It was a real privilege having Will Calhoun as an instructor on the Drum Fantasy Camp 2017. He's a gifted musician, a very approachable dude, a great teacher, plus he performed the most intense solo I have ever seen at the closing concert. It's always a pleasure to see and hear him.
Will Rocks! I remember seeing him play at a Zildjian Day in Scotland in early 90's with Vinnie and Tony Williams. Will blew my mind that day! Those drums look fantastic! Congrats! 🤘🥁🤘DC

I listened to so much Living Colour back in the day -- still love the band and Will's playing was/is an enormous part of their sound. He's still got it too!
I met Will in the fall of 87 when their album just came out and they were playing in Connecticut I believe it was at a college in New Britain. Anyway we got to hang out with them all day have dinner with them and I got a lot of great photos with them and they were all super nice guys. I always remember being blown away by Will and his drumming he's only a couple years older than I am, but I look at him like an older brother from another mother, love him and Living Colour
This guy is one of the most underrated drummers of all time. He’s way better than others who might get more Recognition than he does…… something tells me he doesn’t give a crap
Love Will Calhoun. First time I ever heard him was on Living Colour’s album VIVID. The whole band are top-tier musicians, but all that I was able to hear on VIVID and Time’s up were him and Muzz Skillings. Those two were pure magic together.
So as he was unboxing it I thought, "Oh cool - his kit comes in two different sizes!" and then he set ALL of it up at once! The stuff he's doing with two different sized kicks is super cool.
Followed this man since late 80s. Saw him at Modern Drummer festival. Awesome player and human being. Those drums are a work of art.. for a true artist who makes this world a better place.
Gretsch are better than ever , I am approaching eighty and have followed the company for almost seventy years , the current team at Ridgeland are exceptional producing some of the finest instruments available this kit is a fine example of the drum makers art.
Hey Grestch you guys have the best sounding bass drum on the planet. I've played many kits and your bass drum is simply amazing. Problem is I could never afford one of your sweet kick drums 😢 so if you wanted to send a struggling musician just one kick drum I'd forever be grateful. I doubt you will but you don't know if you don't ask right

Will is really good people! we were friends at Berklee college. and since then any time he was in Cleveland on tour we would catch up. His drumming is unbelievably great! Love the new kit!!!!
Respect to Mr.Calhoun glad to have meet him in Frankfurt Germany @ Musikmesse 92 I believe and I still have the signature photo.. Got to see him solo it out in a sound proof drum room. And then briefly meet him. I was probably the only young dark skin Mexican teenager in the whole place...lol
I was 17 when Vivid came out. As a new drummer, Wil, Neil, Alex VH, Stewart, and Ritchie (Hayward, Little Feat) defined my playing. Met Wil in the drum department of Sam Ash on 48th street in '93. Such a nice guy, he rocked out on an ekit and I got a front row seat, although I was standing behind him. 🙂

Fun fact. I bought his Mapex Saturn in the same colour with the glitter after he did his clinic in Auckland. He sure as heck loves that color!
