What is CRIMESIGHT?
Whodunnit... or who will do it?! A new mystery simulation game with player-vs.-player action arrives on the crime scene! In CRIMESIGHT, players will face off against each other in a battle of wits. In this clash of good and evil, who can outsmart their opponent and come up on top?!
Among the game's characters are one "villain", who carries out a murder, and one "target", the villain's future victim.
The player on the Moriarty side must fulfill objectives to complete their crime, while the players on the Sherlock side must prevent it from happening.
Over the course of a match, the villain and the target will slowly come to light.

Well I feel it is a quite stupid mechanic. You should have the option of doing exactly what chilled wanted.
I like how this is more of a proxy deception game rather than the players deceiving each other, they have to use the people on the board

actually that came up because everyone got a weapon, hence there are too many pieces of evidence, pointing at everyone equally, to make a conclusion.

In that game, cheesy would sometimes say the character is going for a weapon even before they do so. Chilled may not know who the killer is, but cheesy admitting who he's controlling could actually help reveal who the target is. All in all, that game was full of blunders
@@iandominiclagman7546 In those cases, Cheesy could see that they were going for a weapon because it is shown as red when playing as Moriarty, not because he gave the command.
That second game couldn't have played out any better. All the innos are hanging out together while the killer's off by himself, plotting murder.
Needless to say, Cheesy _really_ didn't think that one through.
It's even better than you think. The final command phase had triggered while the killer was more than 3 step away from the murderer, meaning the murderer could NOT reach the victim unless the victim itself decided to run back.
Cheesy checkmated himself hard.
Be honest, did Cheesy want to play this because he looks like Sherlock in the game?

You dudes are comparing a straight haired blonde blue eyed person to dirty blonde borderline ginger curly hair brown eyed person and saying they look the same. If that isn't racist idk what is.
So about 1:10:00 victory: Noxious gas gives 1 damage for anyone ending their turn in the same tile. Then the famine arrived and ticked them down to "Critical", which makes them only able to move 1 and can't witness the crime. That is the condition Sherlock want to avoid the most because it basically makes witnesses useless, and it's so that you WILL look for food as Sherlock to not get people to Critical, risking to find weapons.
I kinda love how this game works and I'd love to see you play this with more friends!

@@yungblayde7895 there are spaces for 4 people, and chilled pointed out that because its only those 2 they can share who is good and bad. What I imagine is that with more people you don't share your identity with the others and it add more mind games

I like the fact the game is a fusion of multiple games into one; I never thought such a concept could be pulled off and I'm wondering if mods that add classes could make this even more dynamic for what you could do.
I can't tell if Cheesy is bad at this game, or if Chilled is terrifyingly good at this game. lol

On the first two games 100% its cheesy pulling checkmates on himself.
The art looks insane it’ll be interesting if this game gets legs
Technically speaking, it is possible to do a turn 1 murder, under the most specific circumstances
The killer must find a weapon on the same square as the victim. They don't have to start together, the murderer just has to find it.
Then the improbable has to happen
The detective has to move 3 witnesses out of the room. Already a 50/50 odds, then the Moriarty has to move the last one out too, and it cannot be a repeat with the detective.
To pull this off, assuming the detective is garunteed to move out 3 witnesses, the odds are .5*.25 (odds of picking the one witness that wasn't already picked.) or about 12.5%.
Granted, the detective can make this 0% by literally not using all 3 moves to leave.
There is also the scenario where the killer moves into a room, and then the victim moves in right behind, but that is an infinitesimal situation too.
Don't you HAVE to "assail" in order to do the murder and in order to assail you have to have a weapon first? wouldn't that take a minimum of 2 turns or are you saying simply being in the same room alone with a weapon can kill the target?
Edit: I've seen further into the video and have seen that you can kill without assailing.
@@PurpleCyanideTube Assail orders the character to follow the target and occupy the same space, that's why they end up going last in the turn order
@@PurpleCyanideTube as long as the killer is alone with the target in the same room (they may need to be on the same square, I'm unsure) by the end of the round they'll go for the kill if they have a weapon. This catches Cheesy out in their 2 round game, chilled didn't go for the kill but the target entered the room alone with the armed killer and the game ended.
Because I'm unsure if it's room or square, it may be that a first round kill is Only possible if you move into a side room with the killer, arm them, and then hope the target moves in as well. Otherwise your hoping you end up in the same square in the starting room at the end of the turn with everyone else moved out, and at least one of those moves will always be AI so it'd be total rng.
@@PurpleCyanideTube Did you finish the video before coming down to the comments section? One of the highlights is one of them losing on turn two by dumb luck, and it could have been turn one had his luck (and movement) been worse.
These stats are false, go to college.
Literally don't even have to do math to know it's wrong, dude says odds of the second part are 0% but thats an impossibility in of itself. Odds are the ai will move them away from your target, so if sherlock does nothing your odds would actually be higher than 12%. Furthermore you cant so simply calculate human decisions like this, sorry bud but death note is just an anime. Sure, sherlock has 12% chance to actually pick specific characters this is a given, but what sherlock does with said characters has too many variables in and out of the game to calculate in this barbaric simple minded high schooler fashion.

this game looked so much fun during the livestream! one thing i think makes it needlessly more difficult tho is the fact you can see where your opponent's mouse cursor is. that can give away a lot info (like which pawn you're focusing on) especially if you're trying to stay under the radar in a 2v2 or 1v3 game setup.
This looks like such a cool game, but I suspect that it could get stale fast if you don't play with friends

I don't think I've seen many 1v1 social deception games, the concept is interesting, but it seems like it has a steeper learning curve than most games of the genre.
I'm glad you played this! I saw this on Steam and thought it looked pretty interesting, but held off on getting it until I saw some gameplay.

Convenient this was sponsored, I don't think you would've played it otherwise. Honestly, I liked this quite a bit, I'd love to see this with . . . well . . . probably most of the people that have ever enjoyed Among Us, Project Winter, or any of the other deception head to head games. At the very least, I think this'd be worth trying to get a single session with some people to see how other people like it. Not many games can be as versatile as deception games with a lot of people, I wonder what this one would be like if a group got into it for a bit.

About the Sherlock’s ability to detect if a killer is in proximity of the target:
I would like to speculate that it only counts spaces that the characters can move between. So hypothetically, that would mean if the target & killer were separated by a long enough wall, it would not count.

If the assailant isn't in the same room as the target at the end, I don't think you should get the last-minute rescue cutscene.

They finally put in the Watson AI. Don't know what it does, but I can only guess he acts like the Irene AI for the good guys.
I hope we get more Crimesight videos with chilled but i can understand if this ends up being a one time or two time thing
This game obviously looks absolutely beautiful but I feel like they could've designed the UI a bit more clearly. I think I pretty much understood the game after the second round but I still have to pay really close attention to keep track of everything that's happening because the screen is so cluttered.
Town of Salem for example is a lot less pretty and also more complex but I feel like it's pretty good at drawing your attention to everything that is important.
But here there are so many glitch effects, blinking lights and text boxes that it's a bit harder to follow than it should be for a game that's actually pretty simple at its core.

From what I know, It's just the art-style of the game but, since it's Konami, there could be different media for it depending on how well the game is received.
Just a game, though it could definitely be a fun Anime. A Cyberpunk Danganronpa style dystopia where Villain Moriarty hacks people and utilizes their impulse to kill to commit crimes and only Sherlock can stop him.

I don't really comment very often but I'm a fan of your play style and your intellect while messing with other players mind. I normally turn in with Project Winter, Among Us, Shellshock, Town of Salem, Prop Hunt, First Class Trouble, Code Names, Trivia Murder Party, and stuff like that... I have to say I not really seen other play these games until you posted and say I really enjoy this game, Crimesight, and Midnight Ghost Hunt and would like to see more. I have to say you're the most entertaining when you play these mind games with others and they fall for it hook, line and sinker.

If I had a nickel for every game that depicted Sherlock as a blond anime pretty boy, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.
Also at 1:10:05, Freeman does a pretty good job murdering for someone who was blinded. I feel like a good nerf for tear gas would be a blinded killer can't attack at all.

Actually, if there were 3 or 4 players and 2 are on Moriarty's side, one will be the player conscribed by Moriarty and the other will play as Irene. Irene is a disruption AI, only able to move one pawn at a time, but this bumps the amount of pawns that Moriarty can move up to 3.
I kinda wished that instead of just having 2 detectives on Sherlocks side that there would be one detective and one player controlling a false pawn AI known as Watson. Watson can move 3 spaces, will be able to perform 1 action per turn and can controlled by no one except for the player using them. They can gather items, carry 3 rations (although they do not need to eat), can not be injured and counts as a witness. They can be blinded, however, and they have as much information on the location items and contraptions as the Sherlock player. The one action that a Watson player can perform is situational:
-If Watson finds a fuse box, he can lock it. This, however, means that on must spend a turn (and a weapon) to break the lock whether their intentions are to cut the power or to restore it.
-Watson can find or confiscate weapons or tear gas from search spots or pawns. Unfortunately, he only has space for 2 of those types of items, so the player must decide between deterrence or disarmament.
-The food rations that Watson has can be distributed to nearby pawns, but ONLY when they show signs of fatigue.
-Watson can scare away the wolf, but must spend an action to do so.
-Watson can sacrifice an action to hold one of the pawns in a long winded conversation for the duration of the next turn, overriding the commands of any and all players for that pawn and keeping them still (this means Watson can not move or act during this time as well).
-When Sherlock has revealed the the killer, Watson can be commanded to 'detain' them or will do so automatically if they are in the same room as him by the end of everyone's actions.
I believe there is a Board game as well that AVGN did a video about. It looks fun and yet confusing and like always I would like to see Seananners go against chilled.
