In my opinion, this is a message for each of us, including you. Of course you are right about institutions, associations, state services, RELIGIONS!!! etc. They should be a one-of-a-kind model! But we as humans like to correct others without seeing our own flaws, problems, behaviors.
Go fix yourself instead someone else - A lot of people will say that: It is better to talk about someone else sins instead of ours.
If human had built-in self-reflection and awareness of his own flaws and mistakes, there would be much less senseless conflicts in the world. But only a few percent can stand in front of the mirror, look in the eyes and say, "Yes, I made a mistake".

@@ainevek some people go, and pay, but certainly not me or you! I just meant, nobody should fix nobody, wherevere, before controlling themselves first. No lessons, no teachings and no belongings...

This album is the best thing since The Cures Disintegration! It takes you on such a journey. Brian is mature here but very generous. It's stripped of pretention and is angry, sad, despairing and alienated and much more besides! I feel Brian is sharing with us the disillusionment and ennui of these times.. Harbingers of doom! Thank you Placebo. Very much needed right here, right now
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Meds came out in '06, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to David Bowie, but I think Brian has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

Sure, since 1998. Maybe even since the Beatles, right? The whole 90s were good for nothing, as was the early millennium, and now the entire music industry has been revived. No Smashing Pumpkins, no Editors, no Eels, etc. Just THIS eponymous album "takes you on the journey". Btw - they had much better times in some 1998-2006.
This song reminds me of the very best of Placebo. Artistic, dark brilliance. The last few tracks on this album are particularly breathtaking and take it to a whole new level. Bravo.

This entire album is just fire 🔥 The last three tracks flow beautifully together as an outro ❤ I cant wait to see them in Bristol where they're going to play right outside where I work!

Brian is honouring David Bowie with this in many ways because of catching fully the Bowie Flow . I am sure he would have loved this song.
@Jeroen : Yes I am. Because David had a pretty similar style in some of his songs, especially with the way how Brian is singing the vocals in this. So I think David would have honoured that and loved it as well. David was also always someone who stood up for a free mindset and letting people live however they wanted to, without living for the beliefs of others. 😉
