My boy literally made people a chart. 387 views and only 100 likes? Are you guys crazy????? He. Made. A. Chart. Give the man a like. Seriously.
i appreciate you ♥🙇♂🙏
Lol
There's showing a solution and THEN there's making you understand the problem so you know how/why you can solve it.
"a little bit about the Nintendo version because it will help you understand the Xbox version"
In this age of speedy quick bits, only people who care about you, will teach in this manner.
💜As always, thank you. You truly are a rare gem.💜
thank you for the understanding i appreciate you, Thank you ♥🙏
This man had a wiring chart and used among us as an amazing sample of how to wire it, GET HIM TO 1 MIL SUBS NOW
My god, this dude is bloody awesome! I’m in my early 40s and only now starting to make and mod my first stick and without this dudes help(in video form) I’d of been totally lost! Great content!
appreciate you 🙏♥ happy to help
"Have you guys ever played the wiring game in Among US? It's like the same thing."
My man nailing the real examples! ❤
hehe Thank you ♥🙏 i was so addicted to among us for a few days
super clear video and extremely thorough great production quality
Exactly what I was looking for and an amazingly clear tutorial. Appreciate you time and effort... thank you! 😊
Best How to Video I've ever seen man, I'm subscribing and liking.
Well done, Sir. Integrity, intelligence, and ability to relay somewhat mystifying information to the masses for general consumption. Subbed.
What a guy, best stick videos on yt!
appreciate you 🙏♥
Wow, amazing content. Thank you so much for such comprehensive work. Subscribed.
What an awesome video and channel! I have this arcade stick, and i changed the buttons to sanwa obsf, put a battop and a 2lbf spring on it. I love it already, and now with your method i can put a sanwa jlf i have here. Thanks a lot and congrats on the amazing content you make!
appreciate you 🙏♥happy to help
Just bought the nintendo version and was plqnning to replace the stick. Thanksfor the vids!
Another great video. I watched bc they are so entertaining even tho I don't need it since I already moded my stick (Nintento version). Keep it up my man.
appreciate you 🙏♥ thank you for watching
This is much more neat than what I did. I crimped connectors onto the wires that came with my sanwa stick and used the same method as you after.
That works too 👍 i dont have a crimp too
Outstanding! Thank you for sharing. Now I'm inspired to add the xbox version to my collection. BTW ... Because your vids are informative and engaging, I don't for one moment thought that it was excessive.
appreciate you 🙏♥ I think the world has shifted to short form content, sometimes I wonder if my video are too long
Great breakdown 👌 👏 🙏 always enjoying listening to you and the hand gestures are a nice touch aswell 👍
appreciate you 🙏♥ I have a lot to learn, I want to improve my communication skills
Love these videos! They're super helpful especially to people just getting into fighting games. Seriously thank you for all your work.

Was really considering this stick but I could not find any tutorials. thanks broski
Always happy to help ❤️🙏
Wow, this is an interesting way to convert the connectors. I just went to the soldering solution since I have the tools, but this is a nice alternative!
thank you for watching
You are my Hero! 🙏
incredible tutorial, thank you so much.
thank you my friend
Such a great public service you made! Even though I don't have an arcade stick, seeing you engineering and moving cables around was nice.
I've just started to wonder why 8BitDo engineers decided to complicate things?
This is an amazing video! thanks for sharing!
thank you so much
Happy that I did it easily on the Nintendo version. This is nonsense from 8bitdo to make it so difficult to mod. I don’t understand their move. Thanks for helping people on that version. You are the best ❤
yea, this stick is not that easy to mod lol, at least for the xbox one
Thank you, well done.
thank you
Awesome video, I love all of your content. Please keep it up!
appreciate you 🙏♥ I will thank you
@JoystickNY personally I'd love to hear your thoughts on the victrix fightsticks
I've had this stick for 8 months now, i just soldered my new lever (Seimitsu LS-56) into place.. was dead easy!
Excellent, i solder it on my nintendo version
I quickly click your video.
and its GENIUS.thats it.hands down on you bro.incredible explanation from details to details.you really spend so much time not just preparing and editing this video but also solving how to mod this 8bitdo xbox arcade stick so that we(viewers)just only copy what did you show for us.this video is worth of standing ovation for me.👏
Thank you ♥🙏 hopefully the video can help more players down the road
@@JoystickNY and that incudes me,i mean in the aspect of buying arcade stick.i made a good decision in buying 8bitdo arcade stick(nintendo version).many reviews that say buy other arcade stick than this stick.but because your guide,i made a good decision in buying it.i thought this stick is a pain in resting the wrist as what other reviews says, but i was wrong.only to find out that this 8bitdo arcade stick is perfect only for those who has small to average hand size.just like me.i also saw other user who has the best arcade stick like hori alpha that only end up selling it because of many reason like they dont comfortable with it,they only find out they prefer pad over stick, they rarely use it etc.and because of it,i love my arcade stick even more that i only spend it in a cheap price.its only one upgrade to all sanwa away and i will satisfied.addition to that is the multiple variety of connection from bluetooth to 2.4 connection to wired.thank you for the guide.
Appreciate the diagrams for the wires. I’m sure I’ll need to do this at some point for a friend’s stick. 😅
no rush my friend. Thank you ♥🙏
dude! you are GOD! 🙌🙌 thanks so much! 🙏🙏🙏
appreciate you 🙏♥
the methods in this video can also apply to the mayflash f101 for the batches that don't have the 5 pin which is really cool.
thank you for the info ,appreciate you 🙏♥
8bitdo dropped the ball on this stick.
I agree lol, it was unnecessary for this one
Did method one to put a Korean lever in the Xbox 8bitdo version. It was a pain trying to figure it out by myself not a lot of information out there modding this stick. Great video this will help a lot of people.
were u able to install a K lever on the 8bitdo?
@@JoystickNY Yes this one will fit crown cwl 309mj-kms-st35 works amazing and it fits.
If you don’t mind me asking how were you able to do it, I just ordered my k lever not to long ago but I still can’t figure it out.
@@alej4ndrroo621use method one for the wiring and he has another video on here on how to install a Korean lever. You need to get a .187 to 5 pin conversion harnesses.
Thankyou so much for this in depth tutorial. By chance have you attempt to put a crown 309 or any korean lever?
I don think it will fit, double check my nintendo version just incase 🙏
You’re such a great presenter and I really hope you can grow bigger
appreciate you, Thank you ♥🙏
Wow that's brilliant!
Thank you ♥🙏
Please bring the budget Bsp y02 controller to your channel for modding it! Thanks for this video!
Love this channel.
appreciate you 🙏♥
Thank you 😊
appreciate you 🙏♥
really nice video bro, is there a chance of puttin an odin v5 to the stock lever without changing it ?
What are the solder pads to the right of that 8 pin terminal for?
for anyone trying to use a qanba Gravity Mechanical Shafts Arcade Joystick Silent Lever with the xbox version of the 8bitdo its good to go. I did method 1 and so far everything works accordingly. im just annoyed at the screws to close eveything back up, theyre stripped and i barely even tighten them.
Hey bud, it's been a long time since our last chat hasn't it? I'm still rocking two Mayflash F500 sticks that I've modded with a both Sanwa and Seimitsu sticks and buttons, all info I got thanks to your older videos. Of course, that was a long time ago lol. Technically I can use either of those sticks on an Xbox by just plugging in a Magic Boots adapter, but seeing a dedicated stick for the Xbox as well as practical ways to swap parts for it is still nice. Might think about getting one to be honest, 8bitdo has been making some good arcade sticks recently. Either way, it is good to see you're still doing well and trying to make content. :)
thank you my friend, really appreciate you, I think the two f500 are prob going to hold it down for a long time, if you don't need to, maybe see what else comes out for the future, unless you want wireless, it does come in handy sometimes without the wires
I've read that the pcb in the mayflash adds more input lag than other sticks, same with the 8bitdo arcade stick for switch. But the older 8bitdo N30 doesn't. I haven't seen any testing done on this particular one though.
@@liamconverse8950 It originally did, but Mayflash has had several updates to reduce the lag to near zero. You can see it on their updates page for their products. Even so, a stock unit doesn't really have much lag to begin with. People just point it out stuff like that a lot because they think it's a huge enough deal without doing any research or just want to blame something other than themselves for sucking lol. You can even see JoystickNY himself using a Mayflash stick in one of his older videos and he plays just fine with it.
@@SkyScourgeGod Yeah I don't think it's very easy to tell, but if you combine that with potential display lag in any lag inherit to the game itself it can definitely add up to make a difference. I was just looking at this docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KlRObr3Be4zLch7Zyqg6qCJzGuhyGmXaOIUrpfncXIM/edit?usp=drivesdk which has a lot of data on this and expresses the lag in terms of the percentage chance of the input registering on the same frame as the button was pressed which is interesting. Say for example you're trying to practice parrying Chun-Li's super in 3rd strike, then I would say this sort of thing actually does matter
Question! Is there any difference in overall build quality between the Xbox and Nintendo versions? Or are they essentially the same (minus the cable thing for the joystick and the charging port)?
Thank you for always making these guides, you’re awesome!
Over all exactly the same build quality
Can I use skrew-on buttons on the Xbox version this time? It's not possible on Switch version since the space under buttons is tight, only clip-on could fit.
This is a great video. I just don't know why they all don't use the standard JLF format.
my guess it saving cost some how, ♥🙏
Hi, I bought a 8bitdo stick for the switch based on your review and Iam pretty happy with it. I would like to upgrade. Do you still recommend the same upgrades or are there newer options that are better? Also your affiliate links don't work for me, maybe because I'm in the UK? but might be a good idea for you to check them, if I can send some cash your way then all the better.
Hi! Have you tried bigger stick brands on this? I want to buy it and try diffent sticks. I have a Sanwa already but thinking about a Crown or a Seimitsu for Tekken 8. Thank you for your work!
check out my Nintendo review, I think I did a test on those ,appreciate you 🙏♥
@@JoystickNY quick question. Is a korean lever possible here? bought a knee neo to try in my stick. I still want to buy an 8bitdo though.
do you think we could add a led strip to this so that we could have some transparent buttons glow?
wow, i was searching exactly for the same question. do you have news or have you tried it yet? i would love to have led buttons
Really good video!
Thank you ♥🙏
Bought two of the Xbox version and couldn't mod it due to the levers bracket screws being impossible to remove. Really wanted to too.
8bitdo can fix their biggest issue with $0.10 pre-soldered 5pin connector on right spot.
Clicked so quickly awsome video regardless :)
Thank you ♥🙏
Damn, i think i will onlynchange the Buttons to sanwa silent and the balltop 🤓
Is there a reason why the 8 pin has multiple ground points ?
some lever still have 4 ground pin, but a lot lever have adapted using the 5 pin with 1 ground
Can I find this cable on Aliexpress to use the Sanwa stick?
U can buy it from amazon, i think is 3 for 5 bucks
@@JoystickNY a chinese store made a cable for me for free, i request when i buy my sanwa jlx
8bitdo can use golden lever?
Can you simply change the 4way plate to 8way?
yes, you can change the restrictor gate
Nice!
Thank you ♥🙏
Bob ross of arcade gaming
appreciate you
let hope xbox change 5 pin to pin in the future
Do you prefer this stick or the Hori Alpha?
anyway, alpha and 8bit in stock are a bad choice
@@astarxt why? What would you choose stock instead?
@@pmgf911 Ignore him. Stock Hayabusa sticks are perfectly fine. Especially if it's your first Arcade Stick. If you want some more tension you can always add a tighter spring down the line or switch to an entirely different brand.
@@pmgf911 I use an alpha with an octagon, a 4 lb spring and also threw out that ridiculous ball and replaced it with a bat. thus the Hayabusa stick has become much better. If you want to save money, then just replace the 8bit joystick with sanwa jlf 8yt since it’s the same as in Alpha, fortunately now there is this video on how to handle the installation
If you want ps5 compatibility
You shouldn't buy ps5 stciks since they are expensive and just the same quality as the ps4 version
Just buy any official ps4 arcade stciks like in Hori,Razer,Qanba and Victrix
They'll be compatible to ps5 via legacy controllers
And popular fighting game titles have that feature.
A used hori rap4 is about 50 bucks so you get your money's worth
If you wanna invest more
150 dollars can get you second hand premium sticks
But overall the hori stixk alpha is good plus tye price is reasonable
But if you want swicth and xbox compatibility
Just buy the 8bitdo
Let's go!
Thank you ♥🙏
🐐!!
appreciate you Thank you ♥🙏
I did this method but my Korean lever did not work with it. Would the Korean lever worknat all or have i wasted my money
Send me a picture on instagram, let me see how u wired it
@@JoystickNY I played with the default for a bit, I can feel a delay in inputs compared to the mayflash f300. I'm looking for a stick that has a headphone socket in there for xbox, do you have any recommendations? My budget is £150-200 I have the mayflash f500 but broke the USB port, is there a way I can replace that port instead?
Wheres the battery?
Wish there was a second stick
Wish they make a ps5 version
good video!
Thank you ♥🙏
YO!
my man DQ, no more over cooked and destiny
@@JoystickNY 😂 this was a good and very detailed video bro!
As much as I love basically EVERY 8bitdo product I have so far, I would totally avoid this arcade stick simply because; WHY would they go so against the grain of what virtually EVERY arcade stick knows to be what the community looks for???
The table issue was def a miss, idk why they did that
