CHOICES?

Written following the Presidential Debate on June 27, 2024. There is clearly only one choice, it is my hope that people will get to thinking and get out to VOTE!
CHOICES?
Round and round here we go again - so let us look at our choice
Doubtful this election cycle - that either side should rejoice
On one hand we have - a delusional convicted felon
On the other a man - who may not possess a full melon
It has often been said - vote for the lesser of two evils
Well this time around folks - either may cause major upheaval
They can debate all they want - name call while they fume and they fuss
Truth be told neither one - sincerely works for any of us
One cannot accept the fact - that the last time he did not win
Wants you to believe lies - by repeating them time and again
He only sees what he wants - living in his own little world
Revenge now his motivation - more deceptions are unfurled
The other appears weary - though he has noble intentions
He seems to wander and fade - like he’s not paying attention
Talked more about the issues - answered questions as they were asked
Gotta wonder if this time - if he will be up to the task
All their lies and deceptions - often too many for fact check
Can’t be sure if either of them - is playing with a full deck
We’re talking leader of the free world - so take plenty of notes
Though our choices are suspect - please get your ass out there and VOTE!
