Ettienne is a beast but cant do it without anyone blocking.. Luke fortner was worst center in NFL. So yeah, Jags were forced to throw all the time and in 3 and long situations constantly forcing trev to force the ball and box stat watchers to criticize him for not padding his stats.

But what are the Jags supposed to do? If they don't pony up the money now they either do in the future for 60+ per year OR he walks - because I guarantee you some other teams right now would pay him huge money. And where does that leave the Jags? Answer, nowhere.

I’ve complained that I think Trevor isn’t great at touch passes. So be it. Even if I’m right he has a killer arm and he’s top-5 in arm strength and downfield passing ability in the NFL. Allen. Mahomes. Herbert. Trevor. (80 yards, 80, 75, 70 to 75 from what I’ve seen.). That’s probably about right. Now CJ Stroud ain’t no slouch either - I’m guessing he can throw a dime up to 70 - along with the rest of the QBs in the AFC South. But Trevor has a bunch of intangibles that simply can’t be replaced. If you look at comps I think Trevor is worth 50-mil min. You simply can’t find that kind of arm talent out there.
