you recreate smart session tones?
Love the K Strat, i would like to own an inverted black K strat, think it could be cool
Nice. Could you do a tone recreation of the 1/1/91 Music Source session?
I have of the main two songs from that session! I have tone covers for both Even in His Youth and that version of Aneurysm
Did you have to route out the body to get the tilted humbucker in there, im working on my own guitar build and I want to do that but I dont think it will fit. This is one of my favorite nirvana tones and you did it full justice as usual!
Do here she comes now plz😊
I have a hallmark gospel guitar. Absolutely love it. Other than the nirvana connection I got the guitar because I like band sex dream. The singer has a hallmark gospel and I talked to her about it and she’s in love with the guitar. The hallmark gospel I got off of reverb a few months back turns out to be the prototype that Bob Shade built. It’s definitely one of the more unique guitars that I have ever owned.
Could you do a Drain you tone video since you can master almost any tone
The K strat is my favorite nirvanna strar
When you talked about the Vandalism and K strat theory a part of though you would say they were the exact same guitar lol, but then it would be way too much an insane coincidence that Kurt painted and swapped the pickguard in so little time, however that would explain the white pickups and the sticker in the Vandalism strat, as maybe they are just the same pickups in a more "coherent" pickguard and the K sticker maybe left some residue and he putted another sticker to cover it up, that would be punk as hell but very unlikely in such a short period of time
Can you make a video or short covering the correct tunings for the albums?
I think Im gonna get DS1 thanks to you! Or do you think DS2 is better?
You won't regret it! Such a great pedal
white strat eater here, i really want to believe this video was for me and me only, thanks!
Love this session on the bbc also 2 vids in 1 week lucky us! Also do u still own the les Paul from your early vids?
I love these session too, one of Kurt's best tones! No I don't have that Les Paul anymore, sold it a while ago
@@NirvanaGuitars oh that’s sad cause it looked sweet anyways keep up the good work!
Can you do the 91 sessions next?
i love you
I know this isnt about the video but i wish there was more recordings of opinion other than the kaos radio session
@nirvanaguitars . Thanks for your stuff. A little challenge for you, which would also help people like me that don't have Fender guitar and amp combo. How can you get a Nirvana sound with a Gibson and a Marshall??????
I need a Kurt Cobain replica guitar
Oooh I can do this one I have all the gear apart from the amp (but that won’t matter if I’m using the pedal for distortion right)
How do you get these tones? Do you just kind of sit there with his gear and then twist the knobs until it sounds right?
Kurt probably used the 59n because that was the only 59 pickup they had on hand considering that kurt didn't care too much about guitar specs
I think you played turnaround like slightly wrong, the rhythm sounds off compared to the song
It’s possible that all of the songs on Hormoaning were recorded with the same guitar.
you are the best guitarist in the world,Eric you won't never dissapoints 🫡🎸
Crazy idea tho,What if Kurt repainted the K strat,To the vandalism strat,Since he had to remove the K sticker,He put a new one on,With the same pickups,Different pick guard
Do a video on krists bass and pats guitar
What type of amplifier, guitar, guitar pickups, guitar pick, finger size, amplifier cable, and microphone did Kurt cobain use and do to record smells like teen spirit?
If you had to get one Kurt guitar what would you suggest
could you try to replicate the tone of live in buenos Aires in 1992?
What are your top 3 Nirvana guitars you own?
what if he bought the 59 N and 59B as a set and modified both guitars at the same time to have one as a replacement for the other. similar to skystang and orangstang. Maybe he knew both pickups were probably the same based on PAF specs or similar and used it as a way to get both easily
What tuning is sound a dentege in?
What if the vandalism strat is a repaint of k strat and ofc a new pickgard
Wait no you can see under the paint bc the damage...
Doesn't Kurt play D-7 in drop D on the Reading DVD?
No, D-7 is E flat standard at Reading 92
Well, I'll need to watch it again. Not the worst thing to do 😝
Hey 👋
👋
do you know where i could get like a cheapish left handed kurt cobain guitar like a jaguar or something like that
Squiers are really good to mod
What is a kurt cobain?
Tad bit too much presence imo.
