Excellent video great day for Sean with a 21 pound specimen pike starting off no complaints there, what depth are you trolling the lures under the surface with the plainer boards and are they used to present the baits down deeper in the water column or to cover a wider area from the boat or both Senan and l see you leave them on when netting big Mama pike, do you have to clip them off or just leave them on when landing the fish?
Thanks bud! The lures are usually being trolled down to about 15/20 ft, I’m using the planer boards to cover more water more chance of hitting a fish, I always try to unclip the board when I get a fish but the problem is you need to keep tention to the fish so sometimes it’s easiest to just play the fish with the board still on the line, it doesn’t really get in the way at all because it floats so it’s grand 😅🎣

Would you charter a day out for me an a friend senan, we shore fish cavan loughs. Never as lucky tho.
As soon as I start guiding I will bring ye out bud no problem, just very limited with time right now and have a lot of people promised, will get ye out eventually just flat out right now between work and making videos ✌️
