Do I still dress like a kindergarten? Yep. Have I been mountain biking for 3 years? Absolutely.
Lol same
Me too. I wear whatever I want! Lol! 3yrs in as well. 💪🏾
true that. jeans it is, no gloves i am going raw.
Been mtbiking for 20 years, I still don't have Knee pad or long gloves. Am I doing it wrong. I've only broke one collar bone and about 50 million scun knees.
She'll be right mate.
@@BIKINGWITHBOBOyou need to keep in the farts , those edits are hilarious 😂😂
Thank you Bobo, every time I start watching too many too serious videos, you come along and put my mindset on the right track. Everyone needs to chill out from time to time. 😅
Hell yeah 🤘
I was a casual cross country mountain biker, did the occasional single track, I do live in a MTB Mecca… demoed and rode my first full suspension this year, bought one 6 weeks ago and ride nearly everyday. Everytime I am going downhill and use less brakes, lean into turns harder, charge rock gardens faster, feel the bike feeling lighter while linking turns… I think of this video, darn! :)
Man... It's freakin' 115 degrees here in the summer! I really love my fingerless gloves! Now my fingers are going to sweat too... But the real reason I wear them, and you should definitely understand this BoBo, is because it's nearly impossible to work 2 action cameras, a cellphone for navigation and camera, a watch for turning action camera on and off and changing songs, as well as the volume control on my wireless headset, when wearing gloves with fingers... So I have a good excuse.
Oh true that! I know that struggle well 😂
Naaa no excuse at all🤣
I feel attacked. I both have a plate in my shoulder (why were toe straps legal, and why did i use them!?) and wear fingerless gloves. Lol.
this is awesome !! I have a fresh pair of Race Face full leg/knee armor pads but have never used them.
That's pretty much what we all did so I say let them be. It's like a right of passage. And, the Burning Man/Squarespace skit was well done as well. It's like getting two for one!
man you hit the nail on the on the had! From the shorts and sneakers, gloves to shoulder blade....
you know its a good day when bobo posts a skit
🤘
It's two skits really. One for MTB and one for Squarespace, and both were good.
I don't know buddy, with the right amount of stickers, anyone can turn into a pro in no-time
Lol true
this might be one of my top ten best BOBO vids of all time
😁
This video is so accurate! I guess everything takes time 😂 🚲🚲🚲
always very fun thanks for sharing this with us.
Phook yes. A Bobo video. 1st??? Another thing to consider is health insurance. A good policy that is
Lol probably a good idea
I can relate to this 😆 fingerless gloves, road helmet, cargo shorts and t shirt, no pads, but then again I ain’t jumping nor blazing on a downhill….just some trail riding
and the CRX with a velocirax... goals
Lol 🤘
“Downhill is more exhausting”! And the Civic Priorities Set up worth 5k! Awesome!!!😂😂
This was waaay too relatable 😅 Yes I got the pads, but now that I am getting up to speed the full face would be a good idea.
Loved the integration of the raunchy clips while relating to current events and the topic of the video and sponsor… very 👍 done
Yeah, burning man got soaked...😄
Ah this is epic 😂😂😂
Currently recovering from a broken wrist (not from MB 😅) so not been able to ride for a while and so, I’m living my MB life through this channel at the min! 😂😂 Please keep them coming as so accurate..I 100% was that noob!
Bummer dude! Don’t worry, I got you 🤘
Holy crap! You literally just narrated my life!
😂😂. Funny because it goes so good for a friend that just got his firs MTB crash 😅🔥🤙🏾
It's a CRX, not a Civic. ❤
I love troy lee designs i have a full face helmet from them
Can confirm, about 2 months after getting my real full sus, I woke up in the hospital with a severe concussion... Apparently I was constantly asking my wife if my bike was okay 😂. If that's not the most mountain biker thing, idk what is.. 🤷♂
😂 priceless, still laughing!!
Funny AF. Thank you!
Just keep getting better Bobo!!😂
Great video🎉
I'm so old Bobo that I don't even remember any of this, but it does seem vaguely familiar.
Lol, Ricky’s back at it!
Well shit Bobo, I crashed last weekend and about broke my hip.... seriously!! Old Age causes that!! 👌🏼@@BIKINGWITHBOBO
@@RickyDownhillRDH dayum dude, that sucks
DUDE, I 'm in it for the climb,......Earn it. age 23.5 for the third time.Dress don't mean shit. Last sumer I was yelling at buddy in front to get out of the saddle on the table tops, almost rode over him as he pict himself up, doesn't remember the landing. Full finger gloves, don't need them until you do. Have a 1/4 scab. with and with out on the tree would have taken a lot more, This is from retired heavy construction worker. Last. Picked up a rodie on very first MTN bike ride. Hey sailor we will show you a good time. 45 mins later at average 6
miles/hr. wow this is intense. speed up/ slow down every root and rock has a minor adjustment. that becomes muscle memory. And then there is the intense down hill...... another creature.
You're making me question the same fingerless gloves I picked up from walmart when i first started riding in 2020 that i keep in my trunk to avoid the smell.
Bobo, I love to call that the Bentonville special, entry level hardtail, full face, fully exposed knees. Ready for all the action! Hey go to Burning Man if you haven't though, you'd love it.
I totally didn’t start out on a hybrid mtb (gravel and mtb) while wearing a balaclava and ski goggles. I would never…
😂
LOL!!! WindRock was my first Bike Park last summer. I was like how am I going to get down from here? LOL!!!
Lol, went to Windrock first?!? Oh wow 😂
@@BIKINGWITHBOBO LOL!!! Some friends I have, they talked me into it. Well, it did make one hell of a video.
Personally, every crash Ive ever had, knee pads would be the last item i need. A chest protector/pad, and shoulder/elbow pads have always been more useful. Hell, even a sturdy longsleeve shirt is more useful than knee pads for the forearm protection. Lets be honest, most people crash going OTB, or a combo of falling sideways and otb, your knees are the last part to need protection in those cases. Id even wear hip pads before knee pads. I think most people wear them to complete the "look" and never really need them.
Oh man, you wouldn’t believe the knee injuries I’ve seen out on the trail 🤢🤮
@@BIKINGWITHBOBO man Ive taken way more bars and stems to the chest and ribs than anything else. Second would be hand and arm injuries.
@@ttengineer404 I once saw a dudes knee cap completely to the bone when he crashed in a rock garden. I vowed to wear knee pads ever since lol
jep, exactly what i was thinking. Knees are the last on the fuckeduplist, till now...
Scored some high performance titanium in my arm Wednesday. My last jump was a lawn dart to flat from 10’ up & and 15’ out. Thanks for helping me laugh about it mr bobo🤙🏼
Except doesn't it eventually go full circle to where the true hardcore shredders don't care what they wear anymore because they will blow you away with their steaze?
That sounds about right lol
I blame laziness…I have all the gear but will pull on some Nike workout gear, when can’t be bothered & just want to get out there! 😂
You made me burst in laughter at work lol
HAHAHAHA! SO GOOD! And then you add on the naked pile for a cherry on top!
Haha very nice and funny video .
Bro…spot on. Spot on.
This was funny
In it for the downs is totally me. Climbed my local trails for a bit and decided I want to be a park rat. Best decision ever haha
haha ! soo good !!! it is a crx by the way 😀
Hmmmm. Pretty accurate, Bobo.
Based on true events lol
Nice vid Bobo. I should have heeded this warning more seriously. First trip to Ride Rock Creek and I broke my damn foot. Guess I am the jerk who went straight to the park...
lol, we live and we learn! I remember my first trip to Bailey MTB Park... was terrifying!
SPOT ON!!!!
Based on real events lol
If I don’t wear gloves, when out riding,I wil always get cuts and scratches on my hands, not good when I have to wash and disinfect them in alcohol multiple times a day 😖
I’m just here for music festival Bobo 😂
I wore fingerless gloves for over a year not realizing it. I was hitting massive gaps and throwing no handers and half offs on everything💀
Love it
Nothing wrong riding with the burn 🔥
I wear my normal street clothes whenever I ride
Civic-crx same same. But different
Fuck ya love this one brochacho 🤘🤘🤘🤘 “ I’m in it for the downs” 😂😂
I’ve definitely uttered that a time or two 😂
@@BIKINGWITHBOBO hahaha me too right when I started 😎
I’ve seen guys going down trails wearing flip flops and silk shorts…..lol
Lol oh man
I did the opposite. I went from mountain biking to road biking. Helmet (with visor), SPD pedals, mtb shoes, baggies, t shirt (hadn't earned my first "century" jersey yet - that came many long, miserable hours later when I was starting to wonder if my saddle had fallen off and I was sitting on the seat post), and a fully loaded Camelbak. Hadn't joined the cool guy roadies club quite yet (they made me ride in the back). In time, I figured out how awesome bibs, road shoes, road pedals, water bottles, jersey pockets and small saddle bags with CO2 cartridges were....😅
Move to Denver. Buy a ripmo af. Do everything in the video. Bikes been in the basement almost 3 years and been ridden about as much. 🤷♂️
Oh man, gotta get back at it 🤘
I like my fingerless gloves. Kook for life!
Hilarious! Sooo what you are saying, is don't be like us🤣
Lol yup
Wow a non rusted out Honda crx si
Then you get really good and start going back, wearing less and less protection, screw the kneepads, the gloves, the fullface the technical clothes and ride a steel hardtail 😂
Lol exactly
OK- CRX owners, SOUND OFF! Who had a CRX? Mine was an OG - '84 crx!!! That's the first year they imported them! LOL
'You've already met your insurance deductible'!
It really is shocking how having insurance DRASTICALLY changed my skill level! LOL
😂 nothing gives you confidence like a good insurance plan
YHo Bobo - your shit is so good man... keep it up!!! you make us giggle, a LOT! :-) Thank you!
@@BIKINGWITHBOBO
Thank you, I wasn't sure if the CRX was called Civic in the US. Now everything is clear.
Man, I love my finger-less gloves... it's like a hand mullet!
I got that Blow reference
🤘
got lucky enough to not get plated but collarbon is a must for sure
I'm fairly new to bike park riding, I was thinking about asking a coach for some lessons I see at the park every now-and-then. Fast forward 3 weeks, and I was in line and saw him at the lift in a sling. I said, hey Hunter, broken collarbone? Hunter: Yeah, I was going too fast. Me: ( in my head) Hmmm...I'll find another coach. Then said, wow, dude. Sorry that happened.
Hunter, if you happen to see this, no offense man. It's all good.
I wear fingerless gloves because they are the best.
98 civic was a good car and a newer frame.
I identify way too much with this video! )
Link to those gloves please?
Handupgloves.com 🤘
@@BIKINGWITHBOBO thx
Me being me was dared to ride BMX down 23 km's of downhill. It felt like I had no finger control at all half way down. I don't recommend it.
Cmon! No advice on that beginners sore taint?!?!
Lol
Aahhhh😂ooohhh 😮
I can name 11 things
Screw you Bobo, I'll wear what I want! Also, sage advice.
😂
zam
It’s hot. I’m going to ride in a mini skirt for portable air conditioning
Imagine going to bike park on a ebike while your real mtb bike is on a makeshift bike rack because you sold your car to pay off all the medical and bike debit you got for your first year of riding.
That's CRX just saying
I have my 7500 dollar turbo levo on my 98 tahoe. not one regret
Lol nice 🤘
Hit up TJ Max, buy the golf shirts, they are wild looking and function every bit as good as a bike jersey. Plus, the collar says "Classy Shredder".
Ok
Screw your expensive bike gear. Been riding for years. I wear whatever is comfortable. That includes old shorts, comfortable skate shoes, and fingerless gloves. I could care less what anyone thinks.
Toxic mtb culture. Wear whatever you want.
Knee pads... probably should... should get something like knee pads...
So....should I get kneepads?
Hilarious! I love the SUV sized Civic LOL!!!
Lol 🤘
..
$500 for a hard tail?? WHERE!?
They exist! Lol
Costco 😆
@@jrive075 they got Kirkland mountain bikes now?? Staaaahhp
@@Benwa_ not Kirkland brand but the do sell a hardtail with a cheap sun tour fork for $300-$400. I bought two in Feb (wife and I) and then a MTB buddy took me to real trails and flow lines, after almost dying a few times I realized why such a cheap bike didn’t work. In June bought a stumpy evo elite… and wow 😆
Consume. Consume. Consume. Consume.
Consume. Consume. Consume. Consume.
Consume. Consume. Consume. Consume.
You hit the nail on the head. This video is pathetic. Toxic MTB culture.
oh no hes getting older
Lol yup
@@BIKINGWITHBOBO happens to the best of us
Skinny jeans?? Really? If you're looking to be hip with whatever the latest fashion is, then you shouldn't be mountain biking really. Go hang out at the nearest starbucks or whatever place serves up the latest cage-free, hormone-free, grass-fed, no-animal-was-harmed, save-the-trees-and-bushes flavored beer.
a real helmet is a full face, never wear open face helmets they are fkn useless
I use my head a lot, this is great advice. I (and pretty much everyone else) seem to always go face first into the ground.
But seriously - get some kneepads
Padded shorts should be higher on the priority list than knee pads
What?!?! (Feels hip that’s still sore from 3 month old crash) 😂
@BIKINGWITHBOBO I ment shorts with a chamois. They keep the jewels in place and they add some padding to your butt
Does any of these things really matter? So much for mountain biking being for something fun to do, you people have gone and turned it in to some expensive status symbol that means nothing. Ride what you want, in what you want how you want just go have fun thats all that matters.
I have to be honest with you about something. I hate sponsored ads, they suck big hairy ball sacks. But I watch yours all the way to the end because they aren't just an ad they are a comedy bit with naked piles, and now it burns when I pee.
Lol hell yeah they are 🤘
"get yourself some real shoes" the marketing boys have you brain washed
Vans work
@@BIKINGWITHBOBO I know this video is only in jest. but it is easy to get sucked into spending alot more money than necessary
@@phililpb oh yeah, for sure 💯
believe me they are not useless when you go at mach one in a double diamond DH trail
@@boriscima8134 also true 💯
Jorts 😂
