Thanks Bev! Looking forward to having a great day out on the trails with my best bud! 😎🤘
Super footage, Ben - and great to see one of your videos that doesn't make me feel exhausted by your running a achievements😂.
🤣 glad I didn't knacker you out Nicholas. Thanks for watching the video mate I really appreciate it! 😎🤘
Gorgeous fly by footage Ben - 🏃🏻♂️ All the very best with the downslink
Very kind of you Michael! Thanks for the support mate I appreciate it as always! 😎🤘
Exciting to see your prep for the Downslink Ultra, Ben! Changing up your gear for the race shows your dedication to improvement. Looking forward to hearing your race-day thoughts on these new additions!
Thanks Mihai! I am sure the new bits and bobs are going to do a great job on race day. They haven't let me down yet. Thanks very much for watching Mihai! 😎🤘
See you there Ben. Conditions look great for Sunday…😀👍
Awesome stuff Ben! I thought I spotted your name on the start list but I wasn't 100% sure it was you 🤣 See you on Sunday mate! 😎🤘
That shot at 3:00 breathtaking , what a way to wake your self up
It was a great morning for a run JBS. Perfect conditions and great views. 👌 Thanks for watching mate! 😎🤘
This on the Green sands way going west of leith hill?
Nice view wow i like it, dawn morning jogging is very good for health, full suport this channel thank you for sharing, watching from philippines
Thanks very much! It's a magical time of day. Thanks for watching! 😎🤘
A fantastic looking hydration vest mate. I really like the look of those front water pockets. Interested to hear your full review/break down of it in the future. I also love the sound of this Downs link ultra. Such a beautiful part of the country. You guys are so lucky to have all that on your door step!
It's a great bit of kit Phil! It's not perfect but I don't think there will ever be a perfect race vest. Different people like different things but it's pretty good across the board. I will share my full thoughts in my review. It could be a good race for you mate. Not a huge amount of elevation and it's really runable. Thanks for watching Phil! 😎🤘
Sounds ideal!@@BenNotley
Wow amazing place
I am very lucky to live near some lovely places. Thanks very much for watching! 😎🤘
Great Video here ben. nice to see what what you are wearing/taking with you on the race next week. wishing you both luck and looking forward to see how you both get on :)
Cheers Brad! I thought it might interest some people. Thanks for watching mate I really appreciate it! 😎🤘
See you on the start line!
Don't leave me behind plz bbz!
Good luck with that. Must say have been tempted to try this one day as I have run extensively on the whole route - well the main old railway bit at least! Ought to be good for goal pace at the moment as the often muddy bits like Cranleigh-Baynards I imagine can't be too bad. It's "up" to St Martha's this year isn't it which must make it a lot tougher on one hand but maybe the wind will be more helping than not. Actually looks more like a cross wind. I like the two watch setup - at least you can be sure to "reveal" the full detail on your Strava including mileage per shoe.
I think you should give it a go Tim! I hope there is a tail wind mate that will be very handy. 👍 Bit of an altered course at the end too and we are finishing it Chilworth at the village hall but we have to go down the steep pipe decent down St. Martha's to the finish. Should be a good day out though. 😎🤘
Nice day for it Ben ☀ Good luck with next week 🤞I'm using the Instinct belt at the moment, so it'll be good to hear what you think of the vest 🏃♂
It was a top day for a run Martin. Cheers for the support mate. I have seen the belts and they look great. I would like to try one myself one day. Look forward to hear your thoughts on it mate. 😎🤘
Also running on Sunday - will come and say hi 🙂
Awesome stuff! Look forward to seeing you on Sunday Graham! Did you see the updated route GPX? Thanks for watching mate! 😎🤘
@@BenNotley I did mate thx - yay now 40 miles!! pleased now as have secured a lift beforehand to the start with the outlaws so can ditch car at finish - am booked on the coach but it leaves promptly at 6 and don't want the pressure (although should be fine)... Am sure I'll see you briefly before flying off! Are you running with Dan btw?
@@grahamcook6702 yeah mate we have got some bonus miles 🤣👍 harsh decent down the St Martha's pipe to finish 👌 great result about the lift. 👍 Yeah I am running with Dan. See you there mate 😎🤘
@@BenNotley see the pipe on yours and dans vids, can’t wait!! 🍺🍺
Disappointed there is no mention of a bucket hat 😊 hope the taper week goes well mate!
Sorry to let you down Ian! 🤣 If the weather is nice I will don a bucket hat in your honour mate! 🤣👍
Hey Ben, would be interested in a Suunto Vertical review and your thoughts compared to Garmin Fenix 7. Same with your Speedgoats. Cheers.
Cheers Reto! I will be speaking about the Suunto during this weekends race mate. It does beat the Garmin in some aspects but some others it falls short but some of them could be addressed with a few software updates. Thanks for watching Reto! 😎🤘
Hey Ben, I am also a UD pack user but looking at something different and your review of the Instinct pack got me looking at their 12L version. I like the look of the pack access so you don't have to dive in from the top plus has 3x options for poles. Be interested to see what your thoughts are on quality.
Hi Shaun! The instinct pack I have been using is decent mate. Pretty comfortable with the fitting system around the side. Similar setup to the comfort cinch that UD use. It terms of fabrics they are durable but perhaps not a comfortable on the skin if you're going to be running in a vest top. I will go through a few more points in my review in the next couple of weeks. I hope that's helpful mate. 😎🤘
Hi Ben-enjoyed the video, I was up at St Martha’s later on Saturday as part of my long run getting ready for Race to the Sea. Quick question- do you have any recommendations for a decent head torch as we come into winter. Cheers 🍻 and keep up the good work 👍🏻
It was a lovely day for a run in Saturday Seamus I hope you had a good one mate! I have 2 head torches that I use regularly I have Moonlight 800 and a Perzl Nao+ I have reviews of both on my channel. They are both great torches and both have great features. I really like the moonlight but the Perzl does have some cool features. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching mate! 😎🤘
Cheers 🍻 I’ll take a look👍🏻
Hi Ben. How do you get such stable running footage in low light conditions? I only have to run under a few trees on a cloudy day and my Hero10 videos are really jerky.
I think I got lucky Mark 🤣 I don't do anything special. I just had my camera set on 2.7k 60fps I didn't fiddle with any other settings. Thanks for checking out the video mate! 😎🤘
