Ha good ol’ savior, takes me back to the days when this was released. Glad to see my favorite band, Rise Against is still goin’ at it!

Man it's strange now to think that I remember when Appeal to Reason came out when I was in high school and the songs from there are still fucking blowing my sock off
This song takes me back, remember listening to it a lot in high school when I was going through relationship problems. Can't believe it's been 12 years since then. Still a banger of a song!
Would love to hear "Survive" again. That song helped me a lot when I was younger, and I know that the Nowhere Session would do it justice.
He's holding back which is good for his voice longevity. Still sounds amazing.

I heard this song for the first time in a tent in Kuwait waiting to go home from a 15 month deployment in iraq. We didn’t have much internet access in iq back in those days so I had to catch up when I found some internets. Downloaded the album on my phone as soon as I landed stateside.
Watching Tim shred the classic SG guitar reminds me of old Rise Against.

I'll always remember hearing Savior on the radio and then some songs from Sufferer and I picked up this album first because I recognized Savior on it and it was the first album I've ever heard where I liked every single song on the album to the point where they were unskippable. diehard RA fan until I die. I love Rise Against, but damn it all if I can't help but notice Tim's losing his ability to yell and still sound harmonic with the music playing behind him. Shit man... 4 more years and it'll be 20 years since I first started listening to these guys. How the hell did time go by so quickly?
He sounds incredible, Just not using as much grit like you said. Thats just a singing style its not actual singing. I like the cleaner versions of his screams idk why. Just think he sounds great.

Real punk rock kids listen up
This is apparently one of the most popular RA songs if not the most popular one but ironically Tim wanted to leave it out of appeal to reason because it wasn't good enough. I'm inclined to agree with his assessment because although I like all RA tracks, this is possibly my least favourite one. One of the main reasons I listen to RA is because their music usually carries an important message instead of some woefully overdone lamenting about relationship drama.
I think it is important to have more than just heavy message songs. Especially for the growth of a fan. I could see how a song about gentrification or something could term some people off if its the only thing they hear because they might not be use to heavy messages.
A love song could get people use to Rise Against and potentially getting them into it.
By the way, if none of this makes sense, I have been up 25 hours I think, so take it as you will
This song is also about republicans not caring about animals that are going extinct.
