This scene always makes me cry. I'll never be half the man my father is. I am very lucky to have him. He's my Superman.

Exactly fam, I’m in the same boat. Sometimes dads are just too gangsta and the next gen can’t keep up

Then Cory grew up to treat him like shit. Typical

They had a problems after he first got married bc Cory was young and self absorbed but they worked it out and were good.

I always wanted to smack Eric in this scene because he's basically the epitome of lazy teens who complain about how "hard" their job is now that they're expected to work. I work with a kid who just turned 19 (he's on his first year out of high school) and he recently was crying about how he had to work five days in a row. I was like "Geez, welcome to the real world. Where virtually EVERYONE works at least five days a week".

What if it was that 19 year olds or Eric's first te having to work like that.

My first job I worked 12 and 14 hour days.... Plus weekends. Crazy to think about how lazy some kids are allowed to be.

What did that kid think his parents did those five days a week? Just leave the house for hours without reason ?

I never thought of that as complaining. He basically said that he only worked half a shift and it made him exhausted for doing all that. He was explaining it to Cory. And then he goes on to say that Alan (Dad) works non stop and doesn't seem the bit least tired. I think if he was lazy, he would have tried to ask his dad if he could not go into work or leave work before his shift ended. My first job was an eight hour shift and was exhausted afterwards. I also thought it was a nightmare but I did it just like Eric did.

being mad at people complaining is more annoying than complaining
