I've been a phlebotomist as well as an ER tech for 15 years and I'm certified with the National phlebotomy association as well, so with all that experience it just dawned on me, why am I not getting paid to teach this?

As a pre analytical supervisor I have seen the lack of knowledge from mew phlebotomists specially from these 1-2 day crash courses. I would love more information on how to open one here in Washington state

What is the average cost to start a phlebotomy school in Texas and are their loan or grant programs to help?
This is good info, I plan on opening a phlebotomy school in Illinois, but I also would like to double down and provide a class on EKG's. Do you have any info on EKG requirements?

If you have a staffing business and want to open up a school under that name can we or do we have to do another LLC separately?
It is completely up to you. I suggest talking to an attorney about that. You have to consider legalities and consider litigation issues. You want to weigh the risks.

It depends on the state but more than likely yes. In order to certify people they may say you need to be certified too.

Great video Victoria. I want to add that there is actually oversight in every state. Unlicensed mini courses that takes payment for tuition are not allowed in ANY state. There is a list of exemptions for all states and that is never mentioned as an exemption to not be licensed and approved. Great video tho!!! Filled with good info.
Thank you for sharing your expertise! Only so much I can get into 7 mins. I would like to also say there are a few other governing bodies however the ones mentioned have the highest regards. Everyone watching, I would highly recommend that you head over to Char’s CZcams channel!! She is very well versed on this topic and is the owner of a Phlebotomy school in Ohio. Her CZcams channel is phenomenal.
Yes. You can be viewed as exempt if you do continuing Ed classes- For those with previous experience and certifications. Just like most of those “crash courses” are hopefully nationally certified but teaching as a continuing Ed for state exception. Get with me for those continuing Ed classes. And then push to being State Certified for State Funding. Then you’ll be noted as a class state certified and can teach those without previous experience.
But I do agree, one weekend is not enough If they don’t already work in that field.
Exceptions are the continuing Ed class friend!!
