    Man. I installed the DID 420V Chain today on my surron lightbee after using the original chain for a year. The difference is insane. The new chain is SO MUCH quieter than the old stock oring chain. Lets see how long this DID chain will last with good maintenance

    O ring chain last a bit longer with proper maintenance but in sand will hold grit in the o rings and won’t come out , non oring is lighter so more power to wheel less effort from engine also easier to clean

      That's whaylt I thought , but the dist with the grease goes in the links of a non o-ring and destroys ilit ...

      O-rings last a lot longer and the o-rings keep the dirt and sand out of the rivets, not hold it in.

      @@TepcoCycleRepair it’s really a tuff argument cause I’ve ran both and the oring tends to get stiff as heck from all the grim build up and I keep my chains clean!

    I was considering switching from the O-ring chain to non-O-ring. Not doing it now I don’t want the maintenance either.

    I know it’s a while after you posted this vid, just curious, what kind of grease do you use to oil up the chain? Do you find different chains need different lube ?

    Now you will need a 3rd battery to compensate for the drag🤣

      Is the D.I.D racing chain non O ring and is the rental r1 better ?

    The oring chain is more expensive and comes on the bike from the factor. They have to have a pretty damn good reason to continue to use oring vs non-ring considering they could cut cost on the build with a non-ring chain if it really did preform better. I think ill stick to what the factor intended to be on my bike.

    I have a 2022 KTM 150 XC-W TPI that I race hare scrambles. It's a little low in power but I like the weight of the bike. I know that there is more maintenance in the non o-ring chain but did you notice a difference in power delivery? I'm retired and have all the time in the world to do the maintenance if there is a benefit.

      @vegasromaniac  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Not a difference but orange chains slap a lot more because there are a lot more rigid where the wave propagates differently on a non-overing chain that is properly maintained

    Does anyone know how well the belts do in the dirt? I know they advertise that they have a special belt and sprocket that clear dirt easier, but I've yet to find anyone with experience writing in dirt with a belt

      Don't do belts. Rocks get under and pierce thru

    the best for this bike is without the Krušková chain or X ring. Better performance less... But they need to be taken care of regularly. I used the O rings with the original stock one, so now it clogs up very quickly and hums and reduces the performance of the bike itself, the bike does not run as it should at all. nor One of the seductive Offroad bikers not to use a chain with rings but without a ring chain. Gives much more power... Lower friction... Also less noise. for this bike, a regular chain without rings must be used

  • @TepcoCycleRepair
    @TepcoCycleRepair Před 2 lety +1

    An o-ring on the Surron...you'll never have to adjust it. I only use O-rings (actually X-rings) unless the bike is 85cc or less.

      @@vegasromaniac Did you change the rear sprocket and front cog too? Mine are pretty much due for replacement with the chain itself. Sand and mud destroy them big time.
