A lot of people were complaining that some of them had mean takes or needed to move on with no explanation. They have a lot of videos to get through. If they’re not harsher in judgement or have a criteria, they can’t go forward. They asked people to showcase their talent or streamer moments and a lot of them didn’t. This isn’t a randomized pick. You need to showcase yourself and show your potential.
Really interesting hearing Lud’s feedback on a lot of these. He clearly has a really good understanding on how to succeed in the industry. Also his story on how he first grew as a small streamer via a nuzlocke where he banned all of his subscribers over time is WILD
Ludwig actually really good at constructive criticism. I feel like I could use his voice in the back of my head when I'm feeling unnecessarily down about my goals. Like, a lot of times I see personal failings when really it's just me lacking clarity on what I want/how badly I want it/clear steps to my goals. And honestly, it felt like he was coming from a supportive, CONSTRUCTIVE place, and that's pretty cool, it's like a friend encouraging you to find what's true and good for you in life. Neato. Edit clarification: 2:06:18 Lud does not give a fuck about me
I definitely learned a lot from watching this. Basically, be UNIQUE. Do something different. Everyone plays Valo and Fortnite so it’s really hard for you to stand out from the crowd. Let your personality show because I usually stay watching if they’re funny, wholesome, or different.
I'd like to hear luds perspective on being/trying to start as an event streamer, big or small. Considering him and QT are some of the best at it. Always thought the "sitting around playing games" aspect of streaming was just boring and monotonous, but seems to be the only way to build a community/connections.
Yeah but let's be honest twitch (the biggest streaming platform) used to be a really hostile place to female streamer until people like Rae, poki, otv able to carved a safe space for female streamer.
Such a fun stream !! It’s seems hard to get through 700 people but no one is complaining it means more stream hours 🎉🎉 but maybe it’s hard for you guys since it’s time consuming
Mika reminds me of my dog. We can't play Monopoly on the floor because he will stand in the middle of the board or lie down with his head on the board... he just wants to be included
I think it would make the process of getting through applications better if you guys say no to people with good set ups and maybe just keep giving advice on how they can improve. If they have good potential and setup it should be a no as well. Because the prize at the end of all of this is set ups for 3 individuals to help them stream. Also, it's giving all the applicants exposure and people will naturally gain followers and such from your chats/ anyone who watches. Other than that I think Streamas was done nicely and I can't wait to see more. (Edit: While I do agree that you can't necessarily judge someone's set up, because a few of the applicants so far who seemed more genuinely into wanting to stream, were people with decent ones. There were also a few who had set ups that could run a variety of games, and maybe just needed a decent cam, ones who just needed to work on using their resources and personality to better captivate an audience, or ones who had pretty much everything but just struggle with gaining more audience ((which I think the streamas and advice from the judges helped with.)) It's a very fickle thing because it's hard to judge who's in it for wanting to be better capable of streaming, just wants a new set up, or just wants/needs exposure to grow. Anyway, I know Rae and Miyoung know what they're doing and will have better judgment on who they think is most deserving and persevering in wanting to stream.) Good Luck Applicants!
I feel like "good set up" is pretty circumstantial. Basing this off of my own equipment, I technically have really good specs when it comes to a computer, and a hyperx mic. But my computer is old and can barely run minecraft, and despite being 1 year old my mic refuses to connect to discord or streamlabs...
But they said they want people making an effort to stream and that are trying at streaming which means having a good set up already. They want people to have clips and show what they do so that entails already having a cam and mic and things. They were so over the people that had short submissions.
Rae mentioned that they shouldn’t be judged on set up, because you can’t assume how they got it or that they aren’t deserving. Like one of the previous comments said, this is to help people who are already streaming. I know that sounds mean but having a decent set up already shows their effort in continuing streaming.
It seems more like a lot of people were just excited to introduce themselves to streamers they love, so they didn't have much to show for their stream. It does feel like Rae was unsure how to judge them since some were so inexperienced and had nothing that would make them go big while others had potential but still weren't at a high level. If they hadn't, I think they should make it clear whether this competition is purely for advice or to find someone wanting to get big and actually putting in effort in some way. You don't join a competition with nothing to show for it except "you want to be good".
imo the purpose of this competition was to give streaming set-up to people that has potential to be big but aren’t there yet bc of their shitty set-ups. the first day - judges were focus more on people’s set ups than their potential. this stream/2nd day - judges were focus more on their potential as a streamer. I think there should be like a criteria put into place for judging cuz i think throughout the stream they did get a bit off track on what they were doing the competition for.
I feel like some chatters are so braindead. Do they really think that you can make it into streaming if you’re extremely shy and uncharismatic? Do they actually believe that Sykkuno for example is really shy while simultaneously streaming for thousands and thousands of people? What copium are they huffing 💀.
Rae could’ve at least pretended to care about the Streamas. Hundreds of people spent a lot of time making these application videos and Rae couldn’t be bothered. She missed at least a dozen of applicant’s videos during the last stream, going in and out of the room. It’s really disappointing since we spent a lot of time and effort making these videos.

Ludwig is the perfect judge for these kinds of things

Yes making unique content is the key. But playing a game because you wanna be unique and not because you like it is gonna destroy you...
2:44:43 I love how they all instantly react to him calling Rae Rachell 😂 Rae literally shook
I doubt he meant anything by it beyond getting a reaction, but yeah it felt so weird
The energy is so cute in this stream 😊

It is really amazing how many of these creators are female, you and your friends have been such an inspiration in a very male-dominated space!
Make better content and you will be noticed, nothing to do with fermale or male
Yeah but let's be honest twitch (the biggest streaming platform) used to be a really hostile place to female streamer until people like Rae, poki, otv able to carved a safe space for female streamer.
This is a gold mine of streaming tips.
“Join us and die” it’s from a song by a team Starkid from their CZcams musical “The Guy who didn’t like musicals”
Fascinating. 🤩 Loved watching. Ty!
Such a comfy stream 🤍
i missed ya rae, you guys look absolutely beautiful, i also hope you're feeling better ♥

Ludwig is hilarious. Great stream!
the only unique people that i’ve seen today was both of the golden buzzers. the rest are doing the same thing that big streamers are already doing
Constructive criticism was good 👍

omg there was giveaways and i missed it BLUBBERRRZZZ
