@@95johndeering I guess props to them for showing a variety of quality of their content instead of just the good stuff. It's pretty clear those Twilight videos were done because it was topical at the time so they generated a lot of traffic. I don't really feel the passion in those videos and didn't even like them very much at the time of release. A sketch like "Ian Gets Lucky" was the type of the stuff I enjoyed from them back then.

Forums were really common, it's similar to how Facebook groups exist. There was a forum for everything.
Back in the day it took like 5 minutes to start a message board. You’d just pick a name, categories, a color scheme, and people could go and start threads. There were forums for literally every topic. Sounds like Anthony actually bought a domain and created a website though, which you’re right, is impressive.

it’s honestly really nice to hear backstories of old smosh videos. how it start, the effort that went into it, the editing process, and how the logo was made. I’m sure that info was already out there, but it’s the first I’m hearing of it. I loved all these videos when I watched them years ago, and thank you to Angela and Chanse for asking the questions I would’ve asked. Also the fact that Ian still has the easy step warms my damn heart

Crazy how there's only a gap of about 6 years between Anthony and Angela, and she's completely amazed by him talking about using DV tape cameras.
For full transparency, I posted a similar comment a few minutes ago, where I got the gap off by... a full decade. Considering I'm an engineering student, I probably shouldn't be that bad at math.

Its funny how Chance kept asking who the people were, not realizing there was no cast back then. It was just Ian, Anthony and a bunch of extras.
