    The P-07 is one of the best polymer 9mm handguns out there today and will cost you less than $500.00. I have a bunch of 9mm handguns and the P-07 is one of my favorites. Thanks for the video.

    You should have mentioned when going over the changes to the trigger that this pistol has had its gen 2 trigger straightened out even more than stock. Great review as always. A 15# main spring, 17# gr spring and SS GR, and Cajun Gun Works extended firing pin and action kit make the DA pull go down about 2lbs and still retains reliability. Love this pistol.

    • @xithappens
      @xithappens Před 7 lety +3

      Michael De Guzman you planning on carrying it? If not, may I recommend you getting a metallic SP01 75B-Omega instead? Don't get me wrong, the P07 is great and I love owning one, but the metallic 75 has a better grip, better trigger, better recoil, better accuracy than the P07 and is close to undestructible. I carry the P07, but at night I put it away and bed-side duty is overturned to my full-steel SP01 Shadow. Plastic is always gonna be a compromise for me.

    CZ's are the shit, they have to be one of, if not the best makes out there for the money. I have the P07 Duty model in 9mm and it is my pride and joy and I've owned lots of other guns for comparison. You can find these for about $425 in my state, for this price you absolutely cannot go wrong with the quality you will get from a CZ.

    I have quite a few CZ's and have for along time. I am glad a lot of people dont know about it as it keeps the price low, and I like the fact it not as common as Glocks, Sigs or S&W etc. I would say it is more superior than any pistol out there. I also love the Tangfolio's as they are as good as CZ'S. Love my old P89 and P90 Rugers as well. lol

    Did a lot of research on the Gen2 and it looked like a decent piece of equipment , so I purchased one 4 years ago and only then realized how wrong I was, this is not decent....its FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!. Use it as a daily carry, and go to the range as often as I can, best handgun I have ever carried/ used. low recoil, easy and accurate re-targeting under rapid fire, have not had a jam yet and still look forward to shooting with it. Thanks CZ well designed weapon.

    Another excellent review from sootch00. About 4 months ago, I bought my CZ P-07 from Inpactguns.com for $440 and $10 shipping. This new CZ P-07 is definitely an upgrade from the Duty model. CZ has perfected this pistol and made all of the improvements that the Duty does not have. Most importantly, CZ has fixed the frame bulging issue that the Duty suffers from by making a stronger polymer frame on the new CZ P07. Did I mention the de-cocker. Love it. I carry de-cocked and locked. This new for 2014 CZ pistol is a work of art in my hand.

  • @lickdacat2
    @lickdacat2 Před 9 lety +8

    I have the CZ-P09. For me its a bit large for concealed carry but it is the ultimate if you want accuracy and reliability. I sold off my Glocks long ago, there are so many other pistols for much less money that I believe are equal to or better than Glocks, such as the CZ or Taurus pistols.
    I bought a Taurus PT111 G3 a few months ago simply because it was such a bargain and had great reviews. I never intended the PT111 to become my favorite carry pistol, but it is now. It is 100% reliable, accurate and very compact. After my standard trigger job, single action is 3.75 lb, double action 4.5 lb. I bought two RWB Beretta FS92 35rd mags that fit the PT111 perfectly after cutting a small slot for the mag lock.
    The PT111 with two 35rd and two 12rd mags, total cost was $280 including $20 transfer fee. I could buy two PT111's for the price of one Glock 26. I really get tired of hearing about Glocks when other pistols are reviewed. Glocks are no longer special, they are simply overpriced basic firearms. You can always find better pistols for much less if you do a little research and watch for sales. That extra savings can go into ammo or reloading supplies because soon ammo will become impossible to find.

    • @predator597
      @predator597 Před 9 lety

      Richard Einstein YOU ARE MAKING UP A PRETTY BIG CLAIM AGAINST GLOCKS. I CALL BS, AND I DOUBT YOU EVER EVEN OWNED ONE. ALSO, GLOCKS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SPECIAL AND THEY HAVE HISTORICAL EXCEEDED THE BENCHMARK AND HAVE NOW SET THE BENCHMARK. ALSO YOU TALK ABOUT $, WHAT IS $ WHEN YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR LIFE PULL THE TIGGER AND NOTHING HAPPENS. YOU CAN'T TALK $ WHEN IT COMES TO GUNS.

    • @lickdacat2
      @lickdacat2 Před 9 lety +1

      PunisherUltra1 I never had a problem when I pull the trigger. I clean my guns every time I use them so maybe thats why I never have problems... Some people never clean their guns.. probably because they are too stupid to put them back together. There are a lot of brain damaged morons out there that are lucky they can wipe their asses....

    • @lickdacat2
      @lickdacat2 Před 9 lety +1

      Richard Einstein And when it comes to $, it makes a big difference.. I like to have a lot of guns around and massive stocks of ammo... I guess if you have unlimited funds you can waste $ on glocks. I am not independently wealthy so I look for the best products at the best prices...
      Every firearm I own is 100% reliable and in 100% condition. That may have a lot to do with my ability to repair anything, make alterations to improve function and being a perfectionist. I take care of my things no matter what it is. I reload ammo which gives me the ability to continue producing ammo long after the criminal government bans the sale of ammo.
      I suspect most glock owners keep a few boxes of ammo around. I have crates of ammo for each guns with some having many crates. I will never run out... You can use your glock to pistol whip the foreign troops.

    • @556Justice
      @556Justice Před 9 lety +2

      PunisherUltra1 A few comments ago, you were just telling Richard that he's making pretty big claims, in relation to his choice of firearms and his personal opinions. Now, you're calling him a terrorist! You seem to be the one making pretty big claims...on someone you don't even know! I don't know Richard from you, but I call BS when I see it and when it's warranted. Also, what's with all the caps? On the internet, all caps means you're yelling. If you reply to my comment, don't bother using all caps, or just don't bother commenting. As soon as I see all caps, I'm just blocking you, I won't even bother reading your reply, because I don't bother with people who can't carry on a civilized conversation....it's not worth my time and I have other things in my life, besides this.

    The cure for the sharp slide release problem on CZ P-07 and CZ P-09 is to round all the edges of the front part of the slide release using a Dremel tool and then apply Birchwood Casey Presto Gun Super Black Touch - up Pen and you will find it much more comfortable with Thumbs forward grip.

    Anyone considering one of these read this.
    Since this video the p07 has had a couple changes; theres now a small loaded chamber indicator on the extractor, the lanyard loop is gone for real now and they ship with new mags which have orange followers and a cut out so they can be used in a cz p10c as well (and vise versa). All good changes in my opinion and i love this gun so far.
    Edit: i also think the single action trigger pull has been lightened stock. Id say it feels more like 3.5 lbs sa and still a perfectly heavy da. This could also just be my pistol in particular.

    My first CZ! & won't be my last. Thank you Sootch00 for showing me the CZ line of handguns, always heard of them and finally got the P0-7 gen 2 the other day. Put 200 rounds thru it and love the feel of it, Coming from a former Glock owner the CZ just fits my hand so well, as im sure it fits many peoples hand. Highly recommend if you have 450-480 to spend on a handgun

    Great review, I absolutely love my P07. Should you want to get rid of the lanyard loop, call CZ and they will send you the flat grip plug. On a separate note, I would love to see a comparison between the P07 and the Sig P320 compact. These two guns are very similar with the exception of one being striker fired.

    I will be getting the CZ P-07 URBAN GREY suppressor ready, ordered it today. I have a '91 CZ-75, '86 CZ-82, and a '15 CZ-75B OMEGA. This video, previous CZ experience, and having one of these Gen. 2s in my hand have influenced my decision. Thank you, Mr. Sootch, for the great review. And yes, I will be suppressing the pistol, thinking about a Ti-Rant.

    Man,
    I want the P-07 and P-09. It's not a matter of if, but when! I'm a M&P, Glock, and striker-fired mostly kind of guy. But,
    I can't get my mind off of wanting these two for some crazy reason. Great review! I think they are definitely winners. Love the low bore axis a lot. Now I gotta go shot them and then buy them. I've never really warmed up to the Springfield XDM because of the higher bore axis even though I know a lot of folks who love the Springfield XDM and swear by them. Guess I should shoot one of those some more before I completely throw in the towel on them. They are expensive though. These polymer CZ's (Gen 2's) are super nice looking and from the video seem to be really soft shooters. I greatly appreciate your time, effort, and hard work, to bring these videos out for us folks to see.

  • @SoCPlasma
    @SoCPlasma Před 9 lety

    I own one. I love it but a word to the wise. If you hand load 9mm ammo for plinking and you make a light load(I do this to save cost on powder) the gun can have issues short cycling. I think this may be due to the combination of the heavy recoil spring and slide weight. With factory and Self defense ammo though the gun works fine as long as it is not limp wristed(a newbie I took out shooting had some issues with cycling but that didn't happen too much once I corrected their grip.)
    But all in all its a great gun to shoot and I love mine!

    Excellent video! Like the history of importing the CZ too. A few months ago I rented one at a gun range and it was fun to shoot. I really like the feel of the trigger and as you said it shoots dead on. Thanks for showing the break down. This CZ is very high on my next gun purchase list. Sure do like you keeping the bloopers in at the end of the videos. Keep up the great reviews.

    We need to think of a good prepper use for all the gun locks we have. I know you have to have a ton, I probably have 20+. Rather than sitting in a drawer there has to be some good use we can put them to for securing something else than our firearms???

    @joshvandoornik7411 Před 9 lety +1

    This gun was on my list of prospective first guns for a while, but I rented one at my local range and I was rather disappointed. I was having about 2 failures for the slide to return to battery per 10 rounds, however this was with a range rental so that particular gun probably wasn't very well maintained. Another problem with the gun was that the slide stop, while reasonably easy to reach (I have small hands), was incredibly stiff to the point where i couldn't actuate it with my strong hand thumb. These two things combined make the pistol not one for me. Just my experience with the gun.
