Words I have to say:
This guy, man, he's pretty much my hero. One of the first too. You know, I´m totally obsessed with steam trains and American railroads, but sometimes I feel so lonely in my home country... Well, at least in the state I live in... Especially when we´re talking about Casey Jones? Not the doucher with a chainsaw-massacre-mask and hockey stick from TMNT, but Jonathan Luther, man? The greatest heroic railroad engineer who ever got passenger- and mail trains in record-breaking time?
I just feel like the only swede that know anything at all 'bout one of the most honorable folklore heroes ever existing on earth!...
Anyway, I now present my Swedish tribute to the most heroic railroader of all time.
The story;
Year 1900, April the 29th John L. (Casey) Jones, on duty, was in a hurry to Memphis with his Illinois Central RR 4-6-0 locomotive No 382 pulling the "Cannonball Express". Then that raining n storming night near Vaughan all of sudden he spotted a caboose to a halted long freight train fighting with another freight train on a small siding faraway ahead. Casey blew warning signals to the crew on the other train, yelled to his african-american fire stoker Simon Webb to jump off before disaster, he slammed on the brakes as hard as he could, but it was all too late.
Most of all people survived with some damage, but poor John Luther...
After saving people´s life he went to heaven to rest in peace...
And perhaps be the head engineer for the railroads in heaven.

Here´s some lyrics, if you wanna read! XP
Come all you rounders if you wanna hear the story about a brave engineer
Casey Jones was the roller's name on a 68 wheeler course he won his fame
Caller called Casey bout half past four. He kissed his wife at the station door
He climbed in the cabin with his orders in his hand
Said this is the trip to the Promised Land
CHORUS
Casey Jones climbed in the cabin
Casey Jones orders in his hand
Casey Jones leanin' out the window taking a trip to the Promised Land
Through South Memphis Yards on a fly rain been a fallin' and the water was high
Everybody knew by the engine's moan that the man at the throttle was Casey Jones
Well Jones said, "Fireman now don't you fret". Sim Webb said "We ain't a givin' up yet.
We're eight hours late with the southbound mail.
We'll be on time or we're leavin' the rails."
(CHORUS)
Dead on the rail was a passenger train. Blood was a boilin' in Casey's brain
Casey said "Hey now - look out ahead! Jump, Sim jump or we'll all be dead!"
With a hand on a whistle and a hand on a brake north Mississippi was wide awake.
The IC railroad official said, "He's a good engineer to be a laying dead."
(CHORUS)
Headaches and heartaches and all kinds of pain are all the part of a railroad train.
Sweat and toil, the good and the grand are part of the life of a railroad man.
(CHORUS)
Casey Jones is my favorite engineer
Why? He always broke the speed limit
@@thegillingroup1303 he never broke the speed limit. He always pushed the speed limit to the max
My family were railroad workers. I was named Casey to honor them. Casey Jones is big medicine with them.
Rest In Peace Casey Jones
Casey Jones died in April , 1900
My grandma was born in May 1900.
Casey Jones is my idol

Ahhh, good ol’ Johnny Cash.

Great Job!
Thank you! ^^
The song´s called `Johnny Cash - "Casey Jones"´.
As a kid once took a field trip to Casey Jones Village in Jackson...place was cool but there were syringes outside by the fucking parking lot curbs & shit lol.
Jackson isn’t a particularly nice place these days..dunno for sure that it ever was.
Beautyfull Job .... eternal and brave engineer Casey Jones!
Is that so?
Easier done than said. Thanks for telling!
Well, it kind of reminded me too. But here, the whole loco is under water.
I might in the future.
A railroad man stood at the Pearly Gate
And his face was scarred and old.
He stood before the Man of Fate for admission to his fold.
“What have you done,” St. Peter asked “to gain admission here?
“I’ve been an engineer for many and many a year.”
The Pearly Gates swung open wide as St. Peter touched the bell,
“Come right in and choose your harp, you’ve had enough of hell”
Well said, dude.
The train looked like a dog when it was soaked! XD
Very nice video,JoeltheSwedishdragon
I work with a couple of real life Casey Jones's. At least they they think they are. ,.lol.
His train was a 2-8-4 numbered 360
jon toscano This is incorrect, he was in an Illinois Central 4-6-0 “Ten Wheeler” Numbered 382.
i realize that. I know that now

Best song in The world
Cool, believe it or not I heard this song before, my uncle was a big Johnny Cash fan
Anyway awesome job, really like this amv ^ ^
CASEY JONES IS AN MASTER AT THE THRODLE AS DRIVES HIS TRAIN.
lol?
It was engine 382 he was driving then it crashed he died so sad
Things happens...
I agree 100%, if they tell you not to do it while driving, what on earth makes it okay to do it while driving a train?
There about a few 100 tons difference!!!
I heard that someone is gonna post a video on youtube of blueprint paintings for a of a beautiful model of casey jones train 638 this year. Hopefully lionel or mth can make it
Okay, then, I´ll try to keep in mind. It will be interesting.
Okie-dokes, dude!

8 hours late? now!
You too, huh? He's the reason I want to be a singin' Railroader in the first place!
My thoughts exactly, that and educate the world about the legends that make the world great.
Aye, so do mine too.
If you ever get the chance you should check out the Amtrak.
MY NAME IS CASEY!
Tay to
MrDesolateOne hmm
uhm im swedish too :)
It's pretty sad actually the only reason why he died is because he was running so late if he would have been on time then that track would have been cleared.
Hey, Joel, it's me, RockabillyRebel!
This is one helluva video! Good job on the song and the film work. Seems to me we both have a common interest on the Legendary railroader. Sounds like it may or may not be up to us to re-spread the word on both sides of the Atlantic.
~Your American friend,
C.J.
Now when you say it... Yeah, it´s kind of! XD
He had a livestock train instead of passengers.
Nickel Plate Nerd He actually was pulling a passenger train called the Cannonball Express
WTF!?,A TRAIN WENT UNDERWATER!?
It's made by Disney, anything can happen:)
Yeah, like that steam locomotive replacing the far more superior EMD's and GE's of America.
So sad
No desenho animado ele chegou bem vivo na vida real e outra coisa 😭😢
As you can see in my description, I know the story already. And I would show the part when Casey tells Sim to jump off, if Disney made the scene in this cartoon.
You can see this as while Casey tells Sim, the conductor sees the danger from the roof and runs forward to the engine and waits for orders by the leader what to do.
Well Joel, it seems like America is discracing her routes, rails don't seem to mean to much to the average American anymore, V&T #11 is a good example of how some people just don't care anymore.
And you like railroading?
If I were an enginer, any wreck I'd have would be like Casey's, you don't bring a cell phone into the cab, thats just asking for something bad to happen!
If that's Casey, I'm a Rhode Island rooster. Well, Cock-A-Doodle doo.
Talked to ankofon, but haven´t got any reply yet.
whre is the fireman?
Is a break van man
100th comment!
So u live in Sweden, what's it like? Do they have trains there too? Have u ever thought about moving to America one of these days or have u already have?
One spelling error easily fixed.
When Casey is leaving the yard in the original video there is no way he could have made it through.
That´s terrible. But still, the blast of the railroad hobby was born in the US. They took the English invention in the 1920s-30s-40s-50s and Americanized the whole thing.
Rob Lightyear98, you should be coming back on CZcams so you're uploading all videos: All Toons Adventures In The Oz Kids Christmas In Oz Parody, Paramount Means Family Entertainment Trailer (SpongeBob SquarePants Parody), The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh Song - Hip Hip Pooh Ray (SpongeBob And Patrick Parody), Winnie The Pooh - Heffalumps And Woozles Song (The Oz Kids Parody), George Of The Jungle Teaser Trailer (Buzz Lightyear Parody), Toy Story 2 Riders In The Sky Music Video (The Oz Kids Parody), and more.
I wonder how it will look like with snoWpiercer trains.

Aye, I know that he´s not something made-up, like the tooth fairy.
But I didn´t knew everything about him, so I took some parts from your knowledge. Is it Okay if I put yours in the info box?
casey junior vs casey jone
This video is old as me
Casey Jr: you see the accident when I crashed into a train was kind of hard food then I was forced to go take a passenger train I tried to jump a bridge but it didn’t work no I’m forced to do circus duty
4
But he's rebuilt in 1864
im norwegian
Yeah, but you´re living in a kingdom ruled by railroad hobby. I´m in a country where it seems that almost nobody gives a shit about Casey, not even trains.
Sweden was the very last land in the world to get an own railroad. It didn´t begin until 1856 when the first track was built.
But The cartoon here got alot wrong. Casey Was headin' south with passengers in #382 a 4-6-0 Ten Wheeler.
the cartoon said west with mail in #2 a 4-4-0 Amarican.
the cartoon was based off the SONG, not history. Leaving them free for their own things.
This picture is how the Train looks like,(_________🚂📼🚋🚋🚃_________)

Imagne Casey jones Is haracter from TMNT
Which is a disservice to the legendary railroad engineer.
It would be like making a racist gaffing clown of a side character in a similar cartoon show or whatever, and name him Abraham Lincoln.
@@joeypetey6116 i know
It's like Walt Disney was deliberately corrupting history with this rewrite of even the popular ragtime ballad which acknowledged the real Casey had died after he "bumped" with another train.
hey I seen the real John l Jones Casey jones
