    I haven't tuned my 5.0 yet and I've had it for 6 years. I have headers, a Catback but no intake yet. Intending to tune this year. I've always wondering if different tuners can tune a different "sound" of the chop on purpose.
    Ive heard some ghost cams chop randomly, and some chop more like a pendulum like a big cam LS. I like when the chop sounds even so could I request for my tuner to make it chop a certain way since they have such granular control?

    • @mustangdoctor3834
      @mustangdoctor3834  Před 7 měsíci +2

      You want to be above 730 for proper oil pick up but at 900 your prob running into optimal stability distance column caps where it’s going in and out of the overlapped cam table and a non overlapped table. I shoot for 750 or 810 depending on the generation and set up

    • @mustangdoctor3834

      I’m not sure you could tune it for the challenger. You may be able to achieve it through over and under speed idle control, but Dodge wouldn’t have the same VVT logic for the cams.

  • @lieutenantmikeo5979
    @lieutenantmikeo5979 Před rokem +3

    Completely irrelevant, but I wanted to "ghost cam" my 1uz vvt. It's a quad-cam set up and stock cams are aggressive in life and duration. I was told to just change my cam angle

    • @ooooooo6038
      @ooooooo6038 Před rokem +4

      I mean, that’s basically how it works. Say you have a cam with 240 degree duration. If your adjusters adjust up to 40 degrees, then you technically now have a 280 degree cam if you have your adjusters maxed out. That’s how you get the chop
