  • We graded these cards with three different graders to see who grades the toughest! Well, I guess you’ll just have to watch it to see how they turned out!

    People say that SGC grades are easier to get, but in my expirence they are the HARDEST graders of the tops 3. I'd love to see what these would do with an AI grader like TAG or AGS.

      @nothingbutcardboard  Před 2 měsíci

      Lol- I think we are done with these cards.
      Have you used TAG or AGS before, if so what are your thoughts?
      To me there still needs to be a human side to grading, but they also need to use AI and technology to help them grade the cards. I do not feel like there is any “ perfect way”- but someone needs to come up with a system of grading that is consistent. I think everyone would be happy if we just had consistent grading with each submission: not 1 sub is good (9 and 10s) and then the next we get crushed (9s and lower)

      @@nothingbutcardboardI've had some really good luck with both, as far as the grades, they are what were to be expected I think removing the human element with AI since it uses machines/technology would give a more consistant grade over and over and over instead of having 50 different people looking at my cards every time I submit them. I would love to test my theory though and resub a card with both Tag and AGS since they both use AI and see how close their grading models are to each other... or even grading with one company twice to see what it gets again the second time. It would be fun and interesting to see this done with Tag and AGS both and then compare them as well.

    Making me wonder about how the slabs may be effecting the cards with time....especially the Kobe. Possible it was way less greening when it went to BGS and they mostly hit it for other flaws but with time...that amplified? Of course that isn't same for the other but just has me thinking 🤔🤣
    Do agree seeing them go through something like Tag where you can pull up the images to see everything in super detail would be cool (but also understand tapping out on these)

    Quite the roller coaster! I went to check on your Ebay store to see how much you were pricing each of these SGC slabs for with current grades to my surprise were cracked out and listed as raw. Curious what your thought process or strategy is? Let others submit to their preferred grader and spin wheel on grade.

    • @TylerGniadek

    Lol oh man. Ultra modern is a bit different, but if your grading stuff a bit older (90s), then SGC has the lowest gem rate, basically always. Your better off cracking those and resending to PSA. Youll get different grades for sure, ha hopefully this time going up.

    If I was you guys, I would probably take your cleaning videos off because of PSA season now they’re going to be decertified cards for cleaning and waxing

    • @nothingbutcardboard
      @nothingbutcardboard  Před 2 měsíci

      Going forward we probably won’t post specifics as far as cert numbers goes. But PSA would have to spend a lot of time going through CZcams videos to figure out what cards may have been cleaned. And even then, I don’t think they would have definitive evidence. I think they just made an example out of Kurt.

      PSA talking about smelling for car wax and checking for residue

    • @nothingbutcardboard
      @nothingbutcardboard  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Not necessarily. Based off this test, we are probably going to stick to more modern cards. But as far as cleaning goes, everything I’ve seen that has come out has been about soaking cards which can cause delamination. So I understand where some concern could come from there long term. But I don’t believe normal cleaning would cause any long term damage. Either way it doesn’t sound like grading companies can tell. So we will probably still clean up cards unless something changes.
