I’m a supervisor for phlebotomy and have been a phlebotomist for 18 years. Honestly the most important thing I need to know when hiring is if you can actually draw blood! I could care less about where and how you got your training. I want to know that you are a skilled phlebotomist that’s all. I’m in Florida and a certification is a plus but not required.

Hello! My name is Tori I own a Phlebotomy School called Thee Phlebotomy Studio LLC Once you have obtained your NHA Certification, you do not need another license. NHA is a NATIONAL CERTIFIYING BODY. You can pretty must go to any state. New York and California can be tricky. I hope this helps😊
With preppy how do you get your hands on training?
go to a blood donation center or American red cross for training
I did this course in 2010 and redid it as a refresher's course this year. I am still looking for a job.🤦♀️I don't know if it's my age or my resume but I am not getting any job offer in Los Angeles, Lancaster area. I work for Kaiser Permanente in another field and the SEIU 399 union states I can be transferred in but still unable to transfer into the lab. Kaiser has paid for my employee tuition but still wan't to hire me as an on call employee. Not only will I lose seniority but also my benefits as fulltime.😢😢
that was me. I was a phlebotomist couple years ago. my certification expired and I might not go back. I lives in California. took me a good while to get a job. but definitely apply to Quest diagnostics. I worked in Burbank for a year. but they have quest in other places. just try.
Hello! My name is Tori I have a phlebotomy school called Thee Phlebotomy Studio. The pointer that I can give. Revamp your resume. Also, go to places like your local blood bank and dialysis company. Quest is a very good place as well. May I ask are you getting interviews? Also, when you starting anything on a entry-level basis you will have to make some hard decisions on seniority and so forth. There's a course in my area that offers the class in 3 days for $495 and a $100 non-refundable deposit. Would you suggest this? I don't want to waste time and money.
That's great. I'm in NYC and 1 place wants $855. Another wants $1100. Some colleges want $15k.
@@Low_Key_Ree UPDATE: Our State Attorney General just announced that they are sueing this company for false advertising cause if you take this course you won't be certified by the state and all you'll get is just a certificate saying you took their course. I'm so glad I didn't even get a chance to call them.

How can I do clinical with you. I got my National Certification. I do need to practice
