Is this guy washed? He doesn't even know for sure if it's a SBMM test. What sweat is gonna wanna play Minefield? It's not a highly competitive or popular mode and most of the playerbase probably aren't interested in it as it's whacky and obscure. No wonder Minefield feels easier cuz there's simply not enough sweats that even search for the mode. Lower player pool = more varied skill in lobbies
i am the opposite mostly. i love TDM... now, if its 10 v 10.. i prefer domination or kill confirmed.. on a big map.. makes for a lot of fun..
but 6 v 6.. i love TDM over other modes.. it kind of makes it where either they help or not, but, your own personal game, is more or less on your shoulders.. you can lose, but beat everyone else, and it doesnt feel as much like a loss as in Domination , or kill confirmed, where you have asshats sitting in the back of the map, sniping, but contributing nothing.. just.. sniping.....................
Lol while I wouldn't call the guy washed. That was the first thing that came to my mind, probably not a mode super high skilled players are in to. Likely to find less sweaty players in party-ish modes. Surprised he didn't mention that possiblity. Also, I played a few games, had like an almost 800 spm and 3ish kd, and my lobbies started getting harder. Atleast for a while. Gotta play it again to see if it sticks.

Me 2 man. Use to get 80 kills games on any map pretty consitent, always had 2-3 kd. Had bad games and good. Ever since mw2019 it's been unbearable. 1,d maybe. Always at 200 ping and waiting 10m to find a match

If your stance was "before Ghosts" instead then I'd agree with you. Advanced Warfare is when SBMM started, it just wasn't as crazy yet.
But between Ghosts and MW2019 is when Activision turned COD into an online casino for children. So you're really not going to convice me that was any better.

When mw19 came out one of the devs talked about the system and stated that the system aims to keep you around a 1kd. My overall is 1.2 kd with a .3 win ratio. A friend is a .7kd with a 1.2 win ratio. It's a joke. The better you get the worse your team is and the more you lose. We need a change.
Very true, my kd is 1.4 and my w/l is literally a 0.3. I had a game of shipment i pulled out 160 kills, 40 deaths. My team all had 30 kills or less 70 deaths each the whole enemy team had 70 kills + each. Like damn ik sbmm is tough but come on now atleast give me 1 or 2 teammates semi decent.

I had friends who had kd’s of .5-.7 from Black Ops 3-4 (they were primarily zombie players) and then MW19 hits and they have .9-1.1 K/D ‘s. The whole system is a joke.
I have a .63 win loss ratio and a 1.6 kd all I do is play against Scump Jrs 24/7

Im glad i dont EVER have to deal with SBMM ever again because im done with cod after blops4. Ill only ever buy a new cod IF they remove or tone it down alot and thats never going to happen.

Back in the day, those really close games were really fun because they were pretty rare, and it really got the adrenaline pumping. But now, if you get that game after game, it gets frustrating and exhausting.

Since the last update, something is off. I am being put with teams that are getting crushed. It was so bad at 1 point, that I was getting 1 win for every 10 matches. This was happening over & over. Almost every match i am the only one who is positive. Its crazy. I have never backed out of more games than I have now. And this is out of every COD I have ever played. I cant be the only one this is happening to.
I have no problems at all with the SBMM in multiplayer, the balance is good most of the times. I'm from the Netherlands, I wonder if some country's are more affected by SBMM than others.

Just imagine, they are listening to every word, watching your accuracy, distance traveled, K/D ratio, engagement in game, bundles you buy, and on and on and on. They take all that into account to real time adjust your matches and outcomes. They even predict if you are about to log off and then they throw you a bone. Their eerie eyes and paws are in your space manipulating your entire experience. They are abusive psychotic stalkers. If this were put on any one individual or group, they'd at least be served a restraining order if not a charge. Creeps.

@julienfranco7179 From my understanding it was connection first, and then teams were balanced in said lobbies. The lobbies also didn't disband after each match, so you could quit freely and look for another lobby if you weren't happy. The way it's SUPPOSED to be.

@C_Santiago7 I average a 1.34kd and for the past 20 or so games I've been put into absolute sweafest CDL optic gaming type lobbies and my connection is so shit in those lobbies to point where my kd stsrts to drop bc of it and its unplayable I lag so hard it's unplayable or I just disconnect, I thought my wifi was bad because it happen out of no where even tho it doesn't happen on other games or is it because I'm getting put into shitty COD servers? I went so far as to change my wifi company but its still the same issue with COD

EOMM was so obvious in Cold War, that was when I said I'm done with COD. Not being stressed over gaming is worth quitting the franchise
@@murphyc15 it is engagement optimized matchmaking. not only does it look at skill, it looks at whether you win or lose and puts you in a lobby that keeps you playing (Whether that is a forced loss or a win - whatever it thinks will make you most likely to play the next match)
@TheFriskySquid Ironically that has backfired for many people, especially over the last couple years. They still have good numbers compared to most games, but I think more and more people have quit because we've all gotten tired of it.
Engagement optimised match making doesn't exist if it did I wouldn't get tortured immediatly after not playing for a month last time I played

This game is overall really solid but the main thing holding it back is that the SBMM is super strict and every single match is a sweat fest. The community is mostly to blame for this though. Most of the casuals probably have checked out by now
I get kicked from servers at least once per hour as well
What those knuckleheads at activision should have easily done by now are: Remove disbanding lobbies, tone down parkouring, sliding, bunny hopping, sbmm, eomm but nope, at least their Bundle Store works perfectly fine, I guess ...
@@xemyth1575All they had to do/have to do is go back to the old matchmaking system from the OG games, and have non-disbanding lobbies again. That's literally it. The rest is whatever to me.

Its so ironic that activation claims they condone cheating when they're the worst cheaters of them all. The game is rigged 100% no doubt. They decide who wins who loses. Who gets the kill and who doesn't. It doesn't matter who the more skilled player is. Or who has the better internet connection. Btw lag and packet burst is all part of the algorithm. I'm beginning to believe there is an AI behind the sbmm/eomm algorithm watching and studying our every move (playstyle). My brother and I are really good players, and we almost always end up with 30 kills or higher at the end of each match, and the highest kill our teammates get is no joke, 8 to 10 kills. We struggle to the win every time. It doesn't matter if we streak up and get our advanced uav, emp, and swarm. We have to sweat our nuts off if we really want the win. It's pathetic. Sometimes I just want to chill and not be a try hard, lol but this game forces you to be a sweaty toxic player if you really want the win. Hey activision if you're reading this... F you. We know what youre up to. Everyone knows. We know its not a conspiracy anymore. Its activison putting us against each other. They're playing us.

I used to be a TDM main up to like MW2019. Every game since then TDM has felt horrible to play
Can't wait for XDefiant to show everyone how good it is when your matches aren't predetermined. When you can actually play with your mates without having to worry about their KD, when you can choose off-meta weapons and still have fun, when you can play for hours on end without getting bored! 1 week to go :)
I wonder if rage quitting would stop SBMM. Activism charts how many people leave games when they do experiment SBMM then turn it off on your account or all?
I genuinely feel awful for the kids that never got to play back in the day. New cod is just unplayable.
Hi. I'm one of your female watchers. I'm not a mom though. I've started to notice a pattern. Whenever we have a double XP weekend, it seems they play with the SBMM algorithm. I was playing games all weekend long and I really felt like the SBMM was turned off certain parts of my day those 3 days. I was not playing that special game mode though, I was playing the Small Maps Mosh Pit. But there were games for hours on end where I could demolish people in the lobby non-stop. And I am usually not that lucky. Pay attention, I am telling you. Every time we have double XP weekends, they do this.
The game should NEVER be manipulating anything. EOMM needs to burn. It's not CBMM anymore, but it's also not SBMM, which would balance team's or group people together by level. This garbage we get blatantly stacks lobbies for or against people, ignores connection, is tied to the store, and manipulates a lot of things behind the curtains (damage, spawns, etc).
It’s EOMM now. The game is basically playing you and manipulating when you win, when you lose, how good you will do etc.

Same day, I was playing (minefield on Meat as well) and the server took a sh** and I was able to run around the map with time slowed. I could actually see the projectile models leaving peoples' guns. Self-corrected after a couple minutes but still what the hell
Happened to me on meat moshpit! This game became trash, and cod developers/management is one of the worst one I have seen!
The problem with them testing less strict SBMM is that they do it without telling anybody. Of course player retention is gonna be worse because the noobs who get protected have sweatier lobbies while the good players aren't even playing the game anymore. If they announced it, all the people who left COD would come back to give it a try and there would be a huge surge in player numbers...
SBMM is a solution for future lawsuits on videogame addiction.

There must be a lot less backing out for the higher skilled demographic. If they can measure Delta Ping for different skill brackets, they know the retention rates and churn rates and quit rates for those demographics. In a mode without SBMM/EOMM, there must be more retention for higher skilled players. There must be.

Because of your video days ago about minefield. So I tried it out and sound the no SBMM a breath of fresh air. Felt so good to not feel like a shitter with a ~1KD every match
So glad to see this video. I hopped into Minefield and was playing some sweaty ass games, I was wondering what the hell happened. Yes, minefield with no SBMM was awesome!!!
I played MWZ almost exclusively because of how good it is and how much I dislike SBMM. Then I decided to give Minefield a try because it sounded fun and I wanted to level up some guns. Man it was a night and day difference from the MP matches I’ve played when S3 first dropped. I played for several hours each day this weekend. My KD went from 1.51 to 1.72. Once I noticed sbmm was not in the game mode, I stuck to it and played as much as I could so I could level up my guns quickly then go back to zombie once it went back to normal or until they removed the game mode.

No they didn't re-add sbmm to that mode. But I usually have to search for ever and in the 200ping range. Still the best experience CoD had to offer since the launch of MW19!
I noticed the same exact thing play Free For All. I had a few 7KD games, then I get crushed, then had a balance of in between. It was the most fun i've had playing the game in a LONG time. It did not feel like a pre-determined outcome EVERY match I played. I felt like I could play casual at some times and crush, but then other matches I had to watch my ass a little.

I nearly almost booted up MW3 last night, but couldn't bring myself to do it. Didn't want all that stress.
Two questions: Why when I leave a match, I am placed into that same damn match again. Isn't it obvious I do not want to be in that match?
Why am I placed into a match which is half-finished and losing by a bunch? What would motivate me to stay? I leave that match!

I played today and I noticed both my team and the enemy team had a solid 2-3 competent players that were playing the objective and/or could get kills and the others were bots. I felt like I was back in black ops 2!! It was very different from the usual 6 demons Y Y ing with meta guns and slide cancelling across the map while stun checking everything.
my belief with SBMM is all of the modes have SBMM and you can kind of think of it like a neural network where each game is its own node.
As you play a mode you don't have much time in the game may use bits and pieces of your profile from other modes to try and match you. If you have a good rank in ranked modes over multiple seasons it takes that into account. If you play a lot of small map moshpit and your are pretty good and have quick reflexes it takes a little bit of that. If you play hardcore and you got good game awareness and timing, it takes alittle bit of that. But for the most post when you play a new mode that you don't specifically have a lot of time in the matchmaking kind of starts at 0 and it specifically builds a profile for that mode. Then once it has an idea of your skill and habits in that mode That's when it pulls from the other modes to usually make the SBMM really strong, and that's when you notice you're playing copies of yourself.
What Im wondering: Back in the OG MW and BO1 days, did bad and average players had less fun in the game? I can‘t tell as I had a lot of fun shredding the lobbies, does anyone have experience?
I still play BO3 just to have that pre MW 2019 mindset. SBMM literally ruined my experience. I just hate feeling like I’m being punished for playing good or having fun. One lobby is fun and the other is a COD League tournament match
SBMM doesn't work with low population. No one plays that mode... You got lucky because they could find some sweats for you... The population peaked up for a second...
I had so much fun with minefield doing the penetration kill challenges for lmgs & snipers and the equipment destroyed challenges with the grenade launcher & stormender

Hey Nero, snipers onyk seems to have SBMM turned off. Also, wanna know how strong SBMM? In BO3 I used to be matched with people from my country every 2 or 3 games, and people from my region every game...... I am lucky to see someone from my country once a month now
They’ve been nerfing me mid game I’ll go in literally with 0-20 ping but as soon as i get around 15 kills i start hitting 60 ping & like 6-10 packet loss this company has been doing way to much & idk what it is i learn how to sweat with the lobbies they put me in only to get hit even harder it’s crazy
Are you saying there is a correlation between shitty servers/high ping and SBMM? It’s already criminal of them to not do regular work and maintenance to upgrade servers so that wouldn’t be surprising

Yeah, I’m hoping Xdefiant is good. I expect some problems being their first real fps like this, but hopefully it’s at least playable and they listen to input and improve as they go.

The sbmm has been HORRIBLE this past weekend. I purposely went negative 5 games in a row for experiment and the lobbies got harder and ping went up to 150. I noticed I’m always getting into lobbies where I have to carry the entire team
It‘s unbelieveable to me but yesterday after seeing your video I tried out Minefield and actually had fun again playing Call of Duty 😌. I absolutely dominated in my first game with a 8.0 KD and 32 kills in the End. Next round my team got completely destroyed and the following rounds just felt like playing MW2 back in 09 just pure fun, no super sweats, just enjoying the game and playing chill rounds 😌. I really hope they expand the noSBMM-Modes as I‘m usually a SnD player.
while on the subject of quitting cod bc of SBMM, it gets far worse when you dive into EOMM and how the game tracks your biometric factors like voice and facial features with your webcam to change the outcome of the next game, all the kill chaining off spawn, having enemies be of opposite playstyle to you. this isn't just a matter of a game rigging your gameplay, its a case of a game company downright violating your autonomy and its somehow legal in the us. i hope one day the EU sues them to oblivion.
I really hope with the launch of XDefiant, if it succeeds thanks to no SBMM, COD takes I good hard look and hopefully removes SBMM, or at least make dedicated playlists that don't have it. Competition is good for all of us!

The spawns alone are enough to make somebody lose their mind. They're ridiculous. I hadn't played in awhile and fired it up this weekend. Ah yes, forgot how much I enjoyed spawning in front of an enemy or directly in front of their sentry gun.

These “experiments” should have happened in the game testing and the beta. Not after the game has been released and especially not when we are this far into the life cycle.
Surprisingly the only place I can get Consistent gameplay is in RANKED.... As soon as I try a regular 6v6 its honestly a different game lol easily feels im carrying 9/10 matches and there's guys trying harder than on ranked 😆 Or like am I really just not noticing mfs cheating or som...
No, if your good its one way to balnace you (give you shitty teammates). But that happened since the inception of CoD MP (even without sbmm - but back in the day your shitty mates where chosen from the lobby and not from the entire playerbase... 😂).

I've been going top of the lobby in every game I play and I have lost 8 out of the last 10 matches I've played. It's just unplayable at this point.
Sadly if sbmm were removed from cod its not gonna be removed from the player. The sweat movement has already been implemented that its just 2nd nature for me and im sittin at it.93 k/d and i literally dont care for k/d ratio.
So for game talk on gettin players on exdefiant it really doesn’t matter what Mark Rubin says on sbmm not being in the game; mid-long range focused game, high ttk, booty sliding, situational specialist abilities, various attachments that needlessly affect the player in all areas the player exists. Take your pick and it will be sweaty cause the player is sweaty.

Jumped on to try again yesterday I ended up with my best game of 8-27 why do I go on! Shame because this should have been the best cod ever, in fact I would say it is apart from the ridiculous sbmm.
