    One thing I don't like about our MPs is they say they always have proof of something. But they never show any of this proof. They just say they have proof.

    The ULEZ scrapped polluting cars have been sent to Ukraine to contribute to the mass polluted air in that country? So the question remains answered that it appears to be okay to pollute the atmosphere so long as it gets paid for by us plebs. If it was that dangerous, then why didn't they just ban the offending vehicles?

      There’s a good chance some of the vehicles will be targeted and start giving off emissions way above the manufacturer’s design criteria.

    I upped and left 11 years ago. London gal born and bred. I now live up in the hills in rural southern Spain. None of this nonsense here. Can live in peace, work remotely by my pool and can drive my car without being conned by some jumped up councillor.

      @stevetarrant3362 Thanks lovely, I just grafted my backside off to make it happen. 🙂 No one has had a pop either, which makes a change. I've not long found Andy out, so maybe he has a level headed and mature bunch that have subscribed to him. Hope you are keeping well. 🙂

    Mayor Khan keeps talking about Londoners but he forgets it's our Capital City and not just the people who live there.

    I was born in this city and voted to stop Kahn, but according to the democratic votes of my ‘fellow’ Londoners, I am in the minority and wrong. The turnout and voting clearly shows this.😢

  • @user-lt9py2pu6u
    @user-lt9py2pu6u Před 13 dny +4

    Wasn't there an election a couple of weeks ago? If the majority of Londoners couldn't be bothered to vote, they obviously aren't that bothered by Kahns policies. Unlike the EU remainers I actually accept the result of a democratically held vote, and as much as I can't stand Kahn, he did win not least because not enough people thought he was bad enough to vote against him. Rich Londoners probably couldn't care less as they can afford the charge and many of the original working class Londoners have probably already left. I suspect that many of the immigrants that have replaced them probably don't even drive. I don't agree with the ULEZ charge, but I can see it being extended to most major towns and cities as will be the Welsh blanket 20mph limit when Labour get in. I shall of course be voting for parties that oppose these measures, but I expect I will be in the minority. Once those measures are implemented everyone will start moaning of course.

    • @redflag4781
      @redflag4781 Před 12 dny

    A big turnout would have made no difference anyway, as Little Sad-Dick Khan is the chair of C40 Cities. How would that look if he had been deposed?

    Maybe they should just ban traffic along the roads where these bat boxes are so as not to disturb them. The mayoral election was a referendum on ULEZ so why not just respect the will of the people?

    I live in a town that have had ULEZ zones for over 2 decades now.
    We can debate on how to implement them. But for the air quality for those that lives there they are a great improvement.
    Friends that lives i those areas cod tell strait away the air got better just from sutch a thing as how often they needed to clean their windows.
    AND after the ulez dust/complaints had settled they saw an increase in property value.

      @@westcoast747 My town you never heard of, i am from Sweden.
      But yes traffic has reduced significantly in those zones. People just need to learn.
      For instance you dont need to take the car instead of a 5min walk for a loaf of bread.
      It is all in adapting and not stick to things just becasue "that's how it always been"
      But biggest benefits for those that lives in those zones are much better living environment
