Hey Thierry thanks for your comment! I (MJ) will be there for a week and a half, aside from Paris, I definitely want to visit the rural areas like Dordogne for nice runs, kayaking, and out door hiking. Any other specific recommendations you think?
@@markrichff about ten days... it's short to see Paris, some sites around and spend few days in Dordogne. You'll need to prepare your trip before your departure (find a place to live there). This summer the "guest houses" and Hotels in France are fulfilled by French tourists who want to enjoy holidays. Dordogne is a well known place for tourism. But it is NOT at a 2-3 hours trip from Paris, even in TGV (very fast train), its further more.
The worst thing, is when you live in Paris, you don’t see anything. I saw the Eiffel tour postal card every day during my college, it was my road, but after 3 days, you don’t see anything, never forget to enjoy what you see!
Awesome video guys !! I highly recommand to go to Strasbourg. Besides sharing culture with Germany and France , Strasbourg is the capital with Brussels of the European union and if you want you could visit the European parliment that is in the city And of course if you go there you have to see its splendid cathedral . Fun fact the opening scene of Sherlock Holmes a game of shadow staring Robert Downey Junior was shot in front of the cathedral However even if France seems to be such a lovely country (there is no doubt about it) you must be aware of pickpockets, thieves and troubles maker that hang around tourist place (mostly in Paris) so look at your belongings and don’t carry too much cash on you Hope you’d like your journey to my country though :)
Mont St Michel Bay is so flat that tides are as fast as a galloping horse. Don't be there when the tide strikes... Watch tide hours closely before walking in the bay (there are visits you can book as well)
The castle where you first pause is the "Chateau de Chambord" since you said you wanted to go there. I have some more pictures and tips I can share for that part of the world if you want. I also have a friend who rents room I could hook you up with.

Stop lying to foreigners, little ethnocentric Bretons in cultural appropriation!! you have not integrated anything into Mont-Saint-Michel (which is not called Mont-Saint-Erwan, and which only belonged to you for 1 century out of 2000 years), French and Norman yes (roman & gothic)!!! On the other hand, you set it on fire, and we don't like what we burn. Mont Saint Michel is not on the beach of Saint-Malo [!?], but in the bay of the same name (the bottom of which faces Avranches)!!! And facing this bay, we have the Norman archipelago of Chausey. The (low) Bretons are patches, therefore immigrants, who, the regional identity, as the saying goes, are those who talk about it the most, who do the least.
Took this to google translate as neither of us speaks French. But I 100% agree with you the best way to experience a country is through it smaller towns! I will keep this in mind thank you! Much appreciated!
So , what happened ? did you travel to france ? i hope something bad wasn't happening along the line , hope to see what happening sometime later anyways , cheers frome france .
I live in Nice and the city is great despite all the tourists in summer. The most important part of Nice is the fact that it sits between sea and mountains. Driving 1 hour will bring you to the southern Alps and their beautiful mountains, so you can swim in the sea in the morning and go hiking in the afternoon. Villefranche-sur-mer and Eze are two towns located near Nice and are incredibly beautiful. They are definitely worth checking out and visiting.

Rent a car and get lost during a road trip. It'd be very difficult not to find amazing places to see completely at random. The best and cheapest food I've had was when finding small restaurants out of the big cities that only serve the daily menu or only one meal. Those pictures do not make justice to the places they portray.
Paris is not France. Paris has 2,000,000 inhabitants out of 68,000,000. You have to go everywhere to understand the country. He has a reason with his comparison with New York which is only a very small piece of the USA.
