I’m getting my custom made insignia self-ligating braces put on in 11 days and I’m SO excited!!!! Wanted then my whole life

How do I open these type of brackets? I had the retainer rod fall out and idk how to put it back, my dentist told me I could do it at home.

Im using self- ligating too and its totally fine its just more more expensive than the one with color rubber or traditional braces :33

Can you slow folks stop asking if these braces close gaps and fix overbites??? These are braces! They do the exact same thing as traditional braces
It’s kinda cool knowing I have these and they’re considered more expensive and better than traditional braces. I’ve had them on for 8 months now and yes I do see a difference but I’m getting nervous that they’re not doing more for me. One particular tooth hasn’t moved much and it’s actually the one I’ve been wanting to straighten out so seeing it still in it’s crooked place bothers me. They’re called self tightening but without being tightened from the ortho how does the band know when to stop?
braces don’t move so quick it takes 2 years + depending on how your teeth is

umm i had these before and i went back to the orthodontist and they took off the clip thing and put color bands is that normal

Same if you need / get powerchains i'm pretty sure they will have colours, unless your orthodontist just sucks and doesn't have any coloured ones

My orthodontist suggested me these type of braces and i wasnt well informed, so im just curious if its much better than ordinary and if its worth all the money?

@@dilegox not yet tbh except in my smile i feel like it became wider, but not major changes, cuz my main problem isnt crooked teeth, i have protrusion, so i will be getting Mini screws on my gums in order to push them back in

@@akashpanchal8237 it will be hurted for 3 to 4 days. After that it is normal. Trust me I have gone through that. Mine is severe due to scissors bite of upper and lower teeth .

@@ritushukla9284 these are more expensive than traditional braces though. It will depend on the person's teeth too. My case is complicated only because of the jaw. All teeth are straight for the most part but gappy. And missing teeth genetically. I went to 3 places for consultation. One was a dental school. 5600 for just braces but up to 20k for jaw surgery (can't afford that)
Next place 7250. Insurance would have helped 1500 of that cost.
3rd place was 8864. Insurance covered the 1500 and in network deal between the company and my insurance. Final responsibility is 3000. 500 down. 2500 ending but these are all for traditional metal braces . Average cost 4k to 10k in the USA. That's why these self ligating braces can't be only 900. I expected a response of 8k for the cost.
@@sparkle11971 oh! So that means in India it's much cheaper. I paid around 70000 INR....In USD it comes to about 920 .
My teeth are straight but have serious biting issues. Within a week I fractured two of my molars.

In one of Dr Derek Mahony's vids, I think he mentioned a method for Orthodontists to put colored bands on self-ligating brackets, just for the color, if patients want.
