The Role of Physician Associates

Physician Associates (PA) are healthcare professionals who are graduates of a health- or science-related degree programme, and have completed an additional two-year university course in the medical model. They work under the supervision of a consultant or GP, and support them with providing patient care.
This video explains the role of the PA, the endless career options available to them, how they form part of multi-disciplinary healthcare teams, and the benefits they bring to healthcare services.

Peace be to you all! Greetings from America!😊🇺🇸 This is interesting to see how the PA paradigm is being embraced around the world! I prefer the term "associate" now, to "assistant" because it more accurately describes our relationship with the doctors. It would be great to talk with some PAs from Wales; cross-cultural exchange of ideas!

I dont like how the blond girl states that PAs assist doctors. We dont assist we extend medical care practice to patients.
