What is a Physician Associate?

Physician Associates (PAs) are health care professionals who have been trained to the medical model and work under the supervision of a consultant or GP.
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH) is the largest employer of PAs in the region. PAs improve continuity of care on a ward level and enhance the medical workforce at SASH.
