Not sleeping for 5 days is actually insanely dangerous because the longest you can go without sleeping is 9-10 days so this guy was legit half way to death.

I mean idk what are your daily routines but i can imagine for ppl who are use to sleep normally this must be really shock for the body, thus vomiting. I personally have insomnia, i usually sleep 3-4hours a day and some days not at all because i just cant fall asleep even when tired. Obviously i would struggle with staying awake for 5 days as well, but for me its always suprising to see other ppl get tired so quickly because i take 48hours almost as an easy task to do if you decide to do so. And for example when we were on Anime-con with friends that is 3 days long every year im the one just doesnt sleep entire con. And 3 days are actually not that hard if u have something to do. Advice is, resort to activities that demends u to stay on foot and even better move. Dont play video games or watch movies cuz then youll likely fall asleep. So for example my favorite activities i do on con is to talk so ppl lead some meaningful conversation, hug ppl and what also prolly helped me when a lot, when ppl wanted to take pics of my cosplay, basically i spend the entire con on foot and never sit. So basically always have something to do. And for ppl who cant sleep as well, recommendation is that even if u cant fall asleep just laying with your eyes closed while being conscious can refill your energy enough to work somehow...

This can actually be pretty dangerous for you, there was a study done where a guy stayed up for like 10 days and he suffered from insomnia for the rest of his life, after never having a struggle with sleeping.

That's just one guy out of millions of insomniacs. 10 days is insane I worry when I hit the 3 day mark but I always get sleep somehow eventually. Insomnia fucking sucks.

@@MarshallBros lol now I'm on day 3 of no sleep. It sucks dude I just lay there all night and my brain never turns off. I could take sleeping pills but they don't always work either and even if you sleep, you'll feel groggy and have brain fog.
Yeah insomnia is pretty overlooked it's a vicious cycle of worrying and fatigue.
I'll be honest tho, seeing this video helped calm my anxiety a bit, obviously they survived 5 days and so can I.
I have insomnia because I was a paramedic for about 10 years and I used to work at couple of jobs where we worked 12 hour shifts but mostly I worked 24 hour shifts up to 50 hours straight. If we didn’t have any calls we were at a station where we could sleep. We had sleeping quarters and a living room and a kitchen to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I did that for about 10 years and I also worked as an RT (respiratory therapist) for 5 years where I worked 12-16 hours straight. Because of those crazy shifts I struggle even now with insomnia and I haven’t worked since November 2015 due to serious health issues. I usually sleep no more than 2-3 hours in a row. If I can get more than that in a row it’s a miracle. I will usually crash for most of the day and night after getting only a few hours of sleep in a 24 hour period for a couple of months. It’s dangerous what he is doing. There are debates if medics and firefighters should be allowed to work 24-48 hours in a row because if you get a lot of calls you may not get any sleep for 48 hours or even more if you have a call right before the end of your shift and the call is a long one. Some places let medics work for up to 72 hours in a row. If this guy doing these challenges crashes his car doing this “driving test” and injures or kills someone he would most likely go to prison because he drove knowing he hasn’t slept. It’s literally driving impaired.

my best is 38 hours. i started at 8am on december 31 and went to sleep on Janurary 1, 10 pm. only did it because of new years.. the next day i felt sick but not tired at all. just sick. cant imagine what they're going through :(

I have survived like 6 hrs sleep for every three days like for 6 months and it deteriorated my health like crazy. Foul breath, lost appetite, illusions, crazy ideas, but not gonna lie it was fun but never will i attempt it again.
