Ellis definitely brings up a good point about the wedding largely being about other people because the best example of that is both the bride and groom going around tables at the party checking up on everyone making sure they are okay and having a good time, to me whilst i appreciate the thought for that, it always bothers me how little time they both have for themselves and how little they are sitting down and resting, it seems really unfair to me.
Aye ...it is wonderful to become husband and wife but really a whole day wedding is something of a punishment beating!
i feel like you could make a separate podcast or series just based on Jake's chaotic wedding stories lol

sleep paralysis is horrible i agree, i was exactly the same trying to scream for someone to wake me up. only happens when i sleep on my back for some reason so now i never lie down on my back in bed
My wedding was a disaster. Day before 26 degrees and bright sunshine. We set up tents in the garden and decorated everything. Next day there was a downpour and everything collapsed. When we were finished with the wedding ceremony, we wanted to go into the apartment, it was just a pity that the key was forgotten in the apartment. We had to break the window. Then the wedding soup was oversalted. Later our cat sprained his leg and had to go to the vet. I was happy when the day was over :D

They have a great relationship, and she's a great addition. Everyone has something I like, Gabby for smiles and accent, Ellis for intelligence, Alex for trolling, Jake for the bumbling, and Cath for the mom role. All the side characters are great as well. Can't wait to see Devler on the show.
To be fair she works hard and seems to do a lot of the organisation and design. Did you know she used to be a graphic designer?

And this was during the actual wedding ceremony and not anything before or after.

About that nightmare paralysis, I've had that happen where I was taking a nap in the car. I was fully conscious and the only thing I could move was my head, so I just started shaking my head as fast as possible so I could get someone's attention, so they could wake me up, thankfully that worked, but I still remember to this day.

Our wedding was at a castle, including a joust as entertainment, with onsite chapel (gotta have a church for the medieval authenticity) and accomodation, and all the guests dressed up in medieval attire; me and my groomsmen were all in armour, my wife and her bridesmaids all looked like elven princesses. We had around 80-ish guests. The most expensive part of it turned out to be the outfits, which we will wear again because we're into that stuff. We managed to keep it under $8K AUD, if you don't count the outfits. Everyone said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to.

Instead of spending $20K on our wedding, I put that on a house , my wife would rather I bought us a home then spend it on one day that no matter how much it cost, it still will always be one of the most special days of our lives. Still married after nearly 30 years. Debt free and no mortgage since our 20's.
Whenever a WPE podcast would turn up I always save it for whenever I'm working on some drawings. And its always a pleasant experience to hear them talk about shit (no pun intended) and having a giggle every once in awhile.
But that dream sequence. When their dream talks gets progressively more and more disturbing. My fight or flight response in up on the roofs now and I think I'm gonna be in a paranoid state for the rest of the day. Thanks guys. Can't wait for the next episode

For years i've ignored ads whenever they popped up, but in the past year there have been certain ones where I just gave in, and ended up getting audible and raycons both. And the main reason why I got them is because the youtubers who presented the ads are ones I really enjoy watching and just also respect, so there's that note of; 'well, it must be a good thing if x promotes them'. And I'm glad I did, I enjoy going for walks listening to my audiobooks with them now. In other words.. ads work xD As much as they are disliked, they're around because it's a positive source of income. And if it helps the content creators, that I love watching, continue what they're doing, then great.
I’m with Alex on this, I married my Husband last year, we had a registry office wedding largely because we wanted it to be simple as that was what we wanted. BUT, Ellis is absolutely right that most of the money we spent on our wedding came on the stuff that wasn’t the ceremony 😂

My mate, who's Brazilian, had his wedding near his hometown. Absolutely stunning location.
500 people attended the wedding! Each person got a little embroidered bag with a pair of unique pair havaianas (fancy flip flops). That alone cost over £6000. Then there were all the food, free drinks, live bands etc. The headlining band were apparently the biggest rock group in Brazil.
I knew his family was wealthy but JESUS CHRIST! That was easily pushing £200k+

If i ever get married, small party, only closest family, maybe some friends, that's it. Depending on how things are by then, not even family and friends, just my partner and me signing papers.
On the topic of dreams I actually had a dream the other night about travelling to Thailand with my boyfriend and everyone from wpe, where upon reaching Thailand we all got ice cream then immediately had to shit extremely bad, then a spaceship crashed into the streets, 10/10 dream
If you find yourself having the slow running dream, try hopping on one leg. No idea why, but it seems to work. Another technique is to try to turn lights on or off in a dream. I’ve flipped nightmares on their head and taken control a few times with that one. Again, no idea why it works, or if it will work for other people.
The dream segment reminds me of the dreams I have that end up happening irl, and I won't remember it until it actually happens irl. Sometimes it'll be obscure but sometimes it'll be something big, like one time I predicted a breakup between some friends.
This podcast just gets weirder and weirder every episode

Ever since I was a child I have had two recurring nightmares: The first, a gypsy who tries to enter my house, while I try to close the door on her, which she tries to push to enter, well the gypsy's hand didn't end well, when I finally ended the nightmare, since the her fingers fell off when I slammed the door shut (and her hand was where the door closed). The second nightmare, however, is of an angry person, with a red face (as if he had had too much sun on his face), and intense blue eyes. In this second nightmare I am a 3/4 year old child. Not to mention the fact that as a child I couldn't wake up from these nightmares. Then I wonder why I suffer from insomnia! lOl

I would never get married in a church for the simple reason i get a splitting headache every time i step foot in one, i dont know if its the air and dust and the like, or if im secretly satan incarnate and cant step on consecrated ground, but i always get the worst damn headaches when i step foot in anything from a cathedral to a local country chaple

Don't know if you folks care about dream interpretations, but the one about your teeth falling out has to deal with loss and grief while the one about trying to run away only for your body to move really sluggishly deals with feeling powerless and signifies a lack of self-esteem or self-confidence. I remembered when i was young I dreamed that I had died. I woke up shocked and sobbing to my mom
I can feel Gabby a bit with the dream thing. I had a similar thing were i was on the bus on the way home from work were it was like every other day until i woke up but the view i saw in the "dream" didnt change when i woke up. It kinda felt like something would make me watch my surroundings like i was in danger.
Feel better about the wedding part. I cut my best man off after our wedding because of reasons. Least im not the only one

Man, those things are weird! Sometimes, when you can't move when you sleep, your brain comes up with dream situations to make sense of them (this is speculated as to where some "alien abductions" come from)
I myself have had a few, one of which was Barry White sitting on my chest. I've had creatures digging their claws into my torso, digging their fingers between my ribs.
One time a friend of mine accidently sent me a link to a ghost story (he meant to reply to a thread of mine, but had copy+paste on somehow) I read the story, which was pretty cool and had a tall, sinister man with gauze over his face tormenting the hero. I then had a nap and had a tall, gauze wearing man pressing me with his large hand into my sofa.
My friend replied that he didn't mean to send me that link. "Cheers mate! I had sleep paralysis demons from that!"
A while later, he was getting spammed from a scammer on Twitter. I joined the thread saying "I wouldn't mess with him, dude! He set sleep paralysis demons on me, and he's a friend of mine!"
I spent less than a $100 on my wedding and I was very happy with that. I didn’t get the wedding I wanted (courthouse wedding) but it was unavailable as it was during Covid, so we prioritized and the most we spent was on the flowers that were real (most were fake).

I also had one of those where I was awake but I couldn’t move my body but before that I had horrific nightmare and after that I cried for like an hour and didn’t go back to sleep, I was like 11 it was about 2 am, and I only slept because I passed out after school like proper fainted when I was near my bed woke up half on the floor which was horrific

I think there's an Adam Ruins Everything episode about why weddings are expensive.
I watch my dreams like TV. If I need to change the channel due to a bad dream I feel a pull from my sternum to pull me out of the dream. And inception dreams, ive dreamt I was in bed dreaming and woke up. I did that about 6x in a row and now when woke up I had no idea if I was in reality.

The number one pastime in Amsterdam is stiffing and bilking foreign tourists for all they're worth. As for the stag do, for a mate's stag do we just went to a pool hall as the groom liked to shoot a game of pool every now and then, and had a nosh in the adjacent restaurant afterwards. It was quite nice, and none of us really drank either, so we could actually have a decent conversation.
