Hydrophobia is a good game that I feel like it's held back by how it ends, where it feels like it got cut off and doesn't feel as satisfying for an ending, not to mention including mechanics that barely get introduced by the time you hit that end screen felt like at least there was one more act to wrap things up.
It's like seeing a 3 act film with only able to see 2, I feel like if any game deserves a remake or heck an reimagining I feel Hydrophobia deserves it, I especially loved the exploration in the game on top of the storytelling, at times it felt like a Metroid-Vania but in 3D which isn't a bad thing and definitely a good direction if say the game were to be remade or Reimagined.

This was one of my fav 360 games I even rebought it on PC for the improve version but I kinda prefered the Scotish voice for the radio guy on the 360.
Your the first person I’ve ever seen say that. I didn’t mind scoots voice in the original even though it was hard to understand him but once we got the new voice, unthought it was a perfect fit.

When this game originally released for pc it was a mess. It got a lot of bad reviews and people wrote it off, but the dev went back and fixed most of the issues, and the game now sells for $5 on Steam. Wish it had gotten a sequel.
Yeah I took a chance on this one many years ago on 360 and was glad I did as it’s definitely a gem in my opinion. The opening level was nerve racking, claustrophobia inducing and was happy no aliens were chasing me cuz I couldn’t take much more.
Taking a chance was the best and worse thing for me because though I enjoyed the game, it was meant to have a total of 3 separate games. It’s unfortunate we never got the rest.
Oh yeah the water was so cool I thought. I really liked this game when it came out. A solid 7/10. It’s not perfect but it was also only like $15 or $20! I remember feeling like people were a bit rough on it.
Yeah I feel they were rough on the original version as well, but I’m glad they fixed a lot of the issues people were complaining about.
