The next time you have some grease go to the dollar store and get some cheap oven cleaner...
As far as the paint, go old school, kerosene and a rag... Much cheaper...and works pretty good...
This will be an interesting project...

@@Rustomod my uncle discovered it by accident and after he had accidentally brushed up against his 54 Ford with a rag that had kerosene on it.. he decided to do the whole car.. paint looked brand new for a week...lol..

Guys keep a eye out for a wheel lift and take the sling off the Truck. I have seen them sell for, 500 It will be much better,And safer.

I'm guessing one of two places station next to B&J or Ted's Towing. Ted's stuff usually red and if it's Ted's my old boss had the square body that replaced that truck. Other than years they have that same look.

That would be cool the truck has paperwork in it that says it was a Texaco truck

I think that Texaco station is exactly where it’s from it belonged to J . Heavner who owned the Texaco station off the side of Route 210 Indian head highway at the time. When the station was sold around 1980 the truck got parked behind one of his daughter’s homes in Bryan’s Road MD in the woods.
He had offers to buy it but would never sell it and it stayed in the woods.

I say remove the towing off and clean the bed floor and add wood for pretty design and lower it , that be sick.
