Fishing at a POWER PLANT During the Coldest Day in Years

- In this video, I had the bright idea to go wade fishing during the coldest day in Tampa Bay, Florida for the last two years. The best place to fish when the temperature is low is where the water is warm, and that usually means the Power Plant outflow. I was fishing Goofy Jigs tipped with shrimp and caught a variety of different fish.

Whenever I tip the jig with shrimp I get garbage fish. Just a plain jig catches pompano no problem, at least at teco.
The mangroves on the far side are usually loaded with reds if you can grab a yak.

I actually did try for one that day on a Mirrolure, but I didn't get any bites and I had that spot on the lens of the GoPro from the trout so I didn't show that footage

Just a heads up, if you are trying to fish by boat near the power plant, don't go past the little island near the entrance to their docking area or the sheriff will show up. Wouldn't really suggest eating anything in those waters anyway with all the coal that's fallen in the bay there from the barges. just keep to the nature preserve side.

Got to love it, just a random dude yells at you hey you cant keep that, better yet master sends out a random dude comes up to you and says, got a fishing license/permission slip ? And you just got your 4th amendment right violated and dont even realize it. Help abolish the dam fishing license !
